Jason shot her a frosty look, but Estrella just entled at him, her eyes crinkling into slits Having landed the legal prosy, her spirits were earing
Then, setzing the moment, Kristin chimed in, “son, Estrella, it’s not often you guys come home Why don’t you stay over tonight?”
Amber added, “This old house has great vibes You two stay the night, and who knows, Estrella might get pregnant”
She continued with a twinkle in her eye, “Jaso, you put in a good effort later. Let’s aim for twins”
Jason sighed. When all was said and done, the family just wanted them to hurry up and have a baby
So, when they got back to the bedroom upstats, Estrella asked, “So, are we doing this?” Jason gave her an indifferent glance. “Estrella, can’t you think of anything else?” Estrella chuckled. “What else is there to think about when I am with you? Besides, would you be okay if it was with someone else?”

Estrella brushed his hand away and wrapped her arms around his neck. “You’re my husband. Why would I need any pretenses?” For her, having a child was far more important than maintaining her image. Besides, she had long since lost any image she had in Jason’s eyes.
Looking down at her, Jason said, “Estrella, that’s no way for a woman to behave.” “Nonsense,” Estrella retorted. “I’m exactly that kind of woman.”
Then, standing on her tiptoes, her lips almost brushed his as she called out, “Jason.”
“Hmm?” Jason’s response seemed to wind around her. Taking the cue, Estrella pressed her lips firmly to his.
With the softness of her kiss, Jason tensed, his arms wrapping around her waist. As he meant to push her away, his hands kneaded her instead. He was starting to lose control.
His body felt a surge of heat and restlessness, but Estrella’s little scheming, as well as the Intentions of his parents and grandparents, became clear once again. So, he pushed away Estrella and went straight to the bathroom.

In a split second, Estrella’s patience exploded. She ripped off her slippers and hurled them towards the bathroom. “Jason, are you even a man?”
Jason actually preferred to handle things in the bathroom rather than touch her. Estrella felt humiliated.
Half an hour later, when Jason emerged from the bathroom, Estrella was already lying down, turned away from him. As Jason sat down next to her and accidentally touched. her, Estrella spun around and kicked him, catching him off guard and sending him tumbling to the floor.
“Estrella.” Jason roared in a low voice, but Estrella remained silent, her back still to him.
Rubbing his forehead, Jason knew she was genuinely angry this time. He sat beside her again, and when Estrella tried to kick him, he pinned her down, leaving her no room to
move.
Knowing she was no match for Jason, Estrella propped herself up on the bed. “Fine, I’ll leave if that’s what you want.” She couldn’t accept the way things had gone with Jason just moments ago. No wife should have to endure such frustration.
With a darkened expression, Jason said, “Estrella, can’t you just keep it down for one night?”
She was the one making a fuss? Estrella felt a sudden surge of self-pity, her eyes welling up, but she quickly composed herself. “Jason, if you really can’t stand this life, go and talk to your dad.”
After two years, she was tired of the coldness and the loneliness. If it wasn’t working, it was better to end things sooner rather than later. Whether she had children or became a mother wasn’t such a big deal.
She started to reach for her coat in the wardrobe.
Seeing she meant business, Jason grabbed her arm. Estrella swung back, and with a forceful pull, he sent her sprawling onto the bed. As Estrella tried to rise, Jason pressed. down on her, his hands over hers. “Estrella, let’s not turn this into something we can’t back down from.”
They had just acted like a loving couple, and now she was turning her back and walking out? What would the elders think?
Tears rimming her eyes, Estrella turned her head away, refusing to look at Jason.
Jason felt a tug in his heart and leaned in to kiss her, but Estrella buried her face deeper into the pillow. At this moment, she was no longer willing, and she didn’t care about Jason anymore.
Powerless, he tried to reason with her gently, “Didn’t we agree before coming back? I will come home once a week.”

For the first time in their two-year marriage, Jason was softening his stance, speaking to her with such patience, but Estrella remained silent.
That night, Jason held her as they slept. Estrella, with her back to him, kept her eyes red and her heart empty. She knew that Jason’s sudden good mood was merely out of concern for his family’s feelings. To him, what was she? Nothing more than a shameless woman who was desperate to get into his bed. So, despite being married, even though she was the one making advances, he still wouldn’t touch her.
Estrella spent the night awake. Jason, however, slept soundly with her in his arms, more peacefully than ever before. But when he woke up, her side of the bed was cold; Estrella was already gone.
Jason turned to look at the side, thinking about her stubbornness last night. She didn’t even let him touch her, always facing away from him. He felt uncomfortable in his heart. In the past, no matter what he said or did, how he glared at her, she always faced him with a smile. This time, she wasn’t playing along.
Meanwhile, Estrella had arrived at the law firm early, before office hours, to prepare the contract for Nelson International.
Due to Landon’s prior arrangement, after Estrella went to Nelson International, she didn’t go to find Jason directly. Instead, she signed the contract with the legal department. When Drew reported this to Jason, his face turned sour on the spot. When she had nothing pressing, she didn’t even seek him out.
Estrella had caused quite a stir in the legal circles when she, as a newcomer, signed on as the legal representative for Nelson International under the banner of her firm. Nobody in the law firm had expected her to land such a prestigious client; they had sent her merely to test the waters, but Estrella secured the deal with surprising swiftness.
Her supervisor was over the moon, throwing a lavish dinner party that very evening to celebrate with the entire staff.
At the dinner table, the director, beaming with pride, raised his glass to Estrella, “You’re full of surprises, Estrella! A delightful shock, indeed. We’ve been chasing this partnership for years, and you snag it just like that on your first try. You, my dear, had a certain spark from the very first glance. I knew you were destined for great things. Here’s to you, Estrella.” Estrella stood, glass in hand, “Thank you, sir.”
The supervisor downed his drink in one gulp, and Estrella, not to be outdone, followed suit.
