My question was met with silence and it was only after a few seconds that Lewis said, “Even though no

one could hear us from the outside, but the others who are also within the barrier could hear us.” “Oh,” I

softly exclaimed before looking at the other trees. Although all that I could see were trees and lush

leaves, I knew that the warriors from Lewis’ pack were with us and were hiding inside those trees.

I nodded in understanding. “I see,” I told him, slightly feeling embarrassed why I did not think of this

before. Matters regarding my visions were top secrets that were only between Lewis, I, and the royal

family. It was better this way because if it was somehow leaked outside, then it would be disastrous.

“Ahem,” suddenly, I heard an old man clearing his throat. “Alpha, please don’t mind us old fogeys. We

don’t dare listen to your conversation with the Luna so you don’t have to be troubled by using mind-link.

was my employer who would protect me from Alec. ‘Lewis is already so kind to me and treats me

gently,’ I thought. ‘His subjects openly teasing him like this… what if he becomes annoyed with me?’

dead silent. My heart skipped from fright. “out of jealousy, of course,” Lewis added in a soft voice.

Suddenly, the dead atmosphere once again became very lively with the warriors cheering and

complaining at the same time. I repeatedly blinked as my mind blanked.

“Alpha, you should not flaunt your love life like that. Some of us haven’t found our mates yet,” I heard

someone whine. ‘Love… love life…’I heard the word and felt jittery inside. And when I heard a low

chuckle beside me, I felt utterly flustered. Fortunately, the group’s teasing did not continue for long as a

few minutes later, a hint of the prince and the princess’ aura and their entourage became conspicuous.

As discussed earlier, the prince and the princess would be travelling back to the castle as originally

planned. Then, Lewis’ warriors would strike the assassins as they start to attack the princess. My heart

started hammering in my chest as I stared nervously at the princess’ approaching car. Truthfully, I was

from the conclusions that I obtained from the reports and rumors I heard in some of my visions. ‘The

report said that the royal warriors scanned the area minutes after the princess’ car passed and they did

not detect any abnormality in the surroundings. Members of the royal warriors have the ability to detect

enemies and assassins. Earlier, Lewis also scanned the forest and did not detect anything. It could only

mean that the assassins will appear the moment the princess

car is at this juncture,’ I thought to myself. ‘Which should be… any seconds now.’ The car quickly

approached the area where we were hidden. Everything appeared to be normal and there was nothing

worthy to note of. That was, until their car arrived a hundred meters from us and suddenly, fifty

werewolves blocked the car. Surprisingly, each of the werewolves looked calm and composed with

amicable and apologetic smiles on their faces, as if they were there to have a discussion with the

princess instead of killing her.
