Her Freezing Heart

Chapter 15- Cassidy

Chapter 15- Cassidy

I haven’t this type of energy before. Why can’t I see it? I moved into the clearing against my better

judgement with Grayson by my side. We can’t afford getting separated as we can’t see the force of our

distress. I have no idea how they will react seeing us in their territory. Alec ran towards Amara and tried

to pick her off the floor. Apparently he couldn’t see them either but the twins were looking at different

direction, at least six to seven feet higher than the ground and they looked scared. So they can see

those spirits then. The twin’s sharp intake of breath stopped Grayson and I in our tracks. I can feel

unseen eyes on me.

“Alphas I can explain.” Caleb said bowing his head.

“WITCH” A voice shouted making the twin’s knees buckle.

Alec whimpered and pulled Amara close to him, looking widely around him for the source of the voice.

Carter and Caleb seemed to be unable to speak anymore. Amara on the other hand looked to be on

the verge of passing out. We can’t afford that, can we now? She might go into a coma again and I don’t

think she will wake up this time. The damage seems to be more than last time. Time to take matters

into my own hands.

“Alpha.” I started in clear voice but inside I was trembling. One wrong word and I am dead. “We came

with Amara.” I knew those spirits were looking at me from the chills I felt. “She needs help. I need to do

something before she slips into coma again. Your pre_”

“Again” The spirit spoke in shock and sadness but the voice was different this time.

Two then. I got to get to the point fast.

“Yes. She was out for three days. Please believe me. I came here with her to help her. If she slips into

coma now, I don’t think she will wake up again.” From the shocked gasps, I knew everyone was

listening. “I need your help in this.”

“If you are lying to us witch, we will tear you to pieces.” The stronger voice said in a dangerously low

tone.

“I am not lying. I need to help her before it is too late.” I said a little irritated.

“Don’t you use that tone with me witch.” He said maliciously. “I am an Alpha and I will tear you to pieces

if you step out of bound.”

To tell you the truth, I am scared shitless.

“So are we agreeing on working together? You got to decide fast so I can work on it.” I said keeping my

voice as steady as possible.

Grayson squeezed my hand in reassurance but I knew from his aura, he was as scared as me. Maybe

more. Okay don’t laugh now Cassidy. That Alpha will tear your booty apart.

“Fine.” The stronger voice said and with that their forms started to materialize in front of my very eyes.

I gasped in surprise. In simple words, those two are magnificently beautiful. They looked bigger than

the average werewolves, a little bigger than the alpha itself. They were shining so brightly that it looked

like a golden light is surrounding them. They ooze respect and frankly deserve it. How have I never

came into contact with such beautiful creatures? Well I should stop gawking for now or they might get

angry again. I will have plenty of opportunity to do that later.

“I need to check her.” I said pointing at Amara. One of them nodded and the other huffed in response.

Oh well! “Well last time, frankly speaking, I didn’t have any idea how to cure her as she is a human but

I felt a presence of a spirit around her that healed her a little and she came around.” I said checking

Amara’s vitals. Her eyes seemed quite unfocused but she was still wake and whimpering now and

then. Caleb had pulled Alec away from Amara and consoling his trembling self. Alec was crying and

looking at Amara and the spirts now and them. “So I was thinking… maybe… if… I don’t know how to

say this…”

“Just spit it already.” The wolf on my right snapped.

Not a fan of me are you. I could see Grayson glaring holes in the wolf who snapped at me. I need to

know their names soon.

“Okay I will be a little bland here. I think Amara is not human.” The wolf on my right opened his mouth

or muzzle to speak but I continued talking. “But still rather weak at the moment. Either her powers are

not awakened yet or she is part human. That is stopping the effect of her mate’s misdeed to a point so

far but it is ceasing to work as she has very little fight left in her and being so near him is not helping

the case either. So I was thinking of giving her a little strength boost till her powers awaken completely

or till we figure out how to keep her alive.”

“And how are you going to do that?” The wolf on the left spoke with narrowing his eyes at me in

suspicion.

“This is rather hard but this is the only way I can think of looking at you two. I knew the answer was at

the cabin but it will be this good, I didn’t knew.” I could see those two getting impatient with every word I

spoke. “Oneofyouwillhavetobeherwolf.” I blurted out.

“What?” the wolf on the right snapped again. Someone has anger issues. “A little slowly would be nice.”

“One of you will have to be her wolf.” I said as slowly as possible.

There was a weird and awkward pause for a while where the spirit wolves looked at me like I have

gone mad but then they seemed to be talking in their heads with each other. The wolf on the right,

sighed irritatingly in what looked like defeat.

“I will be her wolf.” The one on the left said.

“Okay let’s begin then. Once you become her wolf, the process of the rejection and cheating from her

mate will stop. That is her heart will stop freezing and with time it will start healing. If we count on her

not being human, the process will be much faster and you being an Alpha wolf helps a lot in a positive

way. I don’t think she will be able to any sooner. She will need to see her one last time after you

become her wolf to start with the healing process and she will also know the cause of her pain making

her take actions in right direction. Off course I will help her with it as much as I can but you will be

dormant for a while till she heals. Afterwards I think you could talk to her. Do you know the process of

accepting to be a human’s wolf?” I explained.

“Yeah.” He said with purpose. “But the goddess doesn’t grant that kind of wishes very often.

“We will have to try first to know if she will grant the wish or not right. Okay let’s begin then.”

I hope this works. I have no possible idea of any other way for now and seem to be running out of time

as well. The Spirit alpha came in front of Amara and moved away from the place and so did the other novelbin

wolf spirit. We went a considerable distance away from them. Amara was curled up in front of the Alpha

spirit.

“Ego Alpha et spiritus lupi,” The spirit Alpha started in clear dominant voice. “eligere esse homini lupus

est, Amara Elaine Cross. Ad numen precor spiritus ut det mihi votum servare puellam hanc vitam

hominum.” (I, Alpha of the spirit wolves, choose to be the wolf of the human, Amara Elaine Cross. I

pray to the spirit goddess to grant my wish to save the human girl’s life.)

Nothing happened for a while but the Alpha remained in his position with his head bowed. All of a

sudden, they were surrounded in a golden coruscating light. It looked like they were set ablaze. A string

of glittering light connected the Alpha and Amara and it started sucking the Alpha inside it. It looked like

a suction cup that is sucking the alpha inside it and transporting him into Amara’s body. It was over as

soon as it began. The Spirit Alpha vanished and Amara lay on the ground glowing with the same

radiance the Alpha used to have. The radiance subsided inside her and she lay as still as a log. I ran to

check her pulse and her heart. I placed my hand on the area of her chest under which her heart resides

and found it to be half way frozen. Her pulse seemed normal. I am one hundred percent sure she will

wake up in a couple hours. The process has worked. I can save her now.
