Chapter 21: 21

Dharani POV

Bright sunlight hit my face. I opened my eyes and regretted my doing when I saw direct rays of sun

burning my eyes. I groaned and waited till my eyes adjusted themselves with the brightness. I turned to

my left to see my husband sleeping peaceful. Yesterday's event rushed into my mind. Akash introduced

me to the whole media as his wife, he honored me in stage. Then our romantic dance and our kiss. I

blushed. I can't believe he is the same Akash who used to torture me in past. I hate myself for not

hating him because it is clear that I already fell for him in the first sight, on our marriage. Call me stupid,

but I have to keep my feelings in bay. This feeling will definitely break my heart once again.

But one thing is sure, I can't forgive him easily. He has to work hard for my forgiveness. My heart says

he will definitely win my heart before our divorce time.

Since the last two days he was never angry at me. He was trying his best to make me comfortable

around him. Now I'm a little comfortable being around him.

I stood up to go washroom for getting fresh. Then I went downstairs for making breakfast. Shanthi maa

didn't return yet.

Akash got ready and came downstairs for breakfast.

Wow he is looking more handsome in business attire.

Shut up you women! My inner voice scolded me.

He sat at the dinning table and I serve him silently.

"Angel" he called and I looked at him immediately.

"Sit and eat with me. From today onwards, you will eat with me" He told and I nodded at him and sat

beside him.

"Angel" he called once again.

I like it when he calls me Angel. It makes butterflies burst out in my stomach.

"Yes" I looked at him.

"You are an excellent cook. I think I am going to become fat soon" he said and pouted. I coughed out

and looked here and there.

Seriously he pouted at me!! I looked at him and smiled.

"Thank You" I told him shyly and he smiled at me widely. He kissed my forehead and bid bye leaving

for office.

I sighed and sat in the living hall watching tv. After 2 hours I went to prepare lunch. Just then the door

bell rang. I saw dad (Akash's father) at the door smiling at me sadly.

"Dad, please come in" I welcomed him.

We walked sat on the coach. I could sense the seriousness in the air but I tried to keep it on the bay.

"How are you dharani?" Dad asked me.

"I am fine Dad" I said to him.

"Are you happy with Akash?" Dad asked me suddenly. I was stunned.

Oh god, what will I answer now?

I silently looked at Dad but didn't said anything. Dad sighed sadly "Last time when I visited you, I

thought you are happy with Akash. I thought you two will make a great pair" he said sadly and I looked

down. I don't know what to say.

"You know why I got you married to Akash?" I nodded my head in a 'no'.

"One day I saw you going to a temple. I saw an old woman meeting with an accident but nobody tried

to help her her. Everyone were simply watching, but you beta, you made your way towards her. You

helped that woman and took her to the nearby hospital and payed for her treatment. You even shifted

the lady to a old age home. I was mesmerized by your soft heart as well as touched by your

gentleness" Dad told and looked at me proudly. I was shocked.

"I thought you would be perfect for my son. I thought my son will also like you. I collected all information

about you and I was shocked to find out that your father is my close friend. Since they died in accident,

you had to live in your uncle house. I even investigated about your uncle and came to know that he is a

cruel money minded man. I knew how much brutally your uncle treat you, so I was determined to make

you my daughter-in-law and free you from that hell. So I gave some money to him and got you married novelbin

to Akash"

"Yes, your father is my friend " he said and I looked at him with tears in my eyes.

"I thought if Akash would marry you, you both will make a great pair. You are just like my wife, caring

and loving. Akash's mother was also very open minded women and had helping tendency. So I thought

I take the correct decision to getting you married to Akash, but I was wrong. I never thought that he will

go to such extreme. I am ashamed of him and myself" he said whispering the last part. I looked away

to hide my pain.

"No dad its not your fault. I understand that you wanted to free me from my uncle's torture and I am

thankful for you dad" I said to him.

"Dharani, if you want to divorce Akash, I will help you. But beta before that please consider him. Now

he is changing and I can see that. When his mother died, he was a very little boy. He is mumma's boy.

When my wife unexpectedly died, our happy world was shattered. I was depressed myself and I failed

to console my little boy. I left him and only concentrated on my business. I was never there for him

when he needed me the most. I failed as his dad. Shanthi took care of Akash. Then he grow up to

become an arrogant man. He can't even control his anger. He listens only to Shanthi. I forced him to

get married. He didn't want to get married. I kind of blackmailed him saying If he doesn't marry you, I'll

snatch his CEO post and the company from him. That's the reason, he agreed to marry you" Dad said

with guilt while I tried to process all this information in my mind.

"Please forgive me Dharani, for what Akash did to you. But please give him just for one last chance, for

my sake" Dad said joining his hands with tears in his eyes .

"Dad, please don't cry. I already gave him a chance, but I didn't tell this to Akash. I can see him trying

to change his character. He has to win my heart before our divorce date, otherwise I will leave him

Dad" I said to him.

"I am sure Dharani, he will definitely win your heart" Dad said proudly.

"Dad, can I ask you a question?" I asked Dad.

"Ask me " Dad said.

"How do you know that Akash tortured me?" I asked him.

