Anton Brotherhood

Chapter 21 Lam Longman I

Chapter 21 Lam Longman I

“Seeing Anton Williams was kind of staring into space, Camille White took his hand and said, “Fool,

what are you looking at? Come in and take a seat!”

Anton blushed, secretly scolded himself that he acted like Zak-Willis-entering-the-city. Anton Williams

sat on the sofa in the atrium and asked, “Dear, where are your sister and your brother?”

Camille, sitting next to Anton, said, “My sister is upstairs, but I don't know what she is doing right there.

My brother is not at home, and it seems that he won't be back very soon! There are quite a lot for him

to handle in the gang recently!”

At that, Anton was kind of disappointed, as he expected that he could meet this awesome man, but it

turned out to be a pity for he was not at home. Anton heaved a sigh and utter an “ah…”. Seeing Anton

like this, Camille was a little unhappy, putting her hand on his arm and said, “Hey, you look

disappointed! I wonder if you are coming to see me or my brother?”

Anton did not notice Camille's facial expression. She said, “Both, but I really want to meet your

brother!” Just as these words were spoken, Anton felt a pain in the arm. As he looked down, it was

Camille White's hand that was “fondling” his arm!

With an forced smile on his face, Anton said to Camille, “Dear, it's completely OK not to meet with your

brother, because I am satisfied as long as I can see you,!”

Hearing this, Camille smiled, “Hum! It is your luck and honor to meet such a beauty like me!” Anton

nodded, figuring to himself that it was right to call her a beauty but it was also true that she was kind of

childish.

Camille turned on the TV and said to Anton Williams, “You watch the TV for a while, and I'll cook the

dishes! After it's finished, I'll make sure you have an endless aftertaste!” Camille delivered Anton a

smile and walked into the kitchen. Anton Williams shivered and muttered in a whisper, “I don't need any

aftertaste and it's OK as long as the dish is human food.”

Camille stood at the kitchen’s door and asked, “Anton, what were you saying?” “Ah. Nothing. I said I

could not wait to taste it!” “Oh! Don't worry, it will be done in a minute, very soon!” “…”

Anton leaned on the sofa, watching the TV. At this moment, Dolores White walked down from the

upstairs, “When did you arrive, Anton?”

Spotting where the voice was from, Anton turned his head around. He was surprised and amazed at

what he saw. Dolores really dolled up, with her face slightly powdered, which made her delicate face

even more lovely. A white dress swung as Dolores walked, making her look like an elegant and

graceful fairy. Anton was in a trance for a moment, and said, “I just arrived, Camille invited me to try her

new dish!”

Dolores smiled and took a glimpse at the kitchen's hurry-scurry Camille, and then she sat by Anton's

side, and whispered in his ear, “Camille's cooking is a disaster. Will you really take it?” Anton Williams

only felt a whiff of orchid aroma was wafting toward him as Dolores whispered to him.

Feeling quite hot, Anton stood up to be a bit more distanced from Dolores White and then nodded. In

fact, Anton did not hear a word clearly of what Dolores had said, as his head was fully occupied by

Dolores's fragrance.

Silence gradually generated a smell of awkwardness in the air. Luckily, Camille came out of the kitchen

with a dish. “Anton! The dish is finished, and let us have lunch together. Hah, my sister, you're here as

well. Let's eat together!” Camille White's voice broke the dullness of the atrium.

Anton took the opportunity to walk into the kitchen and said, “I'll get you bowl and chopsticks.” Looking

at Anton's back, Dolores felt not so happy, and then she stood up and said, “Sister, I help you with the

rice!”

Camille put the dish on the table, looking at the two people, noticing something was going around on

these two's looks.

As the three people sat around the table, Camille smiled and pointed to the dishes on the table and

said, “This is what I learned yesterday, and that is what I learned today, and the one on the left side

is…”

Anton looked at the meals without words. There was absolutely no doubt that those meals looked

definitely not tasting good. They were either dark, ball-like things, or colorful and sticky dumplings.

Seeing the two people were both in hesitation, Camille White looked at them, and said anxiously, “Hey,

take the meals quickly, or they will be cold very soon!”

Dolores frowned and shook her head, putting a piece of food into her mouth, and chewed and then

stopped. Camille asked nervously, “Sister, is it good?” Dolores waited a while, swallowed the dish in

her mouth, squeezed a smile, and said, “Not bad. It's delicious!”

