Chapter 4

Meryl's Pov

I was back at the same dark room where I was bound to a chair which was restraining me from moving my hands and legs.

My wrist and ankle hurts and it now burns if I move them.

I tried to scream but no words came out, I tried again but my words were muffled as I realized that I had a cloth in my mouth.

My throat felt dry as if I've being deprived of water for ages.

My eyes can't make out anything in the room as it was pitch dark.

The room smell awful and pain was felt is every part of by body.

I wanted to scream out in pain as I felt someone squeezing my neck but I can’t.

Tears were now streaming down in face in endless flows as I tried to break free from the hold, but I can't.

Then I heard it.

I heard that sinister laugh who had tortured me for days or weeks, I can't remember.

No no no, please no.

Why is he here? Why I’m I here? I was at home with my family.

It's all a dream, it’s all a dream.

I repeated it again and again in my head thinking that it will help me wake up.

I can't be here, I can’t be here again.

His sinister laugh filled the whole room making it difficult for me to breathe.

I remember daddy and Alpha Mason coming to rescue me when I was trapped here then why I'm I here again.

Did he find me again? Did he came back? "I will find you my love."

I woke up with a bolt gasping for air.

I wipe my forehead which was covered in sweat.

I closed my eyes and breathe in deeply when I realised it was just another nightmare.

I opened my eyes and looked around the room with my heart in my stomach and was confused for a minute by the room that is covered either in black or white then everything came back to me.

Alpha King.

The room was even bigger then it had seem at night.

And it's very manly and...dull.

The right side of the bed was empty and also cold which tells me that he had woken up long before.

I let go of the pillow which I was clutching in a dead grip with a sigh as I made my way towards the bathroom.

A gasped left my mouth when I entered the bathroom, it was huge.

It even had a Jacuzzi which was looking very tempting but I decided against it.

I stood Infront of the bathroom mirror and saw that I was still in my white dress, my hair was sticking out in every direction.

I combed my hair with my fingers as I tried to make myself look a little presentable.

I thanked that no one saw me like this or else it would be so embarrassing.

But Alpha King surely might have seen me like this when he woke up.

I gasped at realisation as I groaned stuffing my faced on the palm of my hands.

I remembered the night before and how he had hold me, nobody had hold me like that and it didn't even felt awkward but almost comforting.

When I raised my head from my palms I saw my face red from my thoughts.

I shook my head to get rid of the thoughts as I did my morning routine.

I opt against taking a shower even though I so wanted to take one because I don’t have any clothes with me.

I walked out of the bathroom and gasped in surprise as I held my hand on my heart when I saw Alpha King standing beside the bed facing towards the bathroom door which is where I'm standing now.

So he was staring at me.

"I brought you clothes."

He jerked his head towards the bed where I saw a paper bag.

I nodded my head.

"Thank you."

He gave a stiff nod with his expression blank and walked out the room.

I quickly grabbed the bag and ran towards the bathroom for a much needed shower.

Everything I need was in the bag like a clean set of panties and bra with a yellow sun dress which reached till my mid thighs.

It was cute and I like it.

I walked out the bathroom bare feet.

I saw my shoes at the corner of the room but decided against it as I don't like to wear shoes when I'm in the house.

I exited the Alpha King's room and made my way downstairs as it was eerie silent.

I slowly made my way down the stairs as if scared of making even a single noise.

I was really hungry and soI decided to search for the kitchen as no one was around which is strange.

I started making my way towards which I assumed was the kitchen slowly.

"What are you doing?"

A voice asked from behind me which made me squeak loudly and I turned around with my hand on my heart.

"I...was.you..."

I was not even able to finish my sentence as he started laughing.

My face felt hot due to embarrassment and I recognized him, he is the beta of Alpha King.

"Why were you-"

Before he can complete his sentence we heard heavy footsteps coming down the stairs.

The beta straightened up immediately as all traces of amusement that was present on his face a few minutes ago gone replace by a blank expression.

"What's happening here?"

The Alpha King's voice boomed as he walked towards our direction.

I jumped a little in fright but tried to masked it.

"Nothing King, I was just going when I saw Luna."

His beta said with his head bowed in respect and submission as the King glared at him.

Luna? Is he talking about me? I can’t be a Luna.

My was brought of of my mental panic state when I heard Alpha King's voice.

"Go? "Yes, King.Luna."

The Beta gave us each a bow and walked out the house.

"What are you wearing?"

"Huh?"

I was confused by his question as I look down at my dress.

I wore what he had given me.

He was glaring at my exposed legs as if they had committed the most cruel crime.

"It's too short."

He state as he pulled his phone out and called someone.

I guess whoever he had called had accept the call as he started talking without even a hello.

"You are no longer required, I told you to pick a single dress for her and that's what you choose for her.I'll let someone else pick the dresses for her."

He had a calm expression as he said these but his voice was hard which explains how serious he is.

Without waiting for a reply he cut the call and look at my legs again with narrowed eyes but still had a blank expression which doesn't let me see what he is thinking.

"Come."

He started walking towards the direction where I was previously walking before the beta had interrupted me.

