The king of the werewolves was the most exalted werewolf in the entire land. All werewolves were

bound to respect and obey all his orders. That was the golden rule in the werewolf realm. The king’s

words are the law of the land and everyone must follow it. It sounded like a simple rule. But it was more

complicated than that. In fact, a werewolf could only give his loyalty to one being – and that was not

towards the king. A werewolf could only be loyal to his alpha. The master of his life. So how did the

king manage to have the authority to reign over the entire realm? Simple. Because the king of the

werewolves was in fact, the alpha of all the alpha. He ruled over the alphas while the alphas, following

his orders, ruled over their subjects.

Since a werewolf could be loyal to his alpha, he could never serve another alpha. Because serving

another alpha was an act of betrayal. And although this thing happened every now and then, it was still

a matter that was greatly abhorred by all werewolves.

I slightly squinted my eyes towards Lia’s brother. He just offered to serve me if I let Lia go. If he meant

his words, that could only be an indication of his disloyalty and he would be treated as a traitor his

entire life.

Alphonse’ aura turned much colder upon hearing my statement. Still, he did not hesitate as he gave me

his answer. “Yes,” he coldly said. “I’m willing to be a traitor and swear an oath of allegiance to you.” “In

exchange, you must let my sister go. And you must swear that you will not cause her any harm in the

future,” he added. “Is that so?” I asked him. “Or are you just making an excuse because you don’t want

to serve someone who is weaker than you,” I bluntly told him. Alphonse was caught off guard with my

question and looked at me incredulously because snapping back to his cold demeanor. 1 “I don’t know

what you are talking about, Alpha Talascar. Alpha Alec Emoresi is one of the most powerful alphas

after the royal family. And if I am correct with my assumption, he is only second to you in terms of

power,” he coldly answered. “What you said is correct,” I directly told him. “But it doesn’t change the

fact that your wolf is more powerful than his,” I added. – “It’s funny that despite training you and

keeping you close to him; he still did not give you any position other than being one of the head

warriors.” Something flickered on Alec’s cold eyes and he kept quiet for a couple of seconds. Then, he

told me, “If what you said is correct, then it is even more beneficial for you if you take me as an

underling.” 1 “Heh,” I smirked. “Indeed, your talent is valuable.”

“A werewolf with a power stronger than most alphas. If you become my subordinate, it would bring me

a lot of benefits.” “But if you think you are enough for me to let go of your sister… you are terribly

mistaken,”I told him. The glint in Alphonse’ eyes sharpened and slowly, the frosty aura around his body

started to surface once again. “What do you mean?” He coldly asked. “My sister can’t afford to be your

plaything. If you don’t let her go, I will run havoc in your pack.” “I will do anything in my power to bring

her out of here. And if you hurt her, I would give up my life to bring you down,” he added. At that

moment, his eyes were not faltering. He was serious about everything that he said. “This punk is

annoying,’ I thought as I observed him. ‘But… it’s good that Lia has this kind of brother,’ the smirk on

my face changed into a small smile. “I see,” I patted his shoulder before turning around. We talked a

lot. It was about time that I returned to Lia. “Wai-” the punk started to say. However, I lifted a hand to

signal him to stop. “I don’t have a lot of things to tell you, because you have to personally figure

everything out,” I told him. “However, just remember this… …your sister is much stronger and greater

than you ever thought she would be.” “And I will be the one staying right beside her,” I told him before I novelbin

started walking back. A few steps later, the huge block of ice finally realized the situation we were in.

“So, Lia’s wolf is strong. And she is indeed your mate,” he stated. Although he got some parts

incorrectly, I did not correct him. After all… what’s the difference? Thus, I merely smirked and started

walking out. After a step, however, I once heard Alphonse speak. Surprisingly, the tone of his voice was

even colder than earlier. “If this is the case, then I can’t do anything about this.” “But please remember,

Alpha Talascar. My word still stands. If you hurt Adel, I will do everything in my power to bring you

down.”
