Chapter 4: Saying goodbye

We arrived at the pack houses. Jessica drove through to my house. She stopped her car in the front yard.

"Thanks Jessica." I smiled.

"No probs." she climbed out the car.

We walked to my front door and I opened it. Niall was on his phone as usual.

"Hello Niall." I said.

"What's up sister?" he said and his eyes were still on his phone screen.

"Oh hey!" Jessica said shyly.

"Hey Jessica." Niall said as he took his eyes off his phone screen and scanned Jessica, biting his bottom lip.

I chuckled and walked upstairs. Jessica didn't follow me while her face was as red as a tomato. I took out my phone and checked my text messages.

"Hey beautiful."

It must be Louis.

"Who is this?" I asked acting dumb.

Soon after.

"Who else would call you that? Knowing that I'm your mate, I'll be the only one calling you these pet names."

"I was joking Grayson." I changed the name 'unknown' to 'Grayson'.

"What are you up to?"

"Things."

"Don't be dumb."

"I'm not."

"I'm trying to be nice to you, but it's getting really hard, everyone else can treat me with respect, I don't know what makes you so special, you can't even talk to me with decency? This is your last fucking warning from me, being sweet okay? trust me gorgeous, I'm not sweet. I'm your worst fucking nightmare. Alright. Just clearing that. So I asked you, what are you up to?"

This message made me feel bad. It felt like daggers to my heart.

"I'm with Jessica."

"Where are you beautiful?"

His words did things to me, it made my heart skip a beat.

"I'm home."

"Okay see you later."

"Bye Alpha." I locked my phone and packed my clothes. Niall came walking in.

"Jessica told me everything. Why didn't you tell me?" Niall asked sadly.

"I honestly didn't know how to say. You've tried so hard to keep me out of danger and all I'm doing is walking into danger's embrace." I said looking down.

"I wish I could do something. But I can't. He's our king." Niall said.

"I'll be fine." I hugged Niall.

"But I still will rip him apart if he doesn't treat you like a princess that you are." Niall smiled.

"Okay." I giggled. "I've gotta go shower." I said and Niall left.

I took my clothes to the bathroom, washed my hair and shaved where necessary. I climbed out the shower, dried my body, put on a black dress that showed cleavage, with a push up bra. I wore black boots to go with and a leather jacket.

I went downstairs but Jessica and Niall weren't there. I heard the laughing from Niall's room. Jessica was playing x box with Niall. Figures.

"I see you guys are having fun." I smirked.

"Jealous?" Niall returned the smirk.

I flopped myself on Niall's bed and checked my phone.

"Have you packed?" Grayson sent me a message.

"Yeah."

"I'll let you visit your family when necessary."

"Thanks."

"Smile beautiful."

"I don't feel like it Grayson."

"I can make you smile."

I started blushing as usual.

"I don't doubt that."

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"You have a way with females. You know their weaknesses, what makes them happy, what makes them sad. You know how to make females weak just by a touch."

"I can't disagree. I have a gift."

I locked my phone and continued to watch Jessica and Niall play x box.

"I guess mom and dad know?" I asked.

"Yeah. They're not thrilled but unfortunately we can do nothing." Niall said.

I heard the front door open. Luke and Shawn walked in.

Luke was my second oldest brother, he was 23. He had a lip piercing, an eyebrow piercing and tattoos. He had blonde hair and he was tall.

Shawn was the next in line for alpha. Shawn was tall, he had dark brown hair and a tattoo.

"Danielle, I am so sorry about Grayson." Luke said to me.

"It's okay Shawn. It's nobody's fault." I rubbed his shoulder.

"We always be here for you, no matter what, you're still my baby sister." Shawn squeezed my cheek. I smacked Shawn's arm.

My phone started vibrating. Grayson was calling me.

"Hey..."

"Hey beautiful. I'm on the way."

"Okay see you soon."

He hung up. Everyone looked at me with sympathy in their eyes.

"Guys I'll be fine." I faked a smile which they bought. Shawn tackled me on the bed, following with Luke, then Niall and then Jessica. I screamed and laughed.

"You guys are super heavy, now get off me!" They finally got off me.

I heard a knock at the door. I could smell his strong cologne which made my wolf purr. I opened the door.

"Hey..." I said. Whenever I see him, I can't stop staring. He is so perfect.

"You ready beautiful?" He smirked.

"Yeah, Niall, Luke and Shawn will bring my bags downstairs." novelbin

My brothers put the bags down and shook hands with Grayson. They were all giving Grayson dirty looks.

Grayson smirked while he snaked his arms around my waist. The spark I felt was amazing. I looked up and saw that Shawn was really upset. I tried to get out of Grayson's grip but he was too strong and a part of me wanted to stay in his arms forever. I felt safe. Protected.

"We should get going. Nice to meet you all." Grayson flashed a cocky smile.

"Listen Grayson. If you ever hurt my baby sister in anyway, I'll rip your body to shreds. And then I'll chew on your bones." Shawn's eyes were black with anger.

"With all due respect Shawn, I would love to see you try. I prey on werewolfs like you. But I will look after Danielle. I look after what's mine." Grayson smirked.

"I'm just warning you." Shawn growled. Grayson growled back even louder.

"Both of you stop it!" I shouted at them. They both looked at me.

"Grayson let's go." I pull him out the house.

"Now I'm going to say goodbye to my brothers and my friend." I walked into the house.

"I will rip him into pieces." Shawn shouted.

"Stop it! I'm leaving now." I hugged my brothers and Jessica.

"I'll come visit when I can." I smiled and walked outside. Grayson was waiting in the driver seat of his mustang, gorgeous car.

What a gentlemen I think to myself before reaching the door handle, immediately Grayson came to open the door in vampire speed.

"Thanks and please stop reading my thoughts." I said.

"I'll do what I please." he said as he closed the door.

My heart sank as we drove past the pack houses.
