Early next morning, Rachel Stuart gets the call from Thomas Grey.
Rachel Stuart answers the phone in a daze, “hello...” her voice is drowsy.
The breathing on the other end of the phone suddenly becomes rapid.
Rachel Stuart frowns a little, then she continues, “who is it?” her voice is soft.
A light smile comes from the phone, “It’s me.”
It’s Thomas Grey.
Rachel Stuart sits up, “huh?” She gets her phone and checks the time, but it's only 6:30.
“Why are you calling so early?”
“I’m at your door.”
Rachel Stuart’s mind becomes blank for a moment, “what?”
“I say, I am at the door of your house.” Thomas Grey pauses, “Didn't you tell me to come to your home
today?”
“But I didn't ask you to come so early!” Rachel Stuart is anxious to get changes, “please, please wait a
minute, I'll get dressed and go down and open the door for you.” novelbin
“Take your time. I can ring the doorbell. I see your butler get up.”
“No! Don’t! Let me! You wait in the car for ten minutes, no! five minutes! I will go down in five minutes!”
But in the end, Rachel Stuart runs straight to the front door after three minutes. She opens the big iron
door with heavy decorative patterns. She looks around and sees Thomas Grey in full suit, who is
standing next to his car. He is looking at her from afar. His eyes are full of smile like sparkling stars.
Rachel Stuart has to admit that Thomas Grey is really, really handsome.
Rachel Stuart walks over, but before she could speak, he holds her in his arms.
Thomas Grey holds her tightly and presses his chin against her neck, whispering, “I didn't hug you all
last night.”
“You......You let me go first.” How embarrassing would it be if her family come out and see them!
“Just let me hug you for a while.” Thomas Grey whispers in her ear, “Just a little while.”
Rachel Stuart is a little uncomfortable, but she isn’t willing to push him away, so she just stands there
and lets him hold.
But after a while, something weird happens.
Rachel Stuart’s cheek is burning. She pokes at him, “Don't hold it against me, take it back!”
Chuckles ring in her ear, “honey, I can't help it. He really likes you so much that he wants to salute you
as soon as he sees you.”
Rachel Stuart snaps and bites him in the chest.
“Stop! Stop! I have to wear it to see my father-in-law. It won’t look good if your mouth water leaves a
mark on it.”
Rachel Stuart wants to beat him.
Autumn has come for several months. It is still a bit chilly in the morning. Rachel Stuart's hands and
feet become cold after she stays outside for a while.
Thomas Grey holds her hand, “Shall we go and sit in my car?”
Rachel Stuart rolls her eyes, “Why you come so early?” In spite of accusing him, she follows him
straight into the car.
But as soon as she gets into the car, Thomas Grey holds her up and makes her sit on his legs.
