“I reject you as my mate.” Lilac said clearly. Her voice rang inside the main hall, followed by a loud gasp from people around them. She stared at Aiden when she felt the snap of the mate bond between them.

The pain was staggering, as she fell to her knees and breathed heavily, while Aiden took a step back. clutching his chest, as she felt the same pain that Lilac tried to endure right now.

“No..” Aiden muttered the word in disbelieve when he watched Lilac’s face contorted in pain. He didn’t mean to push her this far, he didn’t mean for her to reject him. He only wanted to scare her, so she would know she had nowhere to go.
