Standing in front of the mirror, Jessica stared at Lucian who looked mysterious and aloof against the
chandelier.
He also got a cold grey belt around his waist and it actually looked...
Jessica nearly got chocked again…
Was she insane?
“I got to take a shower… You… you can’t stand here…”
Jessica got really embarrassed and stuttered.
“It’s normal in this season.”
Lucian stared at Jessica and responded.
Jessica got bewildered.
“The spring is around the corner.”
Lucian reminded her.
“You are crazy!”
Jessica immediately got the hint and threw the wash cloth that was soaked with cold water on Lucian ’s
face.
Standing on the spot, Lucian didn’t move and just let Jessica do whatever she wanted.
The cloth then fell off Lucian ’s face.
“Are you irritated because I busted you?”
Before Jessica was about to leave the bathroom, Lucian suddenly trapped her against the door and
smiled.
Jessica didn’t try to fight back and just hissed.
“I got to take care of some things abroad and won’t be back for a couple of days.”
Jessica turned around subconsciously and landed her eyes on Lucian .
Going abroad?
“Okay, when is the flight?”
“Now.”
“Do you have to be this hasty? Those matters would be handled eventually. Don’t be too tried.”
“Anything else?”
“It’s all?”
Jessica was really bad at saying affectionate words. She thought that she had made her point clearly.
Lucian raised his eyebrows and pulled Jessica into his chest and put her hand on his waist.
“You...”
Jessica got wooden and stuttered.
She can even feel Lucian ’s warmth and muscular body against the hand-made shirt.
She quickly retracted her hand like she was burned.
“Are you happy with it?”
Lucian pressed her hand and didn’t let her escape.
He whispered to her and landed his hot breathing on her neck.
“It’s just some teasing between us. It’s really not true...”
Jessica got nervous and explained hurriedly and knew that Lucian was serious about Amara’s words.
“Lucian , your suitcase is packed and the plane is standing by in the apron.”
The butler knocked on the door and said respectfully.
“Don’t watch those movies alone and contact me whenever you need me.”
Lucian soothed Jessica and just left.
Jessica was finally relieved and suddenly felt void inside.
After taking the shower, she went back to shoot breezes with Amara.
“I will finish my gig soon and will then go back. That Aminah would definitely suffer and pay for what
shady things she did before! When we got the concrete evidence, we will just cooperate and destroy

Jessica added a string of heart-shaped emoticons and felt really fortunate to have this bestie.
While at night, Jessica tossed and turned and just can’t fall asleep. She can’t shake off Lucian ’s strong
image from her mind.
His low voice echoed in her head.
He was always confident and can make her blush every time.
Moreover, she had never watched those movies with Amara!
But actually, Amara had surprised her with one when she had birthday before.
Lucian even told her to contact him when she needed to take care of something.
She really felt secure.
After having foolish thoughts all night, Jessica didn’t go to sleep till four in the morning and no one
dared to wake her up and she was woken by a phone ringing.
“Hi, who is this?”
Jessica grabbed her phone and answered.
“Jessica, I’m mommy, did I just disturb your sweet dream?”
Aminah’s voice sounded rarely sweet and seemed like she was afraid that she might scare Jessica.
“Mommy?”
Jessica sneered and thought that Aminah was shameless.
“It’s auntie Aminah.”
Aminah was frantic at this moment and dared not to confront Jessica. Though she sounded nice and
sweet, she was fierce inside.
“What do you want?”
Jessica was pleased by Aminah’s attitude.
“Juliette just won a prize with her design. I booked a private room in Claus Hotel to let you sisters bond
together and meet more friends. Do you have time?”
Aminah was really determined to let Jessica fall for her trap.
Well, she certainly wasn’t afraid of her schemes.
“Well, as her sister, of course I got to attend her party and congratulate her in person. Text me the
address and I will be there.”
“Juliette must be excited to know that you will be there. We will hold the party at the VVIP room in
Claus Hotel.”
“VVIP room? Claus Hotel?”
Jessica thought that she heard it wrong and repeated the question.
“Yes, you heard it right. It’s the VVIP room in Claus Hotel which is one of the properties of the Fletcher,
one of the four prestigious families. It’s really hard to get into it. You have to be either rich or powerful.
Your father really values Juliette’s party this time and spent a fortune on booking a VVIP room. You
haven’t been in this kind of luxurious place since you are in the barbaric place before, so you can really
take this opportunity and broaden your horizon. You got to thank your sister.”
Aminah was showing off and Jessica just forced her laughter back.
She had seen Claus Hotel before which was truly grand and spacious and was located in the most
popular place of the richest finance circle in the city. It probably has more than one hundred floors.”
She had asked the driver of the wedding car out of curiosity and he said that it belonged to the most
powerful man in this city.
Well, it was then natural that Aminah would flaunt in front of her as her father was willing to spend a
fortune to throw a celebration party in the most expensive room of the hotel.
“I really haven’t seen this kind of grand place in person. I will definitely be there tonight.”
Jessica put the phone aside and entered the walk-in closet.
Lucian had made this closet specifically for her after they got married and it had all sort of items inside.
Jessica wanted to find a dress to attend the party tonight.
But she instantly got dizzy as soon as she entered the closet as if she just went in a brad store.
Clothes, bags and jewelries were all categorized and stored nearly.
There were four big mirrors in every side of the room and even the roof for one so that she can check
her outfit from every angle.
All the women in the world would die for this kind of closet.
Jessica then opened the clothes section and found that all kinds of wears were strictly partitioned.
She was standing in the home wear section and a sexy pajama caught her eye and her face instantly
blushed. All kids of lingerie were stored in this section, be it French lace, tank top or cute ones.
Were all these for her?
Lucian sure got a particular taste...
Amara had said that the more aloof a man was from the outside, the more seductive he was inside.
It was obviously true.
Jessica soon targeted a dress and paired it with a set of low-profile jewelries and went to the Claus
Hotel.
