Laurel left Acme Club.
As she was about to get into her car to go back, she suddenly thought of something and took out her
phone to make a call.
The call connected.
It was noisy on the other end of the line.
“Laurel, why are you calling me so late?” Shelley’s voice came through with excitement.
Probably Laurel was drinking.
“Where are you?” Laurel asked.
“At a nightclub!”
“Acme Club?”
“How did you know?”
“I’m outside. Come out.”
“What are you doing here?” Shelley sounded annoyed.
Laurel had never been to such a place before.

Shelley hung up the phone and rushed out.
She saw Laurel standing not far from the entrance, waiting for

Laurel then said, “My mother’s birthday is in half a month.”

Shelley wanted to cry. “I want to stay at the nightclub!”
Laurel opened the car door and pulled Shelley out of the car.

“Be good. Go home early.” Laurel pulled Shelley to the front gate of Shelley’s house.
This was Laurel’s second life.
She didn’t want Shelley to make the same mistake.
“Okay.” Shelley looked unhappy.
