Chapter 1 Life or Death

The rain is pouring down, as if a gray curtain has been thrown over the entire city. People gasp as they walk through the streets.

In the empty and depressed clearing, parks a black commercial vehicle. A short distance in front of the car, a cool and graceful woman stands there holding an umbrella, and opposite to her stands a young girl.

The girl is not holding an umbrella. She just stands in the rain with her head up, staring at the woman.

"Nino, figure it out for yourself. Do you want this bastard to live or die?"

Her voice is cold, as if it comes from an ice cellar, without any warmth.

"Mom, this child is also of the Jing family's blood. You can't do that to him!" Nino is still trying to convince the woman in front of her.

Chaney is gone.

In the heavy rain, Nino lies on the ground, unconscious. She struggles to get the phone from her pocket.

"Save...save me, Yanntie, save my child..."

Four years later, in the Dion Decor International, City A,

"Finally, I can get off work."

Nino hammers her sore shoulders and begins clearing her desk for the end of the day.

"Nino, why are you in such a hurry to get off work? Are you going to see your son?" Sheehan asks. She's Nino's colleague.

"Yes!" Nino smiles, her face glowing with happiness that she can't hide, "I'll go first! Bye."

She waves her hand and hurries off from work, heading to the hospital.

"It seems that Yannis' condition has stabilized quite a bit lately." Sheehan looks at Nino's back and sighs happily.

"How do you know?" Mungan asks curiously. She is also Nino's colleague.

"Well! It depends on her mood. Her face is a barometer of Yannis' condition, and it's written on her face whether Yannis is well or not!"

"That's true." Mungan nods approvingly, "Nino's under quite a bit of stress. Not only is she a single mom, but her son has leukemia! Her son is a very sweet boy! She pushes open the door to the ward, but it is empty. Her son is not in the ward.

Nino is in a hurry. She goes out and grabs a nurse who happens to pass by her door and asks, "Nurse, where's my son? Have you seen my son?"
