Alyssa was still shaking her head in disbelief. If only she had seen through Skylar's mask a little earlier, she would've found a way to prevent all of this from happening.

Just as she stepped out of the restaurant Alyssa received a call from Hazel.

"Come over quickly! The red car across the road.” Hazel said quickly and then hung up the phone.

Alyssa looked up and saw the red car across the road. As she looked at the direction of the car, it horned twice.

Knowing that her friend was in a rush, she immediately walked to the other side of the road and into the vehicle. Alyssa turned to the woman beside her. "I didn't expect to see you here."

"You don't expect a lot of things.” Hazel stepped on the accelerator. “How was it? Was it successful?”

Hazel had a short movie that was low-key but popular. She could be recognized by anyone. That’s why she waited for her outside.

Alyssa smiled and said. “Very well.”

Skylar had oppressed her for too many years and disregarded her, but she hadn't lifted a finger to fight back. It's only natural for everyone to underestimate how smart she was. So it was to no surprise that Skylar had managed to let down her guard.

Nobody would've expected it was a trap that was set up by their ugly and dull family member whom they always looked down upon.

“But the plan may be changed.”

“What do you mean?”

"She wants me to divorce Emmett and infuriate Lawrences. It will be enough to turn the public's eye on me. An insult like this is far greater than what Skylar has done, so it would definitely take the attention off her now and put it all on me. That way, she'll be able to date Henry in peace without angering anyone in their social circle."

Hazel furiously hit the steering wheel when she heard it. “How can she be so shameless? Haven't she done enough to you already? Does she have a bottom line!”

“There is no bottom line as long as it is beneficial to her.” Alyssa knew Skylar very well so she wasn’t as furious as Hazel.

She had originally planned to let the reporters post the video of her and Skylar tomorrow morning.

However, after everything that had happened, it seemed that she had to take another step forward.

After all, a renowned family like Lawrence family would not allow their own successor to be the subject of scrutiny and discussion on the Internet. Although Emmett was a cripple, that still didn't erase that he was the heir to the Lawrence fortune, and he still held great importance to the city. None of them would dare to piss them off, especially if they valued their lives.

While the former looked domineering and despicable, the latter looked meek and afraid. Thereafter, people started to apologize to Alyssa all over the internet. There were still a few who had ignored the video's contents and continued to insult her, but they were easily ignored by the majority.

In just a few hours, Alyssa’s social media fans grew about fifty thousand.

Skylar had no idea what was happening. After successfully threatening Alyssa, she had gone out with Henry that night and stayed over at his house.

That was, until she received a call from Jason the next day.

Skylar was in Henry’s arms and picked up the phone irritably, "Dad, what is it? Why did you call me this early in the morning?"

"Go online and see how big of a mess you've caused! You even dared to spend the night outside. Come back immediately!" Jason shouted at her following by a loud crash could be heard from the other end of the line.

Her expression changed immediately and she gritted her teeth. “These bitches!”

Immediately putting away her phone, Skylar shook her head and said softly. "Dad called me. Something happened at home, so I'll be going out first, okay?"

On the way back, she couldn't help but think about that time in the restaurant. Although Alyssa still appeared weak and spineless, there was something about her that seemed different. It should have something to do with her. Otherwise, why would the reporter be in such a dingy restaurant in the first place?

Was she deliberately making things difficult for her?

Skylar's face turned gloomy. She dialed Alyssa's number, but no one picked up.

Muting her phone in her pockets, Alyssa picked up the glass and was about to head up the stairs. But unfortunately, Justin was just standing at the stairs.

Justin seemed to have in the mood to play with her. When she moved to the right, he had also moved to the right. When she tried moving to the left, he did the same thing. It was like the man was automated to go against her every move!

Alyssa was originally in a good mood but in a flash, he ruined everything. She looked upstairs and then softly said to ‘Justin’, “What do you want?”

“Do you know, you Moore family quarrels now affected our Lawrence family?” ‘Justin’ leaned against the wall. A faint smile threaded across his lips, but his eyes held a sense of seriousness as well.

“Oh.” Alyssa lowered her eyes and answered without emotions. Then she crossed over him and proceeded upstairs.

In fact, many men would've cowered at his glare, but Alyssa not only walked away from him, but she also remained impassive. As if she had already dealt with him before.

Alyssa turned and left as soon as she finished talking. Emmett looked at her back and pondered deeply. Had this woman stopped pretending to be dumb?

Returning to her bedroom, Alyssa exhaled as different thoughts rushed into her mind. In fact, she wasn’t as calm as when she was facing ‘Justin.’

She was right before. The Lawrence family had suppressed the news about Emmett. Ever since it had started trending, the posts were removed and the others had their accounts shut down.

A part of her couldn't help but think of Emmett. Even at this point, she still couldn't tell what they were thinking–if they were satisfied or upset by the outcome.

Alyssa took out the phone and saw a ton of missed calls. Apart from Skylar’s call, the rest were from the Moore family.

Alyssa smirked and dialed Aurora’s number.

As expected, as soon as the call was connected, Aurora immediately said, “Come back immediately.”

"I am coming." Alyssa tried her best to make her voice sound uneasy and worried.

She certainly wanted to go back to the Moore family to see their reactions.

To go and watch Skylar losing her mind and throw her tantrums.

But one thing she was sure that, although she had succeeded now, the Moore family wouldn't admit defeat that easily, especially Skylar.
