Awakening Luna: Darkness Holding The Light By Majie Chapter 20

CHAPTER TWENTY

LEWIS

Lia suddenly stood up. Her formerly blushing face immediately turned pale. We were still connected

through the mind link and I could hear the numerous thoughts and the various emotions that she was

feeling. She was caught off-guard and was panicking. I felt a small throbbed in my chest. I stood up

beside Lia before grabbing her hand, “Lia,” I called her name, but her thoughts were too preoccupied to

hear me. At that moment, her emotions were overflowing and made me focus on her feelings instead of

the thoughts that were running through her mind. ‘How come you suddenly feel like this?’ I thought as I

felt the intense anxiousness and helplessness in her heart. ‘What is it that you see for you to always

feel these intense emotions?’ I closed my eyes before trying to ignore her feelings and focusing on her

thoughts. ‘Ahh,’ I opened my eyes immediately as I read her thoughts. ‘So, in your visions, the lady

would be ambushed on her way back to the castle?’ I dangerously narrowed my eyes. “This is indeed a

serious matter,’ I thought. ‘But for you to be affected like this…’ ‘What a kind woman.’ Before I knew it, I

was already patting the top of her head. My action seemed to surprise Lia and effectively brought her

back to reality with me. ‘Will you also look at me with admiration if I manage to help you with this?’ I

thought as I met Lia’s surprised gaze.

‘Hmmm, yes. I wonder,’ I thought. Without thinking much about it anymore, I was already sending a

glance to the overly dramatic prince who was about to walk out. “Your highness, prince Halen,” I called

his name and Halen suddenly froze. “Ah… I know already… Well then… I’ll see you next time,” Halen

spoke without turning around. He was planning on running away right after speaking.

Lia needed his assistance so he could not go like that. So, I moved. In just a split second, I was in front

of Halen, blocking his exit.

Halen’s eyes widened when he saw me and visibly dropped a sweat. “Ta- Alpha Talascar… you can’t

imprison me here especially when my sister is looking for me …” He told me. “But… if you want… I can

always go back here later then… then you can do what you want with me…” he added. The tone of his

voice was incredibly sad, but his eyes were sparkling in interest as if he just saw a good toy. The novelbin

corners of my eyes twitched. If not for Lia, I would not do anything with Halen at that moment. Thus, I

could only threaten him. “Oh? Then I will prepare the best room in my dungeons for you,” I replied.

Halen’s eyes slightly widened upon hearing me. I was serious about it and Halen knew it. So,

he immediately straightened his expression and gave me a serious nod. “Oh, you know I was just

joking. So, what is it, Talascar?” he asked. “Nothing much. I am just inviting the prince for a short

discussion,” I answered before I started to walk back to Lia. “Short… short discussion?” Halen asked.

“But you never initiated a meeting….!” “Don’t tell me that you are serious about imprisoning me?” Halen

asked in a loud voice.

“Lewis…” “Is it really okay if I join your meeting?”

It was a few minutes later. Lia and I were in front of my study room where the prince was already

waiting. In a bit, we would be starting a short discussion with the prince. Lia furrowed her brows, and

she was feeling worried and nervous. I was being impertinent, I knew. After all, I still have not severed

the mental connection between Lia and me. However, hearing her thoughts and knowing her emotions

were very addicting

‘I feel like a barren desert that met his oasis,’I thought as I looked at Lia’s earnest eyes. ‘Later… I have

to do a lot of apologizing, don’t I?’ I secretly sighed. ‘So, let me enjoy this for now,’ I could not stop

myself from reaching over and holding the tips of her hair. “Yes,” I answered her. “I know that you have

a lot of things to tell us,” I added, not hiding the fact that I knew how she needed to talk with Halen.

“Halen may look like this, but he is somewhat reliable,” I told her in order to lessen her worries. “So, if

you have anything to tell him, or if you have something that you need him to do, just tell him straight,” I

directly told her, purposely making Halen hear the things that I was saying. Indirectly, I was threatening

Halen to listen to Lia’s every word. Lia was quick to realize this and with just a blink, her face that was

slightly pale became as red as a tomato.

It was very lovely, especially when she tried to convince herself that I did that for the interest of

everyone and not specially for her.
