Dangerous Invincible

Chapter 7-2

Alpha King stood and walked out the kitchen.

I followed behind him closely.

I looked at his broad back and gulped at the sudden thought that came to my mind.

He is so huge.

If he want than he can snapped me into two anytime.

He opened the door and I heard a girl voice.

They talked for a while as I was standing behind him and the door and he covered the girl from my view.

He moved away from the door and let the girl in.

And when I saw her, I was gobsmacked by her beauty.

She was so beautiful with her short blond hair pin straight, her sparkling blue eyes and she was even tall.

She was clad in a short navy blue dress which makes her look all the more beautiful.

As soon as she saw me, her smile dimmed.

"Who is she?"

She asked Alpha King.

I thought he would introduce us but he didn't.

"None of your business."

He snapped at her which made her bow her head in submission.

Since I don’t know her name I decided to call her beautiful blond lady.

"Sorry King."

She whispered frightened.

"Where do you want to keep it?"

She asked when he gave her a nod.

"Keep them here, Lucy will look after them."

He ordered.

She looked at me once and turned around towards the door, she opened the door and three men walked in with couple of boxes on each of their hands.

"What are those?"

I asked Alpha King about the boxes.

"Your stuff."

That's all he said and that's when I noticed the small square white paper paste on the box with clothes, shoes, toiletries etc written on it.

There was at least ten boxes in total and that too the boxes where big making me think much did he spent on it all.

He dismissed Beautiful blind lady rudely, when she asked if he need anything else.

"She's pretty."

I blurted out unknowingly as soon as he closed the door.

He turned around swiftly when he heard my voice and asked.

"Julie?"

I realized that was the name of the beautiful blond lady and nodded.

I nodded my head and looked at the boxes placed on the ground.

"I'll be heading out now.

Lucy will come and keep this stuff at their respected places.

So don't touch these’ He state sternly as if talking to a child.

I quickly nodded my head and asked him what I wanted to.

"Who's Lucy?"

I asked with my head titled a little to the right, looking directly at me.

I'm a little more comfortable around him now and also I had talked with him without stuttering.

He opened his mouth to answer but was cut off by the doorbell again.

"I get going’ He turned around and opened the door.

He let a woman in who looked older, probably in her mid forty's or so.novelbin

She was short just like me and had a warm smile on her face as she entered.

Alpha king walked out of the house after she came in.

When she saw me, she came rushing towards me with her arms wide open and engulfed me ina tight hug.

I was surprised by her actions but accepted it by circling my hands around her when I felt a feeling of home in her hug.

"Oh look at you.You are so pretty."

She gushed as she broke off the hug and held my shoulders.

I smile at her compliment and blushed.

"Now I know why he was hiding you from everyone."

She continued with a teasing smile.

She had that motherly aura around her which makes me feel comfortable and at ease with her as if I had known her for long.

"What's you name, sweetie?"

She asked with a warm smile on her face.

"Meryl."

"Oh such a pretty name.I'm Lucy"

"I should go back to the pack house.They are probably waiting for me to make them dinner."

She sighed heavily and gave me hug.

"Do you have to go so soon?"

I asked Lucy as I don't wanna be alone because I don't know when he'll come back.

"I have to go."

She smiled apologetically at me.

"But don't worry I'll talk to him and then you can come visit the pack house.

She said trying to console me.

I nodded my head quickly and grin.

"Okay"

"Bye, I'll probably come back tomorrow."

She gave me a hug which I return in the same favour.

I miss her already.

"Bye."

I walked her to the door and then she was out of the house and making her way towards the gate.

I closed the door and leaned my back on the door.

I looked at the around the house and closed my eyes as loneliness set in me.

I don't wanna stay here, I wanna go back home with my parents and friends.

But I know I can't run even if I tried because the house was guarded securely with guards outside the door and also outside the gate.

I decided to take a shower as i have nothing else to do now.

I walked up the stairs and then his room where my clothes were now hanged and kept in half of the closet.

I chose a loose t-shirt and cotton shorts to wear as I'll be heading to bed after few hours.

I entered the bathroom and locked it.

I got in the shower and thought of everything that I did today.

It's like a routine for me, think of everything I did in the shower.

The band aid I had wrapped around my left index finger was peeling off because of the water.

I made a mental note to used a waterproof one this time.

While helping Lucy in lifting the boxes and arranging the things, I had cut my finger with the small knife that we had used to cut opened the boxes.

She turned to an angry lady in a matter of seconds as she scolded me of being so careless and how Alpha wouldn't like that I had helped her but in my defence it was stuff so I had to help her.

We had continued working after that even though she told me not to but I was persistent and eventually she had to agree with me.

We made dinner together all the while she told me things about her as I told her about my life back in my pack.

Lucy lives in the pack house, she have no mate as her mate died at war.

She have two sons who are also a warrior like her husband and one daughter who is still in school.

She along with the other older woman at the pack house look after the kitchen needs and does the household work.

I asked her if she was forced or compelled to do this but she laughed at me and said.

"No, the King would never make us do things we don't want to do.He is a good man."

I hope so.

I got out of the shower and dressed in the clothes that I had brought with me.

I was blow drying my hair when I heard the opening of the front door.

I walked out the room and then down the stairs but I met him half way on the stairs, we both stopped walking as he slowly lifted his head and then his eyes met mine.

"Um...Would you like to eat di...diner?"

I stuttered the last part as his eyes suddenly flashed golden.

I don't know what had caused that to happen but it made me feel uneasy and also his lingering gaze on my legs didn't help.

"Yes, I'll be down."

As soon as he said that he walked past me.

I shrugged and made a bee line to the kitchen.

I set us both a plate and waited for him to come down.

After a while if waiting, I heard footsteps and then he entered the kitchen in his sweats and white t-shirt.

He took a seat and then we both started eating in silence.

"You are going to start school from tomorrow: I stopped eating at his voice as well as at what he had said.

"Huh?"

I asked my spoon halfway in the air, With my mouth wide open in shock.

Did he just said school? And I'll be joining it? Tomorrow? When he didn't say anything else I tried again.

"I will be going to school?"

1 asked trying to hide my real emotion but it was so hard to and I ended up smiling widely.

His eyes narrowed when he saw my smile but I couldn't help it.

"Yes."

I grin when he confirmed it.

"Why are you so happy?"

His voice held that suspicious tone which made my smile vanished instantly.

I shook my head and shrugged.

"I like school."

I whispered and looked down at my food.

"How was your previous school?"

He asked gruffly.

"It was good."

I replied quickly, and tried to make it sound as truthful as possible.

I looked down at my plate and started eating.

Trying to avoid eye contact.

"Okay’ Was his only reply.

I smiled again when he believed me.

I couldn't tell him why I'm so happy of going to school because he might changed his mind after that.

I peeked at him from under my lashes and saw him nodding his head with his face neutral.

I sighed internally in relief, that was close.

I can't let him know that I had never went to school.

My father never allowed me to go to school and Instead I was homeschooled.

I can't wait to start school already.
