Chapter 22: TWENTY-ONE

MEGHAN's POV

A few days passed, and now Lucas was looking for us. I saw his staff looking elsewhere. That is why

we are very careful not to be seen.

Every time we go out, we can barely see our faces. We are far from us, but even here in manila they

have reached! Is he still not tired? And to this day he is still looking for me?

I was on my way home, because I saw one of Lucas' staff in the mall. Jace is also coming home for

sure, maybe he was ahead of me when I got home.

I immediately left when I saw his staff leave the mall.

Did they see me? I quickly hailed a taxi. While in the taxi, I called Sapphire. Maybe Lucas is pressuring

her again to get me.

"Hello?"

I was surprised when someone answered his cellphone. This is her number ah? Why did someone else

answer? Man!

"Who is this? Where is Sapphire ?!" I asked boldly. Maybe it's Lucas' man!

"HAHAHAHA!"

He suddenly laughed on the other line. That's why I was surrounded by his laughter.

"Calm down Meghan. HAHAHAHAH! You're so paranoid!"

His voice is familiar, but I do not know who he is! So I was even more nervous.

"Why are you holding my phone huh ?! That's mine! Idiot!" I heard Sapphire shout.

"Girl! OMG! You are!" she shouted on the other line.

"Who's that?" I asked her.

"A-ah my driver, he is very caring eh-"

"What driver ?! I'm handsome to be your driver! Aw! That's enough! That hurts!"

They fight on the other line. So who is that? Why do they seem so sweet?

"Who?" I asked again. I know he will give too so I will tickle him even more.

"Oh don't think of anything!" She chased.

"Okay," I aid while laughing even though she could not see.

"I'm going home, later I'll call you again," I said and turned off the call.

I did not realize that I was at home. So I went down and entered. I was surprised that there was

another car here. Jace's car is here too. I was suddenly nervous. Couldn't we have followed ?! But

surprisingly, the gate was closed. So I opened it. I'm so nervous, I don't know why. But why is this? I

have a bad feeling? Whose car is outside?

I went into the living room, but no one was there. I also climbed to the top, no one was there!

"Jace?" I called, but nothing really. I went around the house, he was gone! Where is Jace?

I looked back. I don't know but my feet just walk towards it. I got to the back, when I heard voices.

"I'm your girlfriend! Then you went with that woman? Maybe you forgot-"

"Go away! Go away before Hale catches you here!" I heard Jace saying to the woman.

"No! I will not leave until you agree to what I want! Come with me and leave her!" she said, I was

surprised by the woman's kiss Jace.

I was even more hurt when I saw that Jace did not push her. The pain can be seen! What is this? Who

is that woman? What does she say he is Jace's girlfriend? I just stared at it while looking at them as

their lips came together. Gradually they parted lips.

"I miss you babe, I miss you so much. Come with me, let's do that again. I miss your body, everything

about you Babe." But I thought that was the pain I saw. But I was wrong, I was more hurt by what the

woman did next.

He kissed Jace and I saw that she pressed her body closer to Jace's. I can see how their hands travel.

How did that woman touch Jace's private parts but Jace did nothing but dragged the woman closer to

him.

My tears began to flow, which I had been holding back. I could not move from where I was standing. I

do not have the strength to speak at all. Why? How? There's are many questions in my mind. It hurts

so much to see. Is that why I didn't feel good before? Because this is what I see? Why now? The one I

don't see. Atleast it doesn't hurt like this does it?

They parted before Jace breathed again. Only then did I have the strength to run.

"H-HALE?" I heard him call me, but I ignored him. I got out of the house and ran a run. I want to get

away from them. I want to be alone.

I couldn’t help but gasp as I ran. I wiped my tears regularly.

The pain! It hurts!

"Hale! Wait!" I heard Jace call but I kept running, I did not look at him. I want to get away now. I turn

onto the road. Fortunately, there were jeeps parked here so I hid there immediately.

There I cried. No. Cry. I can't handle it. I stopped for a moment when I saw Jace stop and look around.

A few minutes he looked for me there and I saw him kicking in the road.

When he left, it was only then that I released the pain. Very painful! I don't know the truth but it hurts so

much! I saw how they kissed. When else is he hiding it? How did he do that to me? Why? What 'let's do

that AGAIN? The mess of my mind. It's too messy.

So how many times have they had sex? Why? Why did he do this to me? I want to shout but I can't.

Does he love someone else? Besides me, is there another woman in his life? Why did he even promise

me then? Why did he say that he would marry me if he had another crush on her? If he loves someone

else? Is he retaliating? Because of what happened to her Daddy? I don't like that.

I could do nothing but cry next. A few hours later I realize that I need to hear his side. Even pain is

necessary if I know everything. My question needs to be answered.

I stood up and adjusted myself. I walked back to our house. I love him, so I will listen to everything he

has to say. I will believe him.

I was walking towards the house with the car from behind me stopped. I was surprised when two men

came out. I know them!

"J-jani?" They suddenly grabbed me by the arm and forced me into the van. I will not allow myself to go

lightly! How did they know we were here?

But they pulled out a handkerchief and made me smell it. I struggled but gradually lost my breath. My

vision darkened.

EUWARD's POV

Fuck! Stupid!

I threw the glass on the table. It was night but Hale still did not come home. I'm so worried. I didn't even

catch up with him before! I called Sapphire but Hale did not seem to have them.

"ARGH!" I threw the glass on the floor causing it to break.

"Stop ruining yourself Jace, for sure that woman is back to Tito Lucas!" said Cyan.

"What are you doing here?!" I asked angrily and stood up.

"Calm down Babe, I'm here. Why are you still looking for her? I'm here!" he said and kissed me.

I pushed him hard.

"Get out! Leave!" I shouted.

"Why can't you accept? That beautiful woman has returned to Tito Lucas! For sure they are having fun

in bed-"

I suddenly choked him on what he said.

"STOP INSULTING HER!" I shouted.

I immediately removed my hand from his neck. He coughed before leaving the house

Hale ... Please, come back. I was wiped. I do not know where to look for him. What Cyan says is

impossible. I can't believe that she came back to Dad! Yes she is angry but impossible!

"Why can't you accept? That beautiful woman has returned to Tito Lucas! For sure they are having fun

in bed!"

Suddenly my fists clenched, no! I do not believe! She will not return to Dad! I closed my eyes before

punching the table next to me.

"ARGH!" I tossed the broken table.

Where are you? I do not believe you went with Dad. That you return to him.

I called his phone several times but it was out of coverage.

I need to find Hale. Dad might see him, not possible! I need to talk to him and explain to him. I will not

allow him to lose me again. I will not allow him to return to Dad.

I will keep my promise to him. I will marry her. Tomorrow morning, I will report Dad to the police. For

everything to end and Hale and I are getting married. I need to finish everything.

Sorry Dad, but I love her. I will not allow you to be insulted and you will just feed him. You have to pay

for all your sins to him.