“Hearing this, Camille was triumphant and happy and put a piece of black flake-like food to Anton.

“Taste this, it must be delicious!”

Anton Williams looked at Camille White's hopeful smiling face, and looked at the black unknowns in the

bowl, thinking that whether eating this thing will poison him. Closing his eyes, he put the piece into his

mouth. The first feeling was salty and bitter, and then it became extremely salty and bitter. The second

feeling was that this thing was too hard to bite and chew. Camille smiled and said, “Anton, how about

you?”

“Anton Williams pretended to eat with appetite and said, “Good, great! This beef is really good!”

“Hey! This is my potato chip!” “…” Dolores White burst into laughter.

The next morning, Anton Williams told the family that today they would go on a class journey, and

might not be back at night. At noon, Anton Williams told Carl Ford and several of his men that he would

go to H City at 5 p.m. to see if he could get acquainted with Lam Longman. His followers wanted to go

with him, but he refused, saying that too many people in accompany would arouse suspicion from the

other side.

Everyone saw that Anton Williams had made up his mind. No more questions were raised, and they

accompanied Anton to the passenger center., Along the journey, Carl Ford elaborated the market price

of the white powder and Anton kept it tightly in mind. Arriving at the passenger station, Anton Williams

waved goodbye to his fellow men and got on the bus to H City. Looking at the fading figure of the bus

Jasper Smith asked Carl Ford, “Brother, Will Boss Williams be in danger?”

Carl said, “Yes!” Turning around, Jasper looked at Carl and said loudly, “Then why didn’t we just follow

him?”

Carl answered, “It was justly because there would be a danger that our boss did not let us follow. You

should understand the consideration of our boss.” Heaving a sigh, he continued, “Our boss has

burdened everything on his shoulders, thus creating a smooth course for all of us. We need to take

care of only the life of ourselves, and our boss has to take care of hundreds of lives in our community.

But he can take it. Do you know why? Because his name is Anton Williams! And because of that, you,

I, we are all united in one family—the Anton Brotherhood.”

Everyone was immersed in silence after hearing that and was silently praying for a safe return of their

boss.

H City, not far from the J City. One only had to spend less than two hours to get to one city from the

other. But H City was far more backward than the J City city. The highest building in the county was a

five-story building, which was the county government office building.

The White Horse nightclub was the largest nightclub in H City, with a red two-story building on the

exterior. The facade was spacious, and the interior decoration was luxurious. The past years had

witnessed unceasing car flows parking in front of the nightclub, and most of these cars were special

sedans for county leaders. One thing strange in this country was that the county government applied

for grants every year from the city but the residents in H City remained in poverty and the county

officials turned stinking rich. This was because that part of the applied money was first embezzled by

the city officials and then it was once again accommodated by the county officials when it reached

down the country level. Finally, there was little money left when it was actually spent on local residents.

Anton Williams arrived at H City at four o'clock pm. He bought a novel at the nearby bookstand after

getting off the bus.

Then he took a taxi to the White Horse Nightclub. Look at the façade of the nightclub, one word arose novelbin

in his mind, awesome! Anton got out of the car and went into the nightclub. The dim light in the

nightclub made him feel kind of uncomfortable at first. Anton stood at the door for a while, did not walk

in until his eyes adapted to the light. As soon as he stepped in, a waiter came over, eyeing him from

head to toe, and then said, “Sorry, the minors are not allowed in!”

Anton Williams glared at him, shrugged him away with a stern face, and bypassed him to scan

everyone in the nightclub. The waiter was startled, and at the sight of Anton Williams, he felt that this

person should not be ordinary. When Anton was just about to leave, the waiter saw the book in his

hand and was stunned, and then said, “But I think you must be of age. Sir, please take your seat

inside!”

Anton Williams glanced around to see what he might find out and found an empty table. The waiter

followed by and asked, “Sir, have a drink?”

“A glass of juice.”

“Yes! Sir, please wait a minute and I will get it for you!” The waiter took another look at Anton before

leaving. Soon, the waiter brought the juice over, put it down but didn't go. He stood beside Anton.

Anton picked up the juice and was just about to drink. Noticing that the waiter did not go, he asked,

“What’s the problem?”

The waiter responded, “Sir, are you looking for someone?”

