Chapter 9

Devak's POV

"Why are you calling me like that? you don't even let me talk with Sav" Tanea complained and tried to

free her hands from my grasp.

"Why were you so busy with others other than me? Woman, do you remember you also have a mate?"

I frowned.

She raised her left eyebrow "oh, so you mean just because you are my mate I should stick to you like a

baby monkey?"

"Right," I nodded.

Her eyes widened "you ...you…. So…."

"I know I am handsome. What's there to remind them?" I said teasing her.

"Devak Lang, what do you think of yourself?" Suddenly she yelled. Her face became red because of

anger. Her lush cheeks tainted with redness and gosh, she is looking so hot right now. I felt my body

suddenly harden with the thought.

"Your mate" I raised my eyebrows.

"You despicable pervert. Do you always think of that thing" Tanea glared at me.

"You know me so well" I smirked before advancing towards her. She was already angry because I had

separated her from Sav. I never knew what these two women always talk about but whenever they are

closer they will whisper to each other so secretly and when I ask they would kick me out of their

conversation.

"You ….. don't you dare think of that" she warned stepping back.

"Why are you moving back darling? As your mate I have all rights on you" my smirk became wide as I

stood closer to her.

"You step back" but before she could move away I grabbed her wrist and pulled her towards me. Her

front collided with my hard chest and she gasped.

"You pervert let me go," she struggled. I wrapped my arms around her slim waist caging her.

"You are resisting? But deep down you love it don't you" I smirked.

~Fuck, her wolf is purring with delight. I can sense it~ Gian, my wolf groaned inside.

Tanea's eyes widened when she sensed her wolf. She closed her eyes while shaking her head.

Looking at her flushed face, it just turned me on more. God, I can look at her all day.

"Devak, you are behaving like a perverted wolf now" Tanea said, pouting her lips.

I laughed, throwing my head back before kissing her red cheeks " baby, I am already a perverted wolf" I

was about to kiss her when the commotion outside stopped my action.

"What's happening?" I frowned.

"We should check it first," Tanea said, looking towards the door.

I nodded "let's go" I grabbed her hand and we walked out of the resting room.

"What's happening around?" I asked when I saw a few of the pack members running here and there

with anxious expressions.

"Dev" Jion, the head trainer of the pack, walked towards me.

"Jion what's happening around?" I asked him. Jion and I are in same age. We are best buddy in the

pack.

"I just arrived and heard some news"

"What news?" I frowned.

"It's something…..but we don't have a choice" his words puzzled me. What is he talking about?

"What? Are you going to tell me or not?"

"When I arrived the pack members said they heard a roar from the forest. The members thought it

could be some wild beast hanging around. So they went to check inside the forest"

"So….?"

"The one who led the team was Savannah and she has not returned yet. The other members who went

along with her searched for but couldn't find her in the forest"

"What?" My eyes were almost out of socket.

"Why did she lead the team there? That girl" I clenched my fist. "What the hell were they doing at that

time to let her do such things. She is not aware of every part of the forest. What if something

happens?" I shouted at my top lung. novelbin

The members who gathered in the field lowered their heads.

"Young Alpha, we urged her to stay here and let us go and check but she put up the authority and

threatened us" a few men standing at the side replied.

"You should have informed me about it instead of obeying her words. Do you know how dangerous it

is?" I glared at him.

"Young Alpha, we said that but Miss didn't agree. She said this are trivial matters so there's no need for

us to inform you"

I closed my eyes with frustration. What am I going to do now? Mom will kill me with her bare hands.

She said it strictly to take care of my sister. If she knows she will be too upset and along with her dad

will be mad at me. I closed my eyes and shook my head. I really felt like plucking all the hair from my

head. I felt Tanea hold my arm with her free hand.

"Don't worry. Nothing will happen to her. Besides, it's not your fault either. Instead of talking it will be

better if we search for her. Maybe she lost her way somehow. We should not waste more time standing

here"

I nodded. Right. It will be better to search for her than wasting time in talking and thinking about other

things. I need to find her before something bad really happens. Though I know she is not weak or

someone who will give up easily but as her brother my heart still feels anxiety and I am damn worried

about her.

"Keep everyone alert here and arrange 4 groups to hunt down the whole forest. We need to find her no

matter what" I ordered and Jion, who was standing at the side nodded immediately.

"Bring me along" Tanea said.

"No, the forest is not too safe" I shake my head.

"Devak Lang, do you want me to die with anxiety here?" She glared "we both were distracted and it

wouldn't have happened if we stayed alert"

I rolled my eyes "who could have known that something like this will happen. That girl is crazy and

stubborn too. Do you think I can control her?" I argued.

Tanea rolled her eyes "shut up and let's go" she said and dragged me with her.

Savannah's POV

Blurry...

