Chapter 24- Amara

I nodded and turned around to walk home.

“Hop on.” Steven said crouching in front of me.

I didn’t have any energy left to argue so I simply climbed on his back. He zoomed off immediately.

We were ganged in immediately by four people as soon as we crossed the threshold.

“What happened?” Hudson.

“What did you decide?” Lucas.

“What are we doing?” Hudson.

“Mom were you crying?” That was Aria.

I didn’t answer her. Looking at her made me want to cry again.

Archer was standing behind the three but close.

“We have a meeting at seven today. Everyone is going.” Steven answered as I tried not to cry.

“What do you mean by everyone?” Aria asked.

“Just what I said. Everyone.” Steven answered and steered me inside.

As soon as we enter our bedroom, I broke down again. My daughter’s fate will be decided today. I just

want to hide her some place safe. Why can’t anyone just let her live in peace?

A minute later a very naked Steven entered the room from the bathroom.novelbin

“Come on. I have prepared a bath. We still have two hours to go. Let’s relax a little before we have to

face the hell.”

I was about to protest but he picked me up and entered the bathroom. He gently placed me on the

counter and removed the dress off of my body.

“We won’t let anyone hurt our daughter love.” He said circling his arms around me and resting his

forehead on mine. “We will fight to our last breath if it comes to it but we have to give Ajax a chance to

be with his mate. He doesn’t deserve the life he is living. One wrong move and Zeno won’t be able to

put a hand on our daughter. I will make sure of it and so will Ben and Ethan. You know how much our

children love each other. They won’t let anyone hurt their sister.”

I nodded smiling.

“You did a good job with them. They are perfect. I couldn’t ask for anything better.” He said smiling

softly.

“We did a great job. We raised them together Steven.”

He nodded and set me on my feet on the bathroom floor. He lowered himself in the bathtub looking at

me playfully. I blushed as I stripped out of my underwear and bra. I could feel his gaze on my body.

I lowered myself in the bathtub, facing him. He pulled me towards him as I was about to get

comfortable.

His lips molded into mine immediately. He kissed me gently and passionately while his fingers roamed

my body. A few seconds later, he parted our lips.

“Once this is all over, I am going to fuck you to oblivion.” Steven growled looking at me with a heated

gaze. I couldn’t help the moan that slipped my mouth. “I am already trying really hard to control myself

love. Don’t make it harder.” He said near my ear making me blush even more. He adjusted me so my

back touched his and he leaned back with me on him. I sighed soaking in the comfort of a warm water

and my mate.

After the bath, I made a quick dinner of mac and cheese and told the kids to get ready. They didn’t

object or ask any questions but I knew they were bursting inside to know what was going on. Eros on

the other hand is simply clueless. He thinks we are going to visit the pack as usual.

We had to take three cars as our number is increased by three. Archer, Hudson and Lucas are driving

Aria’s car with Ben with them to show them the directions. Aria was going to go with the three boys but

the twins threw a fit about leaving their sister with a male. Three looked to be a fat chance. Aria sat

pouting in Steven’s car and refused to talk to Ben and Ethan.

I wonder what will happen when the twins come to know about the subject of the meeting. God save

Zeno’s soul or rather not. I would like to see him get what he deserves. Alas that won’t be a good

scene and I would have to restrain them from getting physical with the supposed Alpha no matter how

much I want to beat him to pulp myself.

We parked our cars in the space in front of the houses of the pack and started our walk towards the

meeting house.

As we entered the clearing, the buzz stopped completely. The atmosphere turned into a stressed one. I

could see the confused faces of the children peering at us from the midst of the crowd.

In the crowd, my eyes also fell on Zeno, Fabian and Francis. Two growls ripped through the silence.

Mine and Steven’s. I could tell without looking that the rest of my party was shooting daggers at the

three snakes. Their heads lowered and I focused on the pack sitting around the three, like trying to

protect them. I wanted to laugh so bad but I controlled myself.

“Mommy why are you mad?” Eros asked innocently from my hip.

“Nothing baby. We are just in a sort of problem.”

He nodded.

I shouldn’t have brought him here. He is too young for this.
