Chapter 16 Moan

Lu Junnian felt Mu Zhi’s body shuddering in his arms. It felt like she was quickly trying to escape by struggling.

But Lu Junnian still hugged Mu Zhi tightly. Not only that, he also turned around to meet Lu Jinye’s gaze on purpose.

As Lu Jinye approached, Lu Junnian placed a kiss on Mu Zhi before leaving.

He obviously meant to provoke.

Mu Zhi’s whole body was stiff, and there were tears in the corners of her eyes. She wondered if Lu Jinye could see it in such dim light.

She was worried that it would draw more of his attention if she wiped them away.

However, Lu Jinye just walked towards her side gently, reached out his hand and helped Mu Zhi wipe away her tears directly. He then calmly took her into his arms.

As if he had not witnessed Lu Junnian’s provocative kiss, Lu Jinye gathered Mu Zhi into him and headed towards his car.

Mu Zhi did not struggle. Her legs were obsequiously following Lu Jinye until they got into the car. When Lu Jinye handed Mu Zhi a paper towel to wipe off her tears, Mu Zhi’s smile came back onto her face.

“Honey, thank you for wiping away my tears for me.”

Mu Zhi almost instantly recovered to how she used to be before him, but Lu Jinye noticed that she had lost the tenderness on her face.

Mu Zhi stared at Lu Jinye and bit her lip. This was the first time Lu Jinye had left her hanging.

In the past, the both of them were an absolutely qualified loving couple.

She was responsible for obediently pleasing him, while he was responsible for doting on her.

“Honey, I was wrong.”

Mu Zhi cheered for herself inside to muster up her courage. She adjusted her voice to a gentler, almost coquettish tone.

“What did you do wrong?”

Lu Jinye turned around to look at Mu Zhi, his eyes full of apathy.

“Wrong… In having contact with Lu Junnian.”

Mu Zhi bit her lower lip, thought for a second and responded.

“Did he hug you?”

Lu Jinye stared at Mu Zhi and asked even when he had already known the answer.

He had seen Mu Zhi in Lu Junnian’s arms when he came out of the manor.

Mu Zhi nodded.

“Did he kiss you?”

Lu Jinye asked again, with a tone cold as frostbite.

Mu Zhi nodded again.

Although she was not willing, Lu Junnian still kissed her!

“How did he kiss you?”

When Lu Jinye finished his sentence, he pinched Mu Zhi’s chin and brought her close to him. His lips came straight onto Mu Zhi’s.

The kiss was intense and punitive. Lu Jinye had never experienced such strong yearn to possess somebody.

He forcibly opened Mu Zhi’s lips and teeth in their shimmy. He even pulled Mu Zhi’s skirt away and put his hand in.

Lu Jinye had never acted with such violence before. Mu Zhi trembled with fright. She closed her eyes tightly and tried hard to bear with it.

Her eyelashes shivered, tears started to stream down her face. As Lu Jinye’s hand slowly penetrated into Mu Zhi’s skirt, he asked again in anger.

“What about this place? Did he touch after we were together?”

Mu Zhi promptly shook her head.

“What about before? Was he the man who popped your cherry before me?”

This sentence made Mu Zhi’s body shake.

That man… She didn’t know who he was.

She bit her lip and shook her head again.

But obviously, Lu Jinye was skeptical of her. He fixed his eyes on Mu Zhi. Mu Zhi stared into his eyes, gritted her teeth and insisted, “It wasn’t him, really, I don’t know who it is, I don’t know. I was at the hotel…”

Before Mu Zhi could finish, her phone rang.

It was Jian Xiaoning.

Mu Zhi glanced at it and did not answer, but Jian Xiaoning kept calling as if it was something urgent. Finally, Lu Jinye got up, let go of Mu Zhi and ordered, “Answer the phone.”

Mu Zhi hesitated, grabbed her phone and answered the call. She lowered the volume to the minimum.

An adorable voice came from the other end of the phone. It was Mu Zhi’s daughter, Xiaomu. Mu Zhi took a deep breath to calm her fright.

She gently raised her head and checked Lu Jinye out. He seemed to have not paid attention towards her phone call. So Mu Zhi responded softly, “Yes, what’s the matter? Did you miss me?”

“Yes! Mumu misses mommy!”

Just as Mu Xiaomu continued talking, Jian Xiaoning came just in time to answer the call.

“Hey, Xiaomu, why did you steal godmother’s phone again?”

Jian Xiaoning nagged as she told Mu Zhi, “Mu Xiaomu has missed you so much these days. I haven’t seen you for a long time either. How are you?”

“I’m… good.”

Mu Zhi turned to Lu Jinye with her eyes again before answering.

“Good to hear.” Jian Xiaoning hesitated for a while before continuing, “Hey, do you know that someone picked up Madam Xu Changshu at the hospital today? I just learnt that Xu Changshu had been a mistress for many years, and Lu Junnian had been an unrecognized bastard.”

Jian Xiaoning seemed to have the intention to continue, but Mu Zhi looked at Lu Jinye who was beside her. She felt uncomfortable discussing this in front of him, so she cut Jian Xiaoning off, “I am with my husband now. I will call you back later, I’d like to accompany my husband first.”

As long as the word ‘husband’ was mentioned, Jian Xiaoning and Mu Zhi seemed to have a tacit agreement beforehand.

Jian Xiaoning said goodbye and hung up directly.

When Mu Zhi turned around and looked at Lu Jinye again, Lu Jinye’s anger seemed to be mollified.

But his eyes were raised and threw his gaze outside. Lu Junnian hadn’t left since Mu Zhi and Lu Jinye got into the car, and he had been watching from a distance.

It was not too far away.

Lu Jinye commanded Mu Zhi, “Moan.”

Lu Junnian lit a cigarette. The flickering light flashed in the darkness, and his eyes were fixed on the car in front of him.
