Sofia’s current state made Ellie hysterical. She looked at her swollen, red lips, her ripped dress, and the bite mark on her collarbone that had broken the skin, teeth marks apparent.
Ellie drew a sharp breath, this woman was a nightmare that she could never forget.
Ellie and Finley had known each other for a long time, and although Finley had cared for her as if she were his own sister, she had never treated him as her brother.
She loved him, but he had no feelings for her.
However, Ellie was well aware that Finley did not have any girlfriends. She knew that he had orchestrated a trap for the Campbell family, and Sofia had been the entry point for his plan.
Ellie reassured herself countless times that Finley was just using her as a tool for revenge and that she had nothing to be jealous of.
However, Ellie couldn’t help but notice the growing
complexity in Finley’s eyes whenever he looked at Sofia. She saw the genuine tenderness he occasionally showed to her and their intertwined hands on every picture posted.

As the door to the nearby room swung open, Finley emerged, taken aback by the sound of two women arguing in the hallway. It was unusual for him to bring a woman here, as this place was usually quiet and serene.
The moment Ellie saw Finley come out, her eyes were rimmed with tears and she cried out, breaking away from Sofia’s hand.
“Finley, help me!”
She looked at Sofia in horror and backed up against the wall.

Finley’s expression darkened as he shielded Ellie from Sofia.
Sofia laughed bitterly, she didn’t have to explain herself.
Instead, she turned around, and Finley’s deep, cold voice came from behind her. “Sofia, this is your one and only warning. If I see you do anything to her next time, I will have you killed.”
Sofia stopped in her tracks but didn’t turn around, and she continued towards the elevator room.

She didn’t even try to argue or explain because there was no need. No matter what was said, Finley would always think she was the one who mutilated his precious Ellie.
Finley looked at her retreating silhouette and his heart felt a series of complex emotions.