I followed behind him like a lost puppy as I have no clue where he was taking me.

We entered into what looked like a kitchen.

It was huge just like the rest of the house, it had brown cupboards and also a marble bar with four stools, counter and everything look shiny and new as if nothing is touched since the day it was made.

"Sit"

He ordered as he pointed at one of the stool.

I sat down quietly and faced him as he was standing opposite of me.

He opened one of the cupboards and took out a cereal.

I scrunched my nose at the sight of it not because I don't like it but because I like to eat real food during breakfast and not cereals.

"You don't like this?"

Alpha king asked when he saw my expression.

I quickly shook my head at his question and replied.

"No, I like it but if you want I can cook something- I offered with a small smile as I love cooking especially with my mum and aunt Maria who always teach me new recipes.

My smile vanished when I remember them, I miss them alot.

"Okay- Alpha King's voice brought me back reality.

I gave him a small smile and walked around the bar and walked towards the counter.

I opened the cupboards and search for the ingredients for the break fast I had in mind but most of the needed ingredients were missing.

So I decided to make use of whatever was there and looking at the ingredients available I think I will be making pancakes today.

I mixed all the required ingredients for a pancake in a bowl and made a batter of it.

I started making the pancakes but all the while I felt a piercing gaze at the back of my head which was of none other than the King itself.

He didn't say anything as he quietly sat the stool with his gaze solely on my back.

I grabbed two plates and served two pancakes each on it, I placed the plate infront of him and another beside him with another plate filled with pancakes between the two plates.

I placed the syrup Infront of him as I walked around and sat on the stool beside him.

He poured the syrup and handed it to me.

I gave him a small smile as I took the syrup and poured it over my pancakes.

I saw him cutting the pancakes and then ate it.

I was looking at him for any reaction as Kyle always compliment my cooking skills as he says I'm the best cook.

Alpha King took another bite then another and another until he finished his plate all the while his expression was neutral which was making it hard for me to make out what he was thinking. novelbin

I sighed when I got no reaction from him and turned to my pancakes, I took a bite and it was tasty actually it was really good comparing to all the pancakes I had made.

I took a peek at him from under my lashes and saw him eating the pancakes again.

I look at the plate of pancakes I had placed between us and saw that there was only one pancake left while I had kept five there.

I smiled when I realized he had ate it.

Even though he didn't say anything about my pancakes I know he had liked it.

I finished my plate of pancakes and grabbed both of our plates to the sink.

He stood up from his place and cleared his throat.

I turned back and faced him with a small smile, as nervousness set in me.

"I'll be late as I've got some business to take care of and I want you to stay inside."

As soon as he said that he walked out the kitchen without waiting for my reply.

I heard the front door slam shut and then silence.

I sighed feeling bored already.

I turned around and washed the plates even though there was a dishwasher which also look new like the rest of the kitchenware.

It was already nine pm as I lay on the bed staring at the ceiling with one pillow tightly hugged to my chest.

I can't sleep because I don't have my teddy or...Alpha King with me tonight.

After he had left I decided to explore his house as there were many doors.

I looked inside every room the ones which were not locked as most of it was locked.

I even came across his office which had a name plate craved in bold letters ‘ALPHA KING’, I tried to open it but it was locked.

After a while of my mindless exploration i found a library as it was at the far end of the house, I don't think it is a house because it's huge and It would surely be a mansion but I still had not seen it from outside.

I spend the rest of my day there reading as it was huge and it had shelves and shelves of books.

At around six pm, I came out of the library to make dinner for both of us.

I wait for Alpha King to come back as to eat our dinner together because I don't like to eat alone.

I wait for him till eight pm but he still didn't came so having no other option but to eat because my stomach started growling because I didn't ate my lunch as I spent my noon locked up in the library.

I ate alone for the first time and I couldn't even eat properly as I felt homesick and alone in this big house, all by myself.

I waited for a while after I ate my dinner but he still didn't came.

After a while of waiting I kept his share of dinner in the fridge for him to eat after he come back and I retired to bed but sleep was far away from me.

I don't know how long I was staring at the ceiling of the new room I had found in this mansion.

It was a really nice room which was of green and white colour.

It was small comparing to the king's room but I like it.

Suddenly a loud, angry and animalistic growl rang all over the mansion which cause me to gasped and sat upright in my new bed with a bolt.

I look towards the door as I heard heavy footsteps coming towards my new room.

Then it stopped just outside my room.

I saw the shadow moving from the little gap that was at the door then I heard a loud bang which caused me to release a blood curling scream.

I closed my eyes tightly as I shut my ears with both of my hands.

I was shivering not because of cold but because of terror, terror of whom it might be.

Did he find me like he promised he would? "No, no, no please, please, please..."

I chanted over and over again as tears stream down my face.

I don't want to go back there.

I heard heavy footsteps coming towards the bed where I was curled, my legs were brought up to my chest as I hid my face between it.

I was terrified of what was gonna happen next but that same scent filled my nostrils when I breathe in deeply.

I slowly turned my head towards the door and saw it broken in half and was off it's hinges and at the edge of my bed stood him with his face masked in rage.
