Chapter 28: Fishy Queen

It was a complete struggle since Cadence and I were the only ones rowing, and it didn't help that the

canoe was really big.

Posh turned towards me as he pulled out a large bright blue fan that included some purple flower

designs on it, opening and fanning himself with it as I looked at him blankly. "You look really hot today

Mickey." He complimented as he looked pass Benny to look at me.

Um what? Mickey? Mickey Mouse?

I slightly tilted my head in confusion, trying to process the name he just called me. "T-thanks, it's

Micah." I replied, making him turn back around as I couldn't bare the fact that Cadence and I were

really the only ones doing anything.

Posh noticed this also, making him speak out. "From the very deepest part of my heart, I would help

row, but I just did my acrylics and they're stilettos this time." He fluttered his incredibly sharp light blue

nails into the air as I sighed. "Milan, you have no nails and no excuse not to help, so help! Also Benny,

not to be racially insensitive to your history or whatever, but you should help out in rowing the boat

also." He shrugged.

Benny slowly moved his head back as he was shocked for Posh to talk to him like that. "Bitch the only

thing insensitive is your eyesight because you clearly can't see how wack those nails look. It's giving

very much twigs you picked off the forest. I'll row the boat if I want to, but I don't. If you're ass can sit

still look pretty and do nothing just because of your slender man nails, then I think I can choose not to

do anything also. Please don't ever tell me what to do again, I will deadass push you over the boat and

those nails won't be the only thing that will get ruined, please don't try me." He snapped, making me

slightly nervous as I couldn't control my mouth from dropping.

Posh didn't bother looking back at Benny as his high pitched voice began to reply. "I find sitting still

looking pretty and admiring my expensive nail acrylics that apparently look like "twigs" is better than

doing nothing, but I get what you mean, I guess."

Benny imitated Posh as he rolled his eyes back. That went smoother than I thought it would. I was

scared that they would fight and make this canoe tip over or something.

Posh pat Milan on the shoulder. "Here's Cadence's paddle, he's on break." Milan's mouth rapidly novelbin

widened. "Cadence, I want you to take a cute picture of me, make sure to get the flower in my ear."

Posh turned around, beginning to pose as Benny and I watched from Cadence's phone screen.

I stopped rowing since I noticed the canoe began to move on it's own, giving me a chance to look

around at my gorgeous surroundings.

I watched as the tall evergreen trees glistened from a distance as the gorgeous sun defined all of them.

Taking a deep breath also helped me realize how crystal clear and crisp the air is out here instead of

my city.

Milan began to talk. "Oh my gosh, you guys look! There's so many little fishies under the boat!" He

quickly moved his head out front to look, catching all of our attentions except Benny.

Benny remained frozen still as he squeaked to himself, making me talk to him about his sudden

stiffness. "Benny, look at how much salmon is swimming under our boat right now!" I grinned, trying to

move him so he can see.

Benny shook his head. "Nope, nopety nope, hell no." He quietly cried making my mouth drop in

amusement.

"Is that why you didn't wanna come at first?" I raised an eyebrow at him, grinning behind him as I

couldn't believe Benny's biggest fear is something so simple. "Are you scared of fish?"

"Shut up, I'm not looking down there." He tightly closed his eyes as everyone else looked down at the

fish in excitement.

I laughed to myself as everything all of a sudden became quiet.

The amount of fish that began to pass the boat was immense. There was an army of them and I

couldn't believe my eyes.

All of us just awkwardly looked at each other as our boat began to move in a faster pace.

Faster..

Faster...

Okay now it's a little too fast..

Posh rapidly yelped out, breaking the silence. "Um, I think the boat is supes going off course!"

My eyes widened as strong currents of water carried us away from where we were supposed to go.

Fuck.

Benny quickly stood up, gently rocking the boat which made Milan and Posh's screams echo even

around the forest far away from us.

Benny's loud voice quickly captured our attention. "Okay listen, I'm not dying like this and have salmon

eat me alive! Everyone better pick up a damn paddle and row our asses outta here!" Posh quickly

winced at him as everyone began to get to work except for him.

