Chapter 3 Ruin the Wedding

“Erm…” Kevin didn’t tell her about that. Ryan’s every question stressed her out. If it wasn’t for the

generous reward, she would have already fled. Charlotte realized that her forehead was covered in

sweat. After taking a few deep breaths, she forced herself to calm down. Through gritted teeth, she

blurted two words, “Right arm!” Ryan reached out his left hand and undid the buttons on his right

sleeve. Rolling it up, he showed it to the guests. “Please take a close look, everyone. Does my right

with certainty, so Ryan undid the button on his left sleeve and showed it to the crowd again. Due to

everyone here is wiser than me. You should have realized that this woman is trying to ruin my wedding.

In the middle of the warm hug, Catherine felt that his gaze fell on her again. It was full of anger, yet no

guests who had just condemned Ryan through whispers and murmurs suddenly gave him a round of

warm applause. Even his dad—Mr. Walker, who always wore a serious face, revealed a tiny smile as

he nodded at his son. Catherine thought that if she had arranged for someone to make a scene at the

wedding, Jasmine wouldn’t have tolerated Ryan for having cheated on her. She expected her best

friend to slap him in the face and leave the wedding angrily. Never did she expect Jasmine to be so

cool-headed and rational about it.

Now, Catherine just wanted to escape, but Leonardo whispered to her ear, “Hey, beauty. Why didn’t

you clap? Isn’t my brother cool?” She rolled her eyes at him and thought, . ‘Cool?! my plan was

ruined… How can I save best friend? Oh my… Ryan will definitely kill me for this.’ After Mr. Walker

gave a hint, the head of security hurriedly escorted the pregnant woman out of the wedding hall. The

wedding continued after the minor incident. Once the ceremony ended, Catherine fled without having a

meal. Leonardo was unwilling to accept his failure to tackle a beauty, so he had been observing her

every movement. When she left the hall, he followed her. “Where are you going?” Since he was Ryan’s

brother, Ryan would surely make things difficult for her if he saw her talking to Leonardo. Once, Ryan

had caught her talking to the mailman. He scolded her for her talking to other men and tortured her all

night.

“My boyfriend is coming to pick me up. Thanks,” she answered coldly. “Okay, then. Whenever you

wanna change a boyfriend, just know I’m always waiting for you. People call me the golden bachelor!”

Leonardo said narcissistically. “We’re not gonna break up. Bye,” Catherine waved her hand and

answered. After hailing a taxi, she got into the car and left. Leonardo was taken aback by her reaction

as he watched the car leave the hotel. He found her interesting as she was indifferent to his good looks

and status. ‘Just wait and see, woman. We’ll meet again soon,’ he thought. Catherine returned to the novelbin

apartment in the city center Ryan had arranged for her. Entering the bathroom, she took a shower to

wash away all the filthy acts he had done to her in the hotel bathroom earlier. She scrubbed her skin

until it turned red, but her heart was aching. “

Catherine, you’re just sad because you were insulted by him, not because you love him,” she muttered

to herself. Perhaps it was due to the previous events that happened throughout the day, Catherine

missed Cayden Allen much more. She convinced herself that she still loved him. As for Ryan, he was

just a habit her body was used to since they had spent about two to three years together. Kevin once

told her, “If you want Ryan to fall in love with you, you have to fall in love with him first. If you don’t love

him, just pretend it first, and gradually you will eventually love him. When he feels your sincerity, he’ll

fall for you too.” Back then, Catherine was only twenty, so she simply took Kevin’s words as a motto.

She thought that she was already Ryan’s woman, so she should find a way to make him fall in love with

her, then they would live happily ever after. At that time, Ryan had invested in the company of her

father, Mr.Green. This had saved Mr. Green from bankrupt, who had planned to commit suicide by

jumping off the building.

Ryan’s condition was to make Catherine become his woman. To put it bluntly, Ryan wanted to keep

her by her side. Back them, she was young, so she didn’t know what else she could do to prevent

losing her father. Even though it was hard, Catherine forced herself to forget about Cayden. She

spared no effort to learn about and please Ryan. Catherine thought Ryan should have loved her at

least a little. Otherwise, why would he be so obsessed with her body? However, the moment she saw

him staring at Jasmine lovingly, she finally realized how stupid she was. Catherine finally woke up to

reality. From now on, she wouldn’t allow herself to have feelings for him. She wasn’t going to love him

anymore.
