Dangerous Invincible

Chapter 3

Meryl's Pov

When I saw The Alpha King making a move towards my dad I yelled.

"No, please" I grabbed his arm, he turned his face towards me as I shook my head furiously, begging him with my eyes.

I know my dad is strong but he is Alpha King and he is the strongest of all.

The King grunted as he tuned around to face my Dad who had a defeated look in his eyes, he knows he can't fight him but still he tried to for my sake and that shows how much he loves me.

"Meryl"

My Father whispered with a broken look which broke my heart as I ran towards him and hugged him while my mother sobbed as she too hugged me from behind.

"I love you, Daddy"

I mumbled on his shoulder sniffling.

We broke out of our hug and mom stood beside Dad.

‘You don't have to go.We'll figure something out"

My Dad whispered as he held my face in his hands, his eyes glistening with unshed tears.

This is the first time I seen tears in his eyes and it broke me because was the reason for his pain.

I shook my head as mom moved the hair out of my face.

"It's okay Dad, I'll be fine"

I croaked out trying to convince him and at the same time trying to convince myself.

"We have to go"

The King grunted as he pulled me towards him and kept his hands firm on my waist.

I bit my lip as I tried to control myself from crying hysterically as it would be last time I'll see my parents who knows when I'll meet them again.

"But I didn't even say goodbye to my friends"

I said meekly as he walked me out of my pack grounds and that's when I notice my pack members looking at me with various emotions on their faces.

Most of the faces held an awestruck, sympathetic, happy and the last one which confused me was the look of jealousy which was plastered on almost all the unmated female wolves.

"You don't need to"

The King said rudely which made me shut my mouth instantly as he led me to his car.

By friends I mean Karl and Daisy.

I just wanted to meet them once before I go away.

He opened his car door then he held my waist, picking me up and settling me in the passenger seat of his car.

I don’t understand what was happening and why he want me to come with him.

All I know is that if I don’t go with him he'll hurt my dad.

I sniffled quietly as I realised the possibility of not meeting my family and pack members ever again.

I don't want to go with him and I'm to scared to ask him why he is taking me away.

The driver seat door opened and closed as he started driving without saying anything.

I sat there still sniffling as I was already missing home.

"Stop crying’" Alpha King suddenly growled looking at me briefly as he clenched his jaw in anger and gripped the steering wheel tightly.

I squeaked at his sudden voice and gulped feeling scared of his anger.

I wiped my eyes with the back of my hands and bit my bit to stop myself from making any sound as not make him any more angry than he already is.

I looked down at my lap as I nervously fidget the hem of my dress which I had worn for the function.

I was so happy just a few minutes ago but now it looks like everything turned into my worst nightmare.

"Where a-are you t-taking me, A-Alpha K-King?"

I stuttered out almost every word I uttered as I peek up at him from under my lashes.

He turned towards my direction to look at me but I quickly averted my eyes back at my lap where my fingers were busy playing with the hem of my dress.

"My pack’ He grunted out as if uttering these two words takes a lot of energy.

His reply was short and I still don't know why? "W-why?"

He breathe in deeply and he said the next words which shocked me.

"Because you're my mate.I snapped my head towards his direction and blinked up at him in shock.

How is this possible? Mother said mates meet each other when they are eighteen but I'm only seventeen.

Is he lying? But why would he lie? He is The Alpha King so I don't understand what motif would he have by lying to me.

I don't think he is lying but can i really be the mate of The Alpha King, The King of Werewolves.

Before I could really go into deep thinking a tired yawn was released from me without any restrain.

Alpha King glanced my way but turned back around and focused on the road quickly.

"Sleep"

He commanded as I shut my eyes without any difficulty as I really wanted to rest as it's already dark now.

I pushed myself further into door and tried to sleep Akh I felt like I was floating as I felt light weighted as if I was being carried by someone.

I landed on a soft surface as I leisurely roamed my hand over the soft surface and sigh in content.

I realized after a while that it was a bed.

With my eyes still close I heard some shuffling but was too lazy to open my eyes and look around.

I even ignored the nagging part of my brain which was urging me to open my eyes and look around.

I was at peace as I inhaled a mouth watering scent as I stuff my nose on something soft- pillow.

The sheets feels like it's of silk but mine are cotton sheets but I stupidly ignored that fact.

I'm on my bed, I thought as I stretch my arms searching for my cuddle buddy -my teddy but my hand met with the empty side of the bed.

I tried again but still found nothing then it hit me like an ice cold water that it was not my bed because my teddy is always kept there.

If my teddy is not there than it's not my bed, if it's not my bed than it’s not my room, if it's not my room than it's not my house.

Where am I? I sat upright on the unknown bed as a loud gasped escaped from my mouth looking around without moving my head.

It was not my room indeed because this room was triple the size of my room, there is a balcony at the right side of me just a few feet away from the bed which was the only source of letting the moonlight come into the room, touching everywhere it could reach.

The bed sheets were black in colour and my body was draped in cover till my waist as I clutched it tightly.

I should be at my house with my parents who are suppose to be home today not at some unknown room.

My heart beat wildly in my chest as I took in the room trying to see as much as possible with the little source of light that was coming from the glass door balcony.