"Um, but like, salmon won't eat you, they're not piranhas, they're completely harmless." Posh calmly

explained, remaining seated as Benny immediately towered over him with his hands up in the air.

Benny rapidly replied as he picked up the paddle with both hands. "Potato tomato, all fish are the

same! Now forget about your nails and row bitch!" Posh's eyes widened as he picked up the paddle

that Benny dropped on his nimble frame.

All of us worked hard to row, but it didn't matter. It seemed to not even work since the water underneath

us only progressively got stronger.

I remained quiet since I was actually dying in the inside from being so terrified, the lake was endless

and the boat was just continuing to get carried. Also, none of us had the chance to jump out and just

swim to the shore because the currents would've probably just ate us up and drowned us.

Well fuckity fuck, my fucking life is fucked, fuck.

"G-guys.." Posh's face was drowned in fear as he gulped, staring out front.

I sharply breathed in as we watched the intense rapids our boat was about to enter. The rapids were

organized in levels, signaling that it was going to be an insanely bumpy water ride.

"Oh my god, we're going to die." Benny turned towards me. "How are you remaining so damn quiet!"

"I-I d-don't know what to say!" I anxiously spoke out, my eyes watching the boat go faster.

"Well, thank god I brought this." Cadence deeply chuckled as he pulled out a lighter, immediately

flicking the fire towards a blunt that he had inside his pocket.

Milan began to panic as his face was extremely red. "Cadence are you really lighting up a blunt right

now? What is wrong with you!" Cadence quickly threw him a dirty look as he proceeded to smoke.

All of a sudden, chaos and panic ensued on the boat as everything quickly fell apart.

"Fuck you, let me smoke!"

"Can I switch to the back so I die last?"

"Hoe I'll make you die now if you don't shut up!"

"I didn't even get to date Logan again!"

"All of you shut up!"

Just before anyone could've spoken again, the boat had already begun to rapidly flow through the

rapids, making us let out screams of fear and frustrations.

The boat swung rapidly against the waters with so much force, causing some water to go inside the

boat, splashing it on all of us. "Thank god I used setting spray for my makeup today! Jokes on you

Mother Nature!" Posh dramatically posed as more water splashed onto the boat.

Milan looked absolutely devastated as he cried out loud, holding on for his dear life. "If I wanted to go

on a water ride I would've gone to Six Flags!" He whined loudly. "My gucci flip flops are so soaked!"

Cadence laughed as he shook his head side to side. "Am I the only one not that bothered by this!?" His

voice raising in volume as the boat only went deeper into a ditch of forceful rapids.

"We're dead y'all!" Benny exclaimed, pointing out at the small water fall that was without a doubt going

to flip the boat over. "This is it!"

"Oh my god we're going to die!" Milan quickly looked back. "You know what!? Before we die I have a lot

of confessions to make!" We all looked at Milan as the boat continued to move closer to the water fall.

"I can't believe the last thing I'm going to hear before I die is your supes irritating voice!" Posh's face

crinkled in disgust as Milan continued to speak.

"Posh, I never really liked you because you're such a rotten little bitch! I only use you for exposure!"

Milan confessed, making all our mouths drop as he continued to speak. "I only wanted to go back with

Logan to ruin you! Cadence, I actually have the biggest crush on you but I never made it obvious

because smoking is gross! Benny I don't really know you, but Micah! I was the one writing the notes so

you can stay away from Logan! I was going to confront you at the bonfire but I couldn't!"

Just before anyone could've responded to him, the boat had already went over the small water fall,

flipping us all off as our bodies were forcefully submerged into the cold water.

I couldn't process anything that was going on as my body sunk deeper into the water, sharp jets of

water engulfing my entire body as I began to suffocate.

Oh my god, I actually think I'm going to die right now!

I couldn't even have final goodbyes!

I didn't even get to see my mom one last time!

I flailed my hands around the freezing water as I choked, my mouth letting out large bubbles as my

eyes slowly closed.

All of a sudden, everything in my body, including my eyes faded to black.