Anton Williams raised his eyebrows, figuring to himself that how did such a guy get that, and was this

guy one of the sidekicks of Lam Longman? Thinking of this, Anton Williams nodded and said, “Yes! I

have an appointment with a friend here!”

The waiter looked around, whispered, “Is your friend ranked the fifth?”

That was beyond Anton's knowledge, but according to the nickname Maw Five, he figured that this guy

might really be ranked the fifth. Then Anton nodded, “Yes, my friend is just ranked the fifth! How do you

know about him?”

A brief surprise flashed across the waiter's eyes and then the waiter nodded, “Sir if your family name is

Williams, come with me!” As soon as he stopped speaking, the waiter turned around and walked

outside. Hearing this, Anton Williams confirmed that this person was definitely the follower of Lam

Longman, if not, then how did this guy know he was Williams? Without hesitation, Anton got up and

followed the waiter.

The waiter led Anton out of the nightclub and headed toward the opposite alley. After a half-hour in it,

Anton felt that he had been senseless of direction and could not even remember how many corners he

had turned. Finally, the waiter led Anton Williams in a giant black door and then stopped. He turned to

Anton Williams and said, “Sir, please get in, someone is waiting for you!”

Anton considered for a while, and then made up his mind to walk into the door to figure out who the hell

Lam Longman was. Then he pulled the door and strode in. Inside there was a thirty square yard with

three rosters in the middle of the yard, with two people sitting on it. Seeing Anton Williams come in and

scanning him up and down for a while, a man with a mustache stood up and asked, “The little brother,

are you Anton Williams?”

Anton Williams looked at the man, who was 30 years old, short, and with bare arms, but strong

muscles. He nodded and said, “Yes, I am Anton Williams!” Then he stared at the man and said, “I want

to see Lam Longman!”

The mustache turned and looked at the man sitting next to him. The man did not speak, and his eyes

had been on Anton since he came in. After a while, the man nodded to the mustache. With a smile on

his face, the mustache came to Anton and took out a black cloth from his pocket and said, “Brother, do

it yourself!”

Anton hesitated, looking at the black cloth in the mustache's hand thinking, “What does he mean by

that?”. Seeing Anton's hesitation, the mustache shook his head, “Holy shit! Are you a real gangster or a

kid? You still need me to teach you this fucking stuff? Well, you have to cover your eyes with this black

cloth!”

Hearing this, Anton understood what he meant, and grabbed the black cloth in his hand, then covered

his eyes with it. The mustache looked at him, confirming that there was nothing wrong with it, and then

grasped Anton Williams's sleeve and said, “Little brother, come with me!”

Anton did not speak along the entire journey. He spoke to himself that Lam was too excessively

cautious that he might lose his balls and no wonder why this Lam was in a sharp decline these years.

Anton Williams could not figure out how long he had gone and what he knew was that he got on a car.

The road was flat at first, and then it gradually became bumpy. After half an hour, the car still didn't

stop. Anton began to feel uncomfortable and uncertain, blaming himself for being too careless and for

not figuring out the situation before getting in the car. But on second thought, he believed that these

guys did not want to kill him because if they did, they could have done it already. Thinking of this, Anton

simply closed his eyes and leaned on the seat to get some sleep. Noticing this, the mustache began

secretly admiring this young man, thinking that young though this little guy was, he was quite fearless.

He invited several persons to meet his boss in this way, and none of them were as calm as Anton

Williams. And all of them was unable to survive.

Anton Williams felt a little sleepy, and then he felt that someone was pushing him, and a voice from the

mustache delivered to his ears, “Hey, little brother, here we are!”

“Fine, “Anton responded and the mustache pulled him off. After a while, Anton felt that he was entering

a house, and then a voice came, “You can take off the black cloth from your eyes!”

Anton slowly pulled the black cloth off his eyes and looked around. It was like a small warehouse,

surrounded by boxes and dilapidated walls. Eight people stood around him, one of which was dragging

six big wolves. Anton Williams's gaze was fixed to a fat man sitting opposite him. That person's body

could be described as “extremely fat”, which seemed more than 300 pounds, Compared with this bulky

fat guy, Jasper Smith was mere a kid. With a pair of big, bright eyes, this fat guy was also staring at

Anton. They looked at each other for a while and both remained silent!”
