Chapter 43: EPILOGUE (The Finale)

Everything’s set. The baggage was on the chopper already and my children were crying while holding

on their father. Daryl was looking at me darkly, his eyes were blank and angry at the same time. He

was holding both of his son in his arms but his gazes were all on me.

I looked at him too, but when I stayed looking at him for a while, he withdraws.

He knelt on Red and Blue and wiped their tears away. “I will be there soon.” I heard him whispered.

The wind was breezing wildly. It’s cold and the city lights beneath us is stunning. If only we are here to

enjoy the view – but we are not. We’re here to depart. I don’t care if he’s not going to be part of my life

again.

Well, I don’t plan of making him one.

I bit my lower lip. Didn’t I?

“We have to go loves.” I whispered and walked to them.

Daryl gazed at me quickly- but he looks at somewhere else immediately.

I don’t know why the heck I am affected that he’s upset with me. I shouldn’t care, right?

When my children were already on the chopper, I was the last to get inside.

I frowned when I couldn’t fit.

“What’s the meaning of this?” I asked and look back at Daryl.

He didn’t move, he is just watching us while his coat and necktie were being disturbed by the wind. He

looks damn hot alright.

“The chopper was made for the Pilot, sub pilot, and three passengers. The luggage was enough to fill

the gap of the weights of these kids” The Pilot said.

I stood there speechless. Does that mean, I will be left here?!

“Daryl!” I called unto him.

“Don’t worry you will go after them.” He said assuring, looking at me intently.

“You better!” I warned him and walked on the corner.

When the chopper was already flying. I waved goodbyes to my children and Julius.

When we’re left alone. I suddenly felt awkward.

“I am the father, Neysha. Why are you doing this to me?” He growled and whispered.

A cat caught my tongue that I couldn’t speak. Well, the pain that I had years ago made me do it. Well,

he doesn’t deserve it.

“We are done talking about this, Daryl. We don’t need to repeat again and again.” I said, facing my

back on him.

“You know I love you so much.” He whispered.

“Love? Is that love that I never saw you again after you fucked me countless of times on my parents’

house and then I never saw you again?” I asked sarcastically.

It seems like daggers were in my heart. Stabbing me from the blade of memories. novelbin

“Please understand that I was selfish back then. I- I never expected that, that very night you will carry

my children.” He said.

I don’t know if it was just my imagination that I heard some gasp. I neverminded if since I’m at the

verge of outburst of emotions.

“Yes, you were selfish! I should have known...I should have known t-that” I sobbed. “That you just

made me feel special for a purpose. And after you accomplished that purpose…you left me. You…

you’re such a jerk!” I said while my tears were streaming.

He stepped forward but I stopped him from getting closer.

“I have only ever loved you, Neysha.” He said.

I sobbed; I didn’t answer.

“I was forced to marry Cindy. But it’s also my fault because I was too weak to object my father.”

I looked at him. “I don’t know, Daryl. This is all pointless, nothing will change.” I said.

He fisted his hands and walked fast towards me he grabbed my wrist and pulled me for a hug. I don’t

know but I was crying even more.

“Please, baby. Give me time.” He whispered.

I closed my eyes and sighed. “Miss Cindy didn’t do something wrong to deserve this. You have made

your choice years ago and this is not for you and me.” I said while sobbing.

He didn’t respond.

So, I raised my head.

“Cindy knew everything.” He whispered.

“We are officially divorced…3 years ago.” He whispered that made me widen my eyes.

“Stop lying to me!” I shouted.

He bit his lower lip.

“Yes baby. Cindy and I were divorced. She made a scene for this purpose.” He said.

And after 2 minutes, I can hear some clicking of the camera from below coming up from where we are.

I let go of the hem of my white dress to see. My eyes widen upon seeing those reporters below. They

were all smiling.

“I can’t believe that there’s something like this!”

I heard the head of the team said.

“What’s the meaning- “I didn’t continue when I turned to Daryl, he was leaning in front of me. With a

ring.

I scooped my mouth and stepped aside. W-what is this.

“Sorry if it takes drums of your tears and countless of heartaches before this very moment, but please,

Neysha. Marry me and let’s start together again.” He said.

The crowed was cheering on him. The cameras were following my every breath. Damn.

“IT SHOULD BE YES!”

“YES!!YESS!!”

“GO MISS!!”

Those were the words I can clearly hear.

I looked down on Daryl once again.

“Please, Ney.” He whispered.

I gulped and closed my eyes.

He was my best friend, he was the father of my children, he’s kneeling on me now and the people who

hated me moments ago were cheering for me now.

This man in front of me is the reason of my suffering years ago. He’s the reason why I cried and went

this far right now.

But my heart.

Why does is this beating this hard?

I closed my eyes and sighed. As the audience dance with the rhythm of my breaths.

“Yes, Daryl. Yes, I’ll marry you.”

He explained to me everything after that night. He said that Cindy likes him a lot back then but when he

didn’t shared feelings with her, she got hooked with another man making her in love.

That was their foundation of divorce. The NPK COMPANY was named after me- Neysha Phoebe

Kwon. It was such a big revelation and slowly. Little by little, he’s removing those doubts inside my

heart.

It has been years since that happened and I still couldn’t forget.

Looking at the man beside me, I know I am addicted once again.
