From A Prisoner To A Big Short’s Inheritor

Chapter 8

Chapter 8

It was unlucky for Kenia to have such a father.

Seeing Willie didn’t welcome him, Leonard didn’t want to stay there any longer. He comforted Kenia with a few words and got up to leave.

“Leonard, stay here for lunch,” Flora said.

“Thanks, but I still have something to do.”

“Let him go,” Willie snorted coldly.

“After getting out of prison, he doesn’t find a job. He is a loser who doesn’t do anything every day!”

Leonard didn’t bother to argue with him. When he opened the door, he almost bumped into the person who was coming.

It was Judy.

Seeing Leonard, Judy was taken aback for a moment. She smiled and said, “Leonard, thank you for yesterday.”

“My pleasure.”

Leonard nodded and walked into the elevator.

Willie was ungrateful.

If it wasn’t for his aunt, Leonard wouldn’t come here.

After Leonard left, Judy walked into the room.

Chapter 8 “Judy

Seeing Judy, Willie showed a smile.

Judy’s father ran a company, and Willie was willing to let his daughter make friends with her.

“Judy. Kenia called Wilder several times, but no one answered. You have a good relationship with Wilder. Can you call him and ask what happened!”

Judy shook her head with a wry smile.

“Mr. Barton, Wilder didn’t even answer my calls, and his friends also seemed to have disappeared. I couldn’t figure out what happened.”

“What’s going on? If something happens, he can tell us. Why didn’t he answer the phone?”

Willie felt a little regretful.

Wilder would be a good son–in–law, and if Kenia couldn’t marry Wilder, Willie would not be reconciled.

“By the way.”

Judy suddenly patted her head.

“I heard from Wilder that he will go to Southfort Street to see the antique exhibition the day after tomorrow. We will find

him there.”

“Mr. Lambert’s antique museum?”

Willie suddenly became excited.

“Mr. Lambert is the president of the Newden Chamber of Commerce. This antique exhibition is held by him, and many big bosses will go there. Let’s go have a look.”

“Okay.” Judy smiled.

Kenia had some hesitation in her eyes. “Since Wilder doesn’t want to answer the phone, wouldn’t it be a bad idea for us to come to him?”

Willie’s face turned ugly.

“What’s wrong with it? We’re going there for antiques, not for him. We just meet him by chance.”

Willie knew that Kenia was proud, so he deliberately said that.

Sure enough, Kenia nodded. “Alright.”

Leonard went back to Shoal Manor angrily

As soon as he returned to the gate of the villa, he saw a sports car parked there.

Before Leonard stepped forward to check, the car door opened, and a young man in a leather jacket came out.

“Eagle, why are you here?

“Don’t you feel hot to wear a leather jacket in summer?”

Eagle’s name was Ernest Griffin, He was a top king of soldiers in Griffinland, proficient in various firearms, and he was extraordinarily strong.

But because of the massacre of prisoners of war, he was imprisoned in Iron Penitentiary in Corwyn City for half a year.

When Eagle just entered the prison, he was very arrogant, but after he was hanged from a tree by Leonard and beaten for three days, he became obedient ever since.

When he saw Leonard, he acted as if he saw his own father.

In Leonard’s eyes, Eagle was a snobbish person.

“Leonard, when I heard that you were released from prison, I rushed over to welcome you,” Eagle said.

Eagle was cold in front of outsiders, but in front of Leonard, he would always be snobbish.

He came in front of Leonard, and the next moment, he stretched out his hand to grab Leonard quickly.

Leonard shook his head.

Eagle hadn’t changed at all, and he still liked to attack Leonard secretly, but he was far behind Leonard’s level.

Leonard dodged the attack and then punched out. Eagle’s body instantly bowed, like a fired missile that flew backward and hit the wall behind.

Leonard clapped his hands and smiled disdainfully, “You haven’t changed at all.”

Eagle got up from the ground in a hurry. He smiled and said, “Leonard, you are still so powerful.”

“Come in,”

Leonard opened the door of the villa, and Eagle followed him in.

Eagle took off his leather jacket.

There were all kinds of firearms hanging inside, and when the jacket was thrown there, it made a loud noise.

“Don’t you never leave your gun?”

“I keep the gun with me to guard against others. In front of you, it doesn’t work if I carry a howitzer.”

“Tell me, why are you here?” Leonard asked.

Immediately, Eagle’s expression became serious, and he pushed an envelope in front of Leonard. novelbin

“Leonard, I have recommended you to the military department to be the chief instructor of Eagles Corps.

“As long as you are willing to join, Eagles Corps‘ strength will improve a lot…”

“I’m not interested,” Leonard interrupted him directly,

“Leonard…”

“You can leave.”

Leonard narrowed his eyes.

Eagle stared at Leonard’s face and waited for a long time. When he was sure that Leonard had made up his mind, he sighed.

“I’ll leave the letter here. You can join at any time.”

After finishing speaking, he walked out of the villa and drove away in the sports car.

The moment when Eagle got into the car, in the other direction, an off–road vehicle suddenly stopped.

Arlene Wilson opened the car door with a look of astonishment and walked out.

“Is that Eagle? He is a legend in the army, known as the King of Specops. Does he live here?”

While Arlene was shocked, there was excitement in her eyes.

“I have always hoped to get advice from Eagle, but he is a mystery, and his level is too high, so I don’t have the authority to check it. I didn’t expect to meet him here.”

On the third day.

Leonard asked Rex to take him to Southfort Street, halfway to Fox Bank.

This was a private bank jointly established by several heads of financial conglomerates in Griffinland to provide savings and property custody services for super–rich customers.

They did not accept people with assets below 200 million dollars.

Leonard had come into contact with a head of a financial conglomerate in prison, who opened an account for Leonard. Moreover, the wealth obtained by Leonard in prison was stored in the vault of Fox Bank through that person’s hands. Leonard came today because he wanted to put this painting in the vault and get some cash by the

way.

Since Waylon intended to make friends with Leonard, he might not accept Leonard’s money, so Leonard prepared some cash that Waylon couldn’t refuse.

This was a tall building with big characters “Fox Bank” written on it.

There were many luxury cars parked at the door.

Leonard asked Rex to wait for him in the car, and he walked into the bank with the painting.

“Sir, what can I do for you?”

As soon as Leonard entered the hall, he heard a pleasant voice.

A beautiful woman in a black uniform looked at Leonard with a smile.

When Leonard raised his head, both he and the woman froze on the spot.

The woman was Emily Loftus, Leonard’s ex–girlfriend.

Leonard went to prison because of protecting her.