The room had white walls with black carpets and also black curtains.

In fact everything I looked at where black except the walls, floor and ceiling which were white.

A surprise gasped left my mouth when I saw a silhouette of someone sitting at the far end of the room where I noticed a coffee table as well as a couch.

My gripped on the cavers tighten as I saw the figure moving slightly then stood up slowly.

Even in the dark I can make out that it was silhouette of a male as it was huge and broad, I pushed myself further away from the approaching male but my back was stood at the edge of the bed.

He bent a little which resulted to let the moonlight cast on his face and I saw his face which sent relief all over my body.

Alpha King.

I wipe my teary eyes with the back of my hand as I realised who he was then what had happen in the function came to me like a ton of bricks.

Him claiming me as his mate then our drive to his pack.

Did we reached his pack so soon? He walked around the bed and sat beside me.

"D-did we...reach...y-your p-pack?"

I asked feeling scared as well as nervous at his sudden closeness.

He didn't answer me as he kept staring at me with some unknown emction in his eyes which I couldn't figure out.

Since his face was now close me I drink in his looks, he had brown eyes which were turning darker and darker every second, black haw, sharp nose, strong jaw and I can see traces of a 5 O' clock shadow.

Overall, he was very handsome and had that rough look which makes him look very masculine and tough.

I flushed when I realised I was staring at him as well as what I had just thought about him, I look down on my lap where my hands lay still holding onto the covers not not able to look at him.

I gasped when his hand took hold of my chin and raised my head up to look at him.

"Are you scared of me, Mate?"

He questioned me with no emotion in his voice.

I debated whether to lie or tell him the truth.

No, lying is bad and if he finds out he'll punish me.

""Y-yes, Al-Alpha K-King"

I stuttered out, as fear consumed my whole being when his eyes on me turned hard and calculating.

His was angry as his hand let go of my chin which now lay beside him.

His hands were formed in a fist as his jaw clenched.

His eyes were cold and hard as he looked at me.

I bit my lip at his sudden anger as I look back down on my lap as my fingers nervously played with the hem of the covers.

His hands once again found my chin and pulled it up making me look at me.

His other hand went around and grab the back of my head pulling me towards him making me yelp at his sudden action as my eyes grew wide like saucers.

felt his breath on my lips which sent tingles through my skin.

He let go of my chin and pulled my lip from my abusing mouth.

He kept rubbing my lower lip until his hand lands on my neck.

"Don't and I mean don't ever look away from me when I'm talking to you.

Do you understand?"

He ordered coldly keeping me in place as I was lost in his eyes not able to utter a word.

His voice was strong and filled with authority.

His eyes flashed dangerously when I didn't answer him as he gritted out.

"Don't make me repeat myself"

His hold on me tighten slightly which urged me to give some kind reaction to his words.

I tried to nod my head as much as possible but I couldn't because of his hold on me but he understood it.

"Say it"

He growled lowly.

"Do you understand?"

He asked again with an underlying tone in it and I know this would be the last time he'll be repeating his sentence.

"I-l un-understand, Alpha K-King"

I whispered meekly as he let go of me and stood up swiftly.

He turned around, his back stiff and walked out of the room.

I released a breath, I didn't even knew I was holding as I gave the room one last look before fatigue took over as I lay down on the bed and hugged the pillow tightly which smells wonderful, chocolate and woody which is also the smell of him, Alpha King and also my mate.

Does this means I'm on his bed and this is his room? Oh god, it is.

I'm sleeping on The Alpha King's bed.

I still can't believe I'm his mate.

He is the strongest werewolf of all times while I'm just a normal werewolf girl who would never be able to shift.

I feel like all this ts lie but I don't think he is lying because why would he lie about us being mates.

hee For the last one hour I've being trying to sleep but can't because my teddy is not here and I can't sleep without him.

I tossed and turned but still I couldn't, even the pillows which I hugged to my chest didn't help as I now lay on my back staring at the ceiling blankly.

I miss my parents, Karl, Daisy, Aunt Maria, uncle Matthew, Derek and also everyone from my pack.

I feel so lonely here.

I wanna go back home.

I heard heavy footsteps coming from outside the room as the room door opened slowly.

I quickly turned around, my back facing the balcony as I pretended to be asleep.

Then I smelled him which grew stronger and stronger as he walked towards the bed.

My heart was beating wildly threatening to leap out of my chest any I heard shuffling from behind me then the bed dip beside me as I shut my eyes tightly with my heart hammering in my chest.

I know he can hear the beating of my heart but I hang on that little hope that maybe he was distracted and can't hear my heart beating wildly.

I felt an arm snaked around my waist but I still didn't open my eyes thinking this would be it but the next thing I know he turned me around and pulled me flushed against his chest.

His one arm was on my waist while the other beneath my right ear, acting as a pillow.

I gulped and shivered slightly but still didn't open my eyes as I realized he was shirtless.

My face was on the crook of his neck as he rested his chin on top of my head and it was then that sleep overtook my senses as I unconsciously shuffled more into his warm and drape my arm around his waist as I got in a comfortable position.

I hummed in content and comfort as I surrendered myself to sleep which came rushing to me.

I felt him tightening his hold on me as he mumbled lowly. novelbin