Blurry…

I can't see clearly. Where am I? This place is filled with darkness and there's a mild scent floating in the

air. It was sweet and soothing. But I don't think I am in the forest because this kind of scent was not

there. I rubbed my eyes trying to remove the blurriness. I remembered I saw Blue Tiger but suddenly

someone covered my mouth and then I smelled a strange scent then…..

Oh shit……

Am I kidnapped?

My body jerked up suddenly. The softness under me made me frown. Where am I? What kind of place

is this? I looked down and brushed my hand over the surface where I am sitting. It's furry and too soft

when my fingers brush over it.

It's a bed? Creasing my eyebrows I looked around again. This place is still dark and I couldn't see it

clearly. Who brought me here? The kidnapper? But why would anyone kidnap me unless they are

courting death for themselves. There's no one who does not know my identity.

Is it Avan? But does he have the gut to do this? I really don't think so. Though he is a bastard , his

father won't allow him to have such thinking at all. That person loves his pack too dearly. I shake my

head. Right now I can't think of any reason for me being kidnapped like this.

The sound of the door opening had me turn my head and look to the side where I could finally see

some light. The door half opened and a small figure stepped in. The figure moved its body and

suddenly the whole room brightened up with lights which once again blurred my vision. I covered my

eyes with my arms.

"Oh….my bad, I am so sorry miss, I don't know you are already awake. I should not have turned the

light on like this" a girly voice said with gasp.

I removed my arm and looked forward. There was a girl literally younger than me standing in maids

uniform. Her black frock with white lace is giving a kind of another charm. And I must say the girl is

really beautiful. Her hair was made in two bun with a white lace ribbon.

"Who are you?" I asked as I slightly frowned.

The girl fleshed a warm smile as she walked forward in a proper manner. I wonder what kind of

discipline she learnt.

"Miss, I am Luina and I am your maid. Please accept my respect" she said then bowed to me.

I was stunned. I never saw her before in my life and how come she became my maid so suddenly. I

looked around the room. It was luxurious. All the furniture in the room is in black shade but the colour is

vibrant and it looks unique. There was a huge mirror attached on black painted wall and there was a

crystal chandelier hanging above my head. I was in a forest. How come I ended up in such a place? I

shifted my gaze towards the girl named Luina again. She didn't raise her head yet still standing in a

bowing position.

"Luina please stand" I said and only then she straightened herself and flashed a smile.

"Miss, are you hungry? Do you want me to bring something to eat?"

I waved my hand "no need. You know me?"

"I know you since you arrived here miss"

What a straight answer!

"How did I arrive here?" I asked her.

"Master brought you here miss and he will see you once you are awake" Luina replied.

Master? Who is that now? I felt my frustrations rising inside of me.

"And who is your master?" I forced a tight smile as I asked her again.

"He is ……. Oh Master" Luina suddenly bowed.

I frowned at her action and was about to say something when I saw a tall figure show up on the door.

My eyes fixed on the figure and my eyes widened.

He is so…… hot.

Tall, mascular, handsome and that black fur cloak made him look even more good. The air in my lungs

stuck in there refusing to come out and I suddenly started to feel suffocated. His eyes trailed towards

me as a smirk playing on his kissable lips. My heartbeat became faster with each step and a sudden

smell of Patchouli hit my nostrils. It was earthy, woody, sweet and musky. Such a strong and spicy

scent is really intoxicating.

~Aww….. my….~Red purred happily.

"Leave" that one word snapped me out of my trance. I saw Luina bow and left the room.

He slowly strode towards me and smiled "had a good sleep?" He asked with his husky tone.

I gulped down the saliva forming in my mouth. Calming down my racing heart I looked at his eyes.

"You….you brought me here?"

He smirked "isn't it obvious love?"

My eyes widened. So straight. I have never met anyone like him. And love?

"You …" I pointed my index finger as I glared at him. Fuck with his masculinity. How dare he kidnap

me?

"How dare you kidnap me?"

"Oh, I dare everything. It's not a sin to take what's mine anyway" he replied like it's nothing but an

everyday talk. This man. What the hell does he think of himself?

In a minute I stand up on bed still pointing my finger at him "who do you think you are?"

He looked at my finger which was pointing at him then smirked. Without a word he grabbed my finger

and pulled me to him. My front hit his hard chest.

"Ouch" I winced. What is he? A rock or something?

"You really want to know who I am?" He looked down at me. His eyes glowing with amusement.

"Do you think I will be scared of your identity?" I hissed at him. It didn't make him angry yet his smirk

became wider. His Patchouli scent filled my nose as it spread in my nerves. God, being close to him is

blurring my head.

"Since you want to know it….then…" he leaned down and whispered in my ear. The next words of him

shocked the hell out of me.

"Welcome home Mate"

Mate?

How come a toxic person like him becomes my mate?

How could it be possible anyway?
