The woman standing next to Theodore was wearing a white dress. With long hair, red lips, and white teeth,

she looked gentle and elegant.

She didn’t wear any other accessories except an expensive bracelet on her wrist. But even so, nobody could

move their eyes away from her.

Jalen was no exception.

Every time this woman appeared, he would be stunned by her beauty. He had made up his mind not to inquire about anything related to her, but at present, he could not help knowing more about her.

“Mr. Murphy.”

Ross was the first to greet Theodore. He beamed, feeling surprised to invite such a big shot here today.

“Of course not.” Ross shook his head and couldn’t help but look at Elaina, who was beside Theodore.

He thought, she’s so beautiful. Who is she to Theodore? Is she willing to work for BQ magazine as a model?

Feeling Ross’s gaze, Elaina wasn’t timid. Instead, she looked at him with a smile. “Nice to meet you, Mr.

Sanchez.”

“Nice to meet you too.” Ross nodded and looked at Theodore, asking. “Mr. Murphy, this is your…”

Theodore looked down at Elaina beside him with a trace of affection flashing across his eyes and quickly said, “She’s my sister.”

“Oh, she turns out to be your sister.” Ross was surprised and recalled Jalen’s sister he had met just now, thinking that by comparison, Elaina was much more beautiful.

He praised, “She is pretty and deserves to be your sister.”

Theodore smiled and did not speak, but his eyes fell on Jalen and Marie beside Ross with displeasure.

He thought, how could Jalen bring this woman here?

Fortunately, Ella has divorced him. This kind of man doesn’t deserve to be her husband at all!

“This is Mr. Halton. I think you should know him, Mr. Murphy,” Ross introduced cautiously and dare not to offend the two big shots.

Theodore nodded, curled his lips, and said with a half-smile, “Almost everyone in the whole city knows Mr. Halton.”

“Well, I have also heard so much about you,” Jalen replied with cold eyes.

The two men stood face to face. Ross wasn’t sure if it was his illusion, but he felt that they seemed to be hostile to each other.

Just as Theodore and Jalen looked at each other with enmity, Elaina tugged at Theodore’s sleeve. “Let’s go take a seat. The charity auction should be starting soon.”

She knew that Theodore was defending her, but she thought it was unnecessary. Since she had divorced Jalen, she did not want to have anything to do with him and did not even want her brother to offend him

because of her.

“Yes, it will start soon.” Ross nodded quickly, feeling under great pressure with the two big shots around.

He led the four people to the first row. After arranging seats for the three of them, he found an excuse to leave for fear that Theodore and Jalen would vent their anger on him.

But coincidentally, the four people sat next to each other. Elaina and Theodore sat down first. Marie saw this and wanted to sit beside Elaina, but unexpectedly, Jalen sat down first.

Marie bit her lips and looked at Elaina and Jalen sitting together unhappily.

Elaina also did not expect Jalen to sit next to her. She subconsciously moved closer to Theodore to distance

herself from him.

She did not want to have anything to do with Jalen. Coupled with what happened to the Gansburg family this

time, she hated him a lot and wished to stay away from him.
