Chasing Back My Ex-wife

Chapter 16

Chapter 16

Arthur had never known how it felt like to be despised by someone. His patience was already worn thin. "Lucy, must you be so difficult?"

"Yes, I've always liked to act difficult, especially towards people I don't like." She emphasized the last four words.

Her words pushed Arthur to his limit. He stepped forward and put her over his shoulder. "You flirted with me first, so you can only belong to me in this life!"

She had loved him so much befoe that she wanted nothing more than to be with him 24 hours a day. How could she have suddenly lost feelings?

He would not allow her to not like him!

"Arthur, you psycho, put me down!" Blood rushed to her head, making Lucy shout with her cheeks flushed. novelbin

One of the onlookers bucked up some courage and tried to advise Arthur. "Young man, talk it out if there's anything wrong. Don't..."

He couldn't finish his sentence because of Arthur's intimidating temperament.

Carrying Lucy, Arthur shoved her into the car and said, "If you don't want to eat, then starve!"

"Arthur, you're kidnapping me. I'm going to call the police!" Lucy sat far away from him and yelled as she leaned against the car door.

"If you want the Figueroas' business to go bankrupt, then go ahead and call the police." Arthur trapped her between his arms as he braced them against the door and laughed coldly. "I can recommend you a police station, do you want that?"

They were inches away from each other and their breaths intertwined. They were in a very romantic position, but the atmosphere was tense.

They were inches away from each other and their breaths intertwined. They were in a very romantic position, but the atmosphere was tense.

Lucy bit her lips tightly and stared at him for a long time before turning away. She said stiffly, "I want to go to work at my office."

"Resign and join my company as the CEO's secretary," Arthur turned her face to him with his hand on her chin and commanded.

He missed her. He missed her even if they were only separated for one second. He wished he could put her in his pocket and bring her wherever he went!

His usual commanding tone stirred up some bad memories for Lucy, and she clenched her fists while saying furiously, "That. Won't. Happen!"

"It's just a small company. Is it worth you caring so much?" Arthur really couldn't understand why she was so determined. Her position as chairwoman of her small company was far less prestigious than being the CEO's secretary at his company.

Buzz—

Buzz—

His phone vibrated.

He picked up the call.

...

"Arthur, I'll make something delicious and bring it to you at noon. Don't order takeout." Lizbeth's eyes shone with affection as she blushed.

They hadn't seen each other in a day, and she missed Arthur very much. Did he miss her too?

"There's no need." Arthur's voice was as cold as ever, but it still sounded exceptionally pleasant.

Just as Lizbeth was about to say something, a woman's angry voice suddenly came from the speakers. "Arthur, I said, I want to go to work at my office!"

Lizbeth gripped her phone hard and her face paled at once. "Arthur, who are you..."

Before she could say "with", all she heard was a busy line. He had hung up on her!

"Impossible, how is this possible? She's dead, They even held a funeral for her. How could it possibly be her?" Lizbeth murmured as she felt more and more uneasy.

She had heard that woman's voice so many times that she couldn't have been mistaken... She had to go and have a look for herself immediately!

Knock, knock, knock!

Someone knocked on the door and walked in.

"Lizbeth, are you ready to go?" The man had a mole under his eye, and when he raised his eyebrows, he looked charming.

Lizbeth picked up her handbag without sparing him a glance. "Jenson, I'm busy this morning. Look for someone else to accompany you to the car showroom. Bye!"
