Chapter 27- Who's The Man?

Sabrina's POV

"What are we going to do about the rest of that family?" Josey asks as we all sit in my office.

Alcohol still flowing through our veins after that massive party.

I look at Cj, trying to read him. He has lost a mate and if he wants them dead, I shall grant it.

"Cj?" I call him out. He looks up at me, his eyes empty of emotion.

"This is not my kingdom. I can't make that decision." He responds.

"You may not be king here but you are family. As the head of our family, I will ask you this time. What do you want to do with that family?" Hunter asks him. Cj looks around all of us, taking his time.

"Killing them would be the easiest thing to do." Cj says, hands balled up in to fists.

"As I suffer the loss of my mate, so should they." He says and we all nod in understanding.

"I will take away their strength then. I will take away the ability to shift when they please and I will make sure to remind them of their mates every single day." I say. Aiden looks at me, his eyes pleading with me not to go through with this idea.

"And I will take them to earth. Let them live within a pack and be their omega wolves." Anthony jumps in, earning a growl from Aiden.

"Can we also remember that the woman in question is my mother? Does that mean nothing to you Sabrina?" Aiden asks, his eyes holding so much fire but I had to take that fire out.

"Your family went against mine. Knowing what I know now, they deserve a painful death but I'm allowing them to breath still. Any form of punishment is unfair because they chose violence to make us

kneel. They bet on my good heart to get what they wanted and I'm sick of people using my good heart or my family against me. " I say, my hands turning to flame as I talk.

I walk up to Aiden.

"Your family woke up and decided to go against us. I am grateful she gave birth to you but her time is up. As your father's mate and Luka's mother, if I don't do anything right now, then she will come for me." I say.

"How do you know that? Just let her grieve my brother and father in peace." Aiden raises his voice at me.

"I've been merciful before. It did not end well for me and I promised myself, NEVER AGAIN. Our kind will always seek out revenge and I will not give your family another chance to hurt my family. The decision has been made, there is nothing you can do about it." I say to Aiden who turns around, storming his way to the door.

"Oh and Aiden?" I call out. He stops walking but doesn't turn to face me.

"Don't you ever raise your voice at me." I say, which makes him turn around to face me.

I walk up to him, cupping his face with my hands and looking into his eyes.

"I say this with the most love, because I do love you but you can never speak to me like that. Remember my position in this realm before you open your mouth my love because with our predicament and my place in this realm, with my power and the family I come from, you are my bride not the other way around. I am still a god above you first, mate. Now go, say goodbye to what remains of your family and when I see you again, you'll be a better mate because you bit me. You chose to make this official. I am your family now." I say, gently pushing him away as he looks at me in shock.

"Who are you?" He whispers at me.

"That's the woman I fell in love with." Xander answers pointing at me. Aiden doesn't even growl at that, he just looks at me.

"Go on Aiden, go be with your mother." I say.

Aiden pulls me to him, sparks electrifying my entire being as I look in to his eyes.

"We both know who the man is in this relationship." He says as his grip on my waist tightens.

"Then act like one. Go say goodbye to your family and then come back to be the mate that I need." I say. Aiden nods his head and let's me go before walking out of my office.

I turn to face Xander.

"And you.." I say pointing at him.

"No wait, before we get to this guy, can we just talk about the way you just handled Aiden?" Josey jumps in front of me.

"Yeah, that was badass." Xander says with a big toothy grin.

"I don't know. You just challenged his wolf and not in the bedroom sense." Anthony says to me.

"Good! I need his wolf more than his human side right now. His wolf will pick me over anyone on earth, even if we have children, I will always be his first because that's how it works. The man must love the woman and the woman must love the children. I want to bring out his wolf because his wolf loves me above all, whether I am right or wrong." I say.

"I mean, I get it. You're the all powerful now but damn, calling him your bride? Pains." Josey jokes and I just roll my eyes.

"There is nothing wrong with what Sabrina said. She holds the title of the moon goddess now and he is just her mate. The only wolf above her is me and soon it will be Anthony so she had every right to say it." Hunter jumps in to the conversation.

"I mean, she could've said all of this in private." My mother says.

"But it would not have had the same effect it had right now. What I said to him needed to be said so he can get out of his head and do what he needs to." I say and my mother raises her arms in surrender.

"Good. Now, Cj, I can go see Arianna. Is there anything you'd like me to say or ask?" I tell him.

"Ask her if she saw it coming. I think she did because she spent a few days with her family and then the day before, asked me to stop being king for the day and just be her mate. I had a feeling, she told me a day would come where I would lose her but I didn't think it would be this soon. A day is not enough to say goodbye." He says before falling to his knees.

Josey catches him, helping him up and on the couch.

"I will ask her. I will also tell her that you love her and we all miss her very much." I say before walking to my third door and opening it. novelbin

I take one last look at Cj before walking in and closing the door.

Arianna was a good girl. She did not deserve such a fate but if it is written in her cards that she lives a short life, I won't have the power to change it but I will try.
