Chapter 18- So Long In Laws

Sabrina's POV

I had to wait for Aiden.

A word with his father was taking longer than I thought. Hours passing by as I roll around the bed, snooping through drawers for whatever. My mind always taking me back to the conversation with Eleanor.

I knew now that I was not welcome in this house and I needed to get out as soon as possible. It's actually a shame that they don't like me, that they would rather have their son miserable with Jane because they preferred her.

I am the whole package.

Daughter of the first fucken family! I am the moon goddess and I am beautiful.

"What are you thinking about?" Aiden asks as he closes the door of his bedroom.

"That I'm the total package." I say, folding my arms for that added effect. novelbin

Aiden smiles at me as he walks towards me.

"What brought that on? Not saying you are not." He says arms up in surrender.

"Your mother. Your family. Jane." I say before throwing myself on his bed. Aiden sits on the bed next to me.

"I told you, I am not letting you go. You are mine and I have already claimed you." Aiden assures me.

"Your mother promised me that she will fight against our union." I say, Aiden letting out a sigh.

"I'm not welcome here. I think we should go back to my house." I suggest, Aiden raising an eyebrow at me.

"Are we moving in together already?" He jokes but I keep a straight face.

"You just marked me, I need you close to me but I can't stay here. They hate me and I can handle it if I don't have to sleep under their roof and eat their food." I say.

"My dad wants to speak to your dad first." Aiden blurts out.

"Why?" I ask as I sit up.

"Well, he wants to make sure there's no bad blood between the families now that we are bringing them together." Aiden tells me.

"Look, my dad hates your dad but he wants me to he happy and to obey sacred law, he won't do anything to jeopardize this relationship but meeting up with the bestie that betrayed him? I'm not so sure.." I say, standing up and walking to the window to look outside.

"Can you at least try?" Aiden snaps at me. Our eyes meet, I was not expecting him to use that tone with me.

I want to be annoyed with him but this mark, I feel fine. Happy that he is giving me his attention and trying to fix things with my family so we could all come together.

What the...?

"I'll try." I say and he nods his head.

"Can we go now?" I ask turning my whole body to face him.

"Yeah we can go." He says before walking in to his closet to grab some clothes and I follow him inside.

"Grab a tux, we are going back to my brother's coronation." I say.

"Huh?" Aiden says, clearly wasn't expecting me to say that.

"We are going back and we are going to walk in together." I say before walking up to him.

I grab his shirt, pulling him closer to me.

"I will not fuck you in my closet." He says to me, his voice husky, clearly turned on by my action. His voice turned me on but I have to stay strong.

"I want to mark you..." I say.

Aiden reacts quickly, grabbing my ass and lifting me up. I wrap my legs around him as his eyes bore in to my soul. Instead of feeling complete lust, I felt a warmth radiate through me.

Like he connected with the deepest parts of me, scaring me out of my crazy idea.

"Go on then..." Aiden says to me but I shake my head no. He chuckles as he sets me down.

I immediately run out of the closet, feeling shy around him. How did he do that?

The way he looked at me, the way my body reacted to it.

He walks out confidently, unlike me. His face softening at the sight of me.

"Ready?" He asks holding his hand out as the other hand was holding a duffel bag.

"Are we not going to just poof out of here?" I ask and he shakes his head no.

"We will walk out the front door. Come on" Aiden says to me and I take his hand as he leads us out of his room and down the stairs.

His hand tightens as his mother and Jane come in to view. Their hush whispers coming to a quick end as they spot us, holding hands.

"Going back to earth again? Goddess this hobby of yours needs to end. You became the alpha, what more could you want?" Eleanor asks Aiden.

"I know you all know how this works mother. Sabrina is of higher ranking, I move in to her home and since you have made her to feel unwelcome in the home that you raised me in, I won't let her stay here any longer." Aiden says to his mother, who let's out an exaggerated gasp.

Jane's eyes bulge out, looking at Aiden's mother.

"Nonsense! You are not going anywhere with this flopper!" Eleanor says and I look at Aiden confused.

Aiden let's out a ferocious growl. The growl shaking the entire house, forcing Jane to her knees.

"You forget who she is, show some respect! If you can't respect her as my mate then respect her as the moon goddess and descendant of the first family." Aiden says to his mother.

More like his wolf as he was shifting with every word. I quickly rest my head between his shoulder and neck.

"Aiden, I'm fine. Let's just get out of here." I say, rubbing my other hand on his arm. Aiden looks at me, once again his face softening.

"How dare you disrespect your own mother in her house?" Jane asks standing up.

"Stay out of this Jane." Aiden snaps but Jane does not back down.

"You were about to attack your own mother!" Jane shouts out and I let out a growl.

Bitch shouting at my mate? No way. She shifts away from me.

"She called my mate a flopper! You tell me if that's okay." Aiden shouts back.

"Well, isn't she? Three mates down and a child! That's the perfect definition of a flopper! From one alpha to the next and now she's got her claws in you.." Jane says giving me the stank eye.

I chuckle, everyone looking at me as I do so. I mean, I'm almost angry and I can't help but laugh, laugh at the current drama thrown at me.

Well at least it isn't a war where innocent people have to die.

"I honestly don't care what you think of me. You think I'm a flopper? Well boo hoo! Think I've got my claws in Aiden? You bet your ass I do! Now, Aiden?" I say.

We walk past them and to the door.

"What about that moment we shared? I know you felt something Aiden, I know it!" Jane shouts out, making Aiden to stop in his tracks which forced me to stop too.

I turn around to look at Jane.

"Well clearly it didn't mean anything to him because here I am. I have his mark and before long, he will have mine." I say before turning back around and pulling Aiden with me.

We could her Jane sobbing, dramatic to be honest. Had this not been a mate thing, then by all means try to take him but he has a mate, me.

Eleanor on the other hand stood frozen in place. Shook from her son's outrage after insulting me.

"I'm sorry about my mother." Aiden says to me as we walk out the door.

"Yeah it's not okay but I'm fine. When we get home, you better explain to me what Jane was talking about." I say before we disappear off to my home.

Percy's mother loved me. Max's mother liked me eventually and Xander's mother was normal with me, it was his father that was extra.

Once again, I'm hated for being an earthling and the daughter of Kimberly, my mother. I wonder how she survived her teenage years as the hated one because this is exhausting.

I will have to ask her how she handled Eleanor because I know for a fact, I have not seen the last of her.
