Derek was so shocked that his eyes nearly popped out of his head.

Then, he realized there was a more important question. “That’s weird. How can a woman hold you down? Or should I ask, in what kind of situation can a woman hold you down? This happened in the hotel, so did she do it on the bed?”

He didn’t need them to answer him at all and came to a conclusion by himself. “So, that woman slept with you, handcuffed you to the bed, and ran away.” His logical reasoning was undoubtedly excellent.

“Just do the fingerprint comparison, and make it quick. Mr. Jenkins, you get the fingerprint, and I’ll find a way to get Miss Woland and Emma’s fingerprints.” Caleb felt that if Derek continued to talk about that, the Knight Family would probably start killing him to silence the man, so he quickly diverted the topic.

“Look into Alice,” Ethan added. It was obvious that he was talking to Caleb since he had already asked Derek to do so before this, but he was asking Caleb to do the same thing. This showed that the situation was much different than before.

After a moment of silence, Ethan answered, “From her birth.”

At that moment, he recalled Leah’s description of Alice. If the one who ran away from his room was really Alice, it meant that the Woland Family had definitely hidden many things about her on purpose, so he needed to look for suspicious traces in her daily life.

After she got down at Starry Park, she dodged the surveillance cameras and finally arrived home after some time.

As soon as she reached the entrance of the house, she could see Pierce pacing anxiously in front of it.

“Pierce.” Alice finally loosened up a little, and she sounded like she was going to cry. She really had been through so much tonight.

Pierce looked at her and was stunned for two seconds before dashing over. “What happened? Why did you make yourself look like Emma?”

He had gone on a business trip several days ago, but since it was Alice’s birthday yesterday, he booked a flight ticket to come back. In fact, he could’ve been back before 5.00PM the day before, but his flight was delayed because of the weather, and he didn’t know when it would take off.

In the end, he drove back by himself, but his car had some minor problems on the way back. By the time he arrived at Rodcaster, it was already 1.00AM.

Alice’s birthday party had already ended, but Alice was not home yet, and he couldn’t reach her on the phone, so it made him very anxious.

Alice added, “At around 8.00PM, Grandma suddenly said that she wasn’t feeling well, and she asked Dad and Mom to bring her to the hospital. Of course, they couldn’t say no. Meanwhile, I couldn’t leave with them since I was the star of the party.”

“Around 30 minutes after they left, my body started to feel weird. I didn’t think much about it at that time because I was already very careful. After Dad and Mom left, I didn’t drink or eat anything.”

“Then, I saw Emma sneaking out to make a call, so I followed behind her and saw her bringing a few men in. I even heard her mentioning my name to those men and asking them to think of a way to bring me up to a room.”

“I realized the severity of this problem at that moment, but I was feeling so uncomfortable. This was when I recalled grandma asking Dad, Mom, and I to toast to her. I drank something at that time, so I was probably drugged then.”

“I know Uncle Elijah and Aunt Bethany are definitely part of this. They pulled Dad and Mom away from the scene, so I had no one to help me at that time. I could only help myself. As such, I took Emma’s bag and hid inside the washroom to make myself look like her. I wanted to pretend to be her to escape.”

She only recalled that she disguised herself as Emma after she left the gas station in a taxi.

“I remember coming out of the washroom and bumping into two of Emma’s men as well as Uncle Elijah, but they didn’t recognize me. They took me as Emma and didn’t get in my way, so I escaped from the banquet hall successfully. Then, I saw Aunt Bethany waiting for me downstairs, so I didn’t dare go down. When I entered the elevator, I felt that I was going to lose my consciousness. I could only remember pressing a floor button at that time, but I don’t remember which floor it was. I can’t recall anything after that. When I woke up, I found myself on a bed with a man. I’m not sure if he was part of the arrangement, so I tried my best to escape from there. In fact, he nearly caught me.”
