But what was going on? Jessica stood awkwardly beside them, as though waiting for Damien to scold her. However, Damien didn’t say anything. She had no choice but to say, “If… If there’s nothing else, I’ll leave first.”

Damien paid no attention to Jessica and untied the ribbon on the cake box.

There was a chocolate layered cake in the box.

“You’re only allowed to eat one piece. No more than that.”

He cut the cake and handed a slice to her on a plate.

Ava looked at him in fear. She couldn’t decipher the emotions in his indifferent eyes.

She did not dare to eat the cake. For a moment, she suspected that Damien was trying to poison her.

“Why are you here?”
