Chapter 3 The Crazy Woman

As soon as Nino comes out from the Director’s office, Sheehan places her phone in front of her, "Nino, your phone has gone off 10 times now, quickly go and see if someone has something urgent to tell you."

"Was it the hospital that called?" Nino doesn’t even have time to put down her drawings, and hurries to see the phone.

"No, relax. If it was the hospital then I would have answered the phone for you at the first time."

Nino opens her phone to have a look, she sighs with relief, it turns out it is just her younger sister’s good friend Meeya who was calling.

She immediately calls her back, Meeya very quickly answers the phone, "Nino, I have terrible news!"

"What’s wrong? What happened?"

"It’s Shaira, Shaira she… jumped off a building and tried to kill herself!!"

"Forget it then, which hospital are you at, I will come immediately."

"Farren Hospital."

"Ok, I will ask for the day off, give me some time and I’ll call you back."

Nino hastily hangs up the phone and goes to her leader to ask for the rest of the day off work.

"Doctor Jing? Could he be the doctor that day those nurses were discussing, that even his so called voice is able to make women pregnant?"

"I think she really is crazy, what kind of brain surgery does she want, she should be going directly to the psychiatric department!" Nino is so angry that she is trembling from head to toe, "is there really a person who loves someone so much? That they will go to the extent of taking their own life as a joke! Who does she think she is? Does she even know who gave her this life? Isn’t doing this letting down not only her mother, but also everyone who cares about her? So childish!"

As soon as Nino enters the patient’s room, she throws her bag on the bedside table angrily, and then stares at the red eyed Shaira who is covered with bandages on the bed.

Shaira looks at the angry Nino with red eyes, her whole face is full of grievance and pitifulness, "I’m in pain..."

"You deserve it!!"

Nino furiously sits down on the chair next to her bed.

Seeing the heartless and cruel look of her sister, Shaira’s aggrieving tears begin to burst out of her eyes, "Sister, please don’t be angry, from now on I will never do this again."

"If you dare to do this again, then see if I would show any mercy on you next time!!"

Shaira acts coquettishly towards her sister and begs for mercy, "Sis, I promise I will never do this again."

"If there is a next time, then the one who jumps of a building will be me!" Nino says this while standing up to pour a glass of water, "Ok, tell me about this so called doctor, what’s he like? Is he reliable? What exactly kind of charm does he have that is able to make you do such a reckless thing?"

"Sis, you’re asking me so many questions all at once, how can answer them all! He is the doctor in charge of me. Stay a while and he will come check the room so you can meet him yourself! However, just take a look at him, do not fall for him, he is mine!" Shaira jokingly says.

Nino can’t help but laugh, "Ok enough, I definitely will never become such a love struck fool like you! I’ll stay until he arrives and then ask him many questions: in the eyes of such a great doctor like him, isn’t it serious enough that a girl risks her life just to beg for his attention!"

She says this while raising the kettle with her hand, "There’s no water inside, I’ll go fill it up and then come back."

Nino carries the kettle out of the ward.

She turns right as she leaves the room, and walks along the corridor to where she can get boiled water.

Without thinking about it she raises her head, and sees the back of a tall figure of someone she hasn’t encountered for a long time, he is wearing a long clean white coat, with both hands casually in his pockets, slowly and carelessly walking forward, however she does not have enough time to see the figure clearly, as the figure quickly disappears at the end of the corridor.
