"Yeah, that's them," Bert replied.

“Then, what should we do now? Are they very strong and dangerous?” asked John.

"We are forced to fight. And yes, they are very strong and dangerous," Bert replied.

"I'll load my rifle with silver-based bullets first." Then, John took his rifle, took out the bullet, then he

opened the bottom shelf of his kitchen cupboard, opened a box, and loaded his rifle with silver bullets.

“John, are you sure you can hit the target?” asked Bert a little worried.

"You doubt me?" asked John.

“It's not like that, it's just that they are very well trained. You must be very careful, we're both at a

disadvantage. There seems to be quite a number of them," said Bert.

"I'm not afraid, Bert. Let's fight them," said John.

The old man got up and walked towards the front door of his house, carrying two rifles, each in his left

and right hands. Bert followed closely behind.

Meanwhile, Vlad and his men smell Bert in the forest. They immediately changed form and walked

slowly towards John's house. On the other hand, John remains in human form, while Bert transforms

into a wolf.

Then, they met in the middle of the forest. Vlad showed a smile and a sharp grin. Meanwhile, Bert just

kept quiet and didn't ask much, because it was useless for him to ask or negotiate with the

subordinates of the Chief of the High Court. Their only goal is to kill Bert and eliminate the trial.

"Bert, it's been a long time since we've seen each other," said Vlad.

“Hmm I guess there's no need to make small talk, we can fight straight away to save time. Weren't you

ordered to kill me straight away?" asked Bert in an unfriendly tone.

“Oh well, sorry I'm just a subordinate who has to carry out orders. My lord indeed wants your death.

Then what are you waiting for, let's see how strong you are after being badly injured," said Vlad.

Then, Vlad and his men advanced to attack Bert and John. However, they were aware of the rifle that

was in the old man's hand. So, they focused on attacking Bert, while the other two tried to grab the

weapon that was in John's hand.

A fierce battle ensued. Bert was not able to fight them all. Two against eight, and they were in good

health and unharmed.

Luckily John was strong enough, even though the two people who targeted him turned into wolves, but

he swiftly aimed the gun mouth at the two wolves' bodies and pressed the trigger. He did that very

quickly and was right on target.

Two wolves died instantly. The remaining six wolves were fighting. Vlad who saw his subordinates had

died, then ordered four of his subordinates at once to kill and tear John's body apart.

John, who realized that he was threatened, then ran to find a safer place for him while continuing to

aim and press the trigger of his rifle at the remaining wolves. And unexpectedly, all of his targets were

hit by silver bullets and died.

Now, left Vlad and his deputy. John saw Bert badly injured, his wolf body covered in blood and wounds.

His breath started to hitch. John was afraid that Bert would die. And so, the old man started walking

towards Bert while keeping his gun pointed at Vlad and his deputy.

The piercing eyes and scary grins of the wolf Vlad and his deputy were actually enough to make John

feel a little scared, because he was alone, while Bert was badly injured.

“Go and leave us, tell your master not to bother us anymore. If you still don't want to go, then don't

blame me when this silver bullet pierces your body," he said.

"Bert, hang on," John pleaded as he stood beside him.

Bert lay limp on the ground wet from last night's rain. His breathing was heavy and blood could be seen

gushing out through his newly opened wound.

Vlad and his deputy turned back into human form. Without everyone knowing that Bert and Vlad were

best friends from childhood. Vlad didn't want to kill Bert, but he had no choice. And now they are in a

state of urgency. If he didn't kill Bert, then he would be the one his master would kill.

Seeing Bert's badly injured condition, Vlad felt sad. Decisions still have to be made. So, he took out a

knife from under his pants and stabbed it into his deputy's body many times until he died instantly.

Bert and John who saw this were surprised and did not expect at all if Vlad would do that. Then, Vlad

cleaned the knife and put it back inside his pants.

Then, the man walked up to Bert and said, “Bert, I'm sorry. You must survive and take revenge for your

Alpha. I can only help you today, I can't promise if I can help you next time. I'll tell him that I have killed

you. Heal your wounds and take your revenge. Goodbye."

Then, Vlad left before Bert could answer. He could only stare at the back of his best friend, who was

still kind to him. Then, John put his rifle on the ground and approached Bert's body. The old man

supported Bert's head while examining the wounds on his body. At that time, Bert had returned to his novelbin

original form.

“Bert, wait here. I am going back to the house to prepare a place for you.”

Bert nodded without being able to answer. John rushed to his house and prepared a bed and

medicines to treat Bert's wounds, then he went back into the forest and carried Bert's body out of the

forest.

Meanwhile, Vlad came to face the mysterious man. However, it turned out that the master was not in

his room. He was in the basement monitoring Mrs. Jenkins.

Vlad rushed to the basement. He saw the master who was behind the prison. Then, Vlad also saw if

Mrs. Jenkins was injured as if she had been lashed.

"Sir, I am coming," said Vlad, bowing respectfully.

"Give me some good news and I hope you don't let me down this time," he replied.

“Bert has died. When I found him, he was badly injured. It didn't take long for me to kill him. You can

rest easy now, the problem was that he was helped by a friend who was able to kill seven of my

subordinates. But I have killed his friend also. So, the problem has been solved," said Vlad.

“Good, this is what I like about you. You can rest now," replied the mysterious man.

"Thank you, Sir. I go now." Vlad left the cellar with a slightly suspicious feeling, then he hid behind the

wall that led to the exit.

As it turned out, the mysterious man called one of his assistants and said, "Check if everything Vlad

said was true?"