"Shanthi told me everything, She is like a sister to me. She never hides anything from me" Dad said to

me.

"And yesterday I saw the news, how my son was looking at you lovingly in party. I can see love in his

eyes and that's the main reason, I trust him. I am sure he will never hurt you Dharani . I promise you

beta" Dad said.

"I trust your words Dad" I said to him.

"Ok Dharani, I have to leave now. I have an important meeting. Please don't tell Akash that I knew

about his past behavior. I don't want my son to be ashamed of himself. He has been a great son

always, but I don't know why he behaved so cruelly with you" Dad said. I nodded my head.

"Dharani, my son told the media that you are his lucky charms. So wish me best of luck because I have

an important meeting now" Dad said teasingly.

I blushed. "Best of luck dad!" He laughed at me.

"Dad, please stop teasing me" I said shyly.

"Oh, forgive this old Dad of yours" he said with admiration in his eyes.

"Ok, take care. See you soon" Dad said and went off.

Nowadays I am really happy because I got mom's love from Shanthi maa and dad's love from my

father in law. My brother also started loving me and moreover Akash also said he loves me. But I don't

trust him now, how he suddenly loves me. I hope he will make me trust and love him. I sighed and went

to kitchen for making lunch.

Akash POV

Today I was really tired. I had to attend meetings continuously. Now I just want to go back home, to my

Angel. I want to see her big doe eyes.

Suddenly my PA come. "Sir, someone named Avinash wants to talk to you."

Avinash? What does he want to talk to me?

"Ok, send him inside" I said to him.

"Can I come in?" I heard Avinash saying.

"You are my brother in law. No need to ask my permission Avinash" I said and he smiled at me.

"So what do you want to talk to me?"

"Yesterday I saw in the tv news, how you introduced Dharani as your wife to the whole world. Thanks

for giving respect and honor to my sister" he said.

"I don't understand one thing. Why are you thanking me? I didn't do any big deal. She's my wife and I

introduced her to the whole world. That's it, its very common matter" I said causally.

"I know its a common matter for you, but its a very big matter for me. Yesterday, I saw first time my

sister cry in happiness and not in pain. So its really a big matter for me" Avinash said with tears in his

eyes.

"Avinash don't forget that she is my wife, my Angel. From now she will only cry in happiness. I know

that my deed in past is making you think of me like that. I can understand but please trust me. I am

changed and I will never hurt your sister" I said sincerely to him. He smiled wiping his tears.

"You love her a lot right Akash?" he asked me.

"More than anything else in the world" I answered immediately.

"So Avinash, can you take divorce case back? I can't live without my angel" I pleaded him.

"Akash, I understand you. No one can love my sister like you do, so just make her love you back. I

know she will be happy only when she's with you." I smiled.

"But I am not going to withdraw the divorce case because its Dharani's decision. She only has to

withdraw the case if she wants and if she wants proceed further with divorce, I will support her

decision" he said to me and I nodded at him.

"Avinash, thank you for forgiving me." I told him.

"I would not forgiven you but I also committed the same mistake of hurting Dharani, so I forgive you

Akash." I can understand his feelings, how ashamed he felt because I also do regret it as much as he

does.

"Ok Akash, now I have to tell you an important news. Tomorrow is your wife birthday" he said and I was

stunned.

Wait! What? Tomorrow is my angel's birthday! God I didn't know that! My Angel also didn't tell me.

'You idiot, why will she tell you? Your single stare makes her fear and run away from you, my inner

voice scolded me.

"Thanks for informing Avinash" I said to him.

"Its ok man, I have to go now" We hugged each other and he went away.

God I have very less time. I have to prepare birthday surprise for my Angel. So what will surprise her? I

know nothing about my Angel. I only know that she is very good at heart, she is a very simple girl, she

never wears jewellery , she neither wears make up nor any fancy dresses.

'You stupid Akash! It's because no one bought her anything like that earlier, so how can you say she

don't like dresses, jewellery?' my mind voice scolded me.

You are right. Her tauji treated her really bad and I am sure he never brought or gifted her anything

other than pain. That bloody bastard! Soon I will make his life living hell. I will definitely take my

revenge from him. I vowed myself. Till now my angel actually had no one to share her feelings with or

anyone who would take care of her. But now, I'm here, her husband. I promise you, my Angel, I'll make

every day of yours a heaven.

I got an awesome idea to surprise my Angel. I grinned at my thought and called my PA, informing him

to make arrangements for my Angel's birthday.

But now I don't want Angel in our home since I am going to make surprise arrangements plan in my

house.

Idea!!

Its 12:30 pm, I know my Angel is making lunch for me. So I called. "Angel, bring our lunch to my office.

We will have it together here. I will send a driver to pick up you " I called and told her.

Wait for my surprise Angel! I'm sure you will love it. I was grinning like an Idiot.

What would she do seeing my surprise?

'Will she kiss me?' My heart ask.

'Kiss you? She will slap you' my mind said.

'Will she hug me?' My heart asked again.

'Hug you? She will kick your ass' my devil mind said.

'Shut up you both, heart and mind!' I scolded them both.
