Kirk gripped the steering wheel. “I hope so.”

Just then, a car drove past them. However, both of them were lost in their thoughts. So they didn’t
notice it.
In the car, Gwen asked in confusion, “Carol, why are you leaving in such a hurry? Didn’t we say we’ll go sightseeing for two days?”
Caroline tightly gripped the hem of her clothes.
“I’m sorry, Gwen. Something came up on Dr. Caldwell’s end, and he asked me to come over,
