Chapter 8

Emma gritted her lips and forced herself not to pass out here in such an shameful way.

She sat on the cold ground for a long time. She barely had strength.

Emma stood up against the wall with her teeth clenched, and walked out of the lane unsteadily.

When the cold night wind blew, Emma felt particularly cold and she felt something wet on her legs. She

looked down and saw that her skin was covered by blood.

Emma smiled sadly and suddenly felt that the world was meaningless.

She didn’t want to keep tangling with Glenn...

Emma took a taxi to the hospital.

The doctor who performed her abortion before scolded her kindly, “You just had an abortion. You are

not supposed to have sex these days. Are you trying to kill yourself?”

Emma turned around her head with a wry smile. It was not herself who try to kill her, but Glenn.

She and stayed in the hospital for three days before getting out of bed and walking.

When leaving the hospital, her mother Belle called and asked about the money indirectly.

"Mom, there is a little problem with the money. It may take a few days..." Emma said.

Since Glenn forced her away from the bar, she didn’t finish the two dances that she promised the bar

manager. Therefore, she didn’t get any money.

"It doesn't matter, Emma. Forget about it. Don’t press too hard on yourself. I’m OK." Belle understood

her daughter.

Emma's nose suddenly turned sour. Her mother was the only person in the world who still cared of her.

She could not let her mother die of illness because of poorness.

“Mom, don’t worry, I will raise the money.”

After hanging up, Emma took a deep breath and took a taxi back to the villa that was belonged to her

before.

She didn't come back for a few days, and the villa was completely changed. The furniture was all

changed into the top international brands. Everything was full of luxury and delicacy. Even the original

servants were all changed.

It became Celia’s home.

"Emma, why are you back?" Celia came down from upstairs and pretended to be enthusiastic. "Why

don't you tell me earlier? I just had your things thrown away. After all, I don't use second-hand things."

Emma didn't bother to talk to her. She said directly, "Give me 30 thousand dollars. And I'll divorce

Glenn right away."

Celia glanced at her and said proudly, "Didn't you say you wouldn’t get divorced even if you die? Why

do you change your mind so soon?"

Emma frowned, “Cut the crap, will you give it or not?”

Celia smiled and walked to Emma, “I know you are in need of money to save your mother. If you want

30 thousand dollars, sure, just kneel down to me and I will give it to you right away.”

Emma looked at Celia coldly, she said, “If you don’t want to give me the money, I’ll go straight to Glenn.

But I just don’t know if he will be angry with me and then not agree to divorce me...”

Celia’s face emotion changed a little. She didn’t want Emma to have any contact with Glenn again.

“Fine, I’ll give you the money.” Celia agreed. She took Emma to the study and threw Emma a

document. “Sign it, and I’ll give you 30 thousand immediately.”

Emma looked down at the divorce agreement. Her heart still felt hurt.

But for her mother’s medical expenses, she picked up the pen and finally signed her name on the

document.

From then on, she had nothing to do with Glenn.

Celia happily put away the divorce agreement, and threw a check directly on Emma's face. The check

then fell onto the floor.

“Get out of here, Emma. Don’t bother Glenn and me any more.”

Emma endured the humiliation. She picked up the check and left the villa.

Celia looked at Emma fled and put the agreement away triumphantly.
