Chapter 44: Epilogue

I tapped my foot nervously on the bathroom floor in anxiety. I am not ready for this. It’s been a year

since the fight with Vincent and his loonies. After we went back to the meeting house, we celebrated

our victory with a major party. Then it was time to go back to the college. I am going back to Greycoast

tomorrow for Christmas with Steven and Aaron. Austin is spending the Christmas with his new

girlfriend. Yup! He has found himself a very nice girl. Her name is Cloe and she is a hybrid, part

vampire and part witch. Her father is warlock while her mother is a vampire. She is a really sweet girl.

Her mate was a human. He died in a very brutal car accident. They are helping each other move on

from their past. They are just perfect together.

Leo and Stella had a little boy two months ago. Our adorable little alpha, Zeno. Riley, Stanley’s mate is

six months pregnant. Mia and Abigail are the only two that are not pregnant but it won’t be long. The

pack children are usually about the same age. The pack females will be popping left and right in no

time. Elena on the other hand gave birth to a beautiful baby girl in February. That’s why the Knights

kept her away from the battle as she was already pregnant. She was staying at Esterden with Jessica,

her mother and my birth mother. They named the beautiful angel Arabella.

Asher turned up at the pack lands a full month later. Leo told us that he looked terrible. Now he is trying

to make up for his mistakes. He is really taking care of his chosen mate, Olivia. She is the same girl I

walked in on him in his bed. She is really sweet actually. She was scared at first as this pack stuff was

really overwhelming for her and Asher didn’t really gave her a proper insight into the shifter world. She

is coping up fine now.

There are also two new spirit wolves. As the shifter family is growing, so are the spirit wolves. Ryder is

taking his responsibility more seriously now. Well as serious as he can. I hope he won’t get jealous of

the pups again. I mean who can ignore small pups running around with their chubby little feet.

The alarm on my phone brought me out of my thoughts. I looked at the stick on the counter and paled.

Shit!!! No. I can’t do this now. I have two more years of college left. How am I supposed to work

everything around? I am just nineteen. I can’t do this. I am freaking out at the moment. novelbin

“Amy?” Aaron knocked on the bathroom door. “What is the result?”

I started sobbing. What am I going to do? My life is over.

“Come out please. We can talk about it.” Aaron said knocking on the door loudly. “You are scaring me.”

Thank goodness Steven is not home. He has gone out with Austin to spend some boys time together

or that’s what he said. I washed my face and came out. Aaron took one look at me and pulled me in his

arms. I just couldn’t stop myself from crying. He pulled me towards the couch and let me cry in his

arms.

“Are you pregnant?” he asked in a hushed voice.

I nodded as a new wave of sobs took over me.

“Why are you crying? You should be happy. You are bringing a life in this world.” He said wiping the

tears off of my face.

“I don’t know what I am feeling. I am happy and terrified at the same time. I have two years of college

left and I am pregnant.” I explained.

“It will be alright. I am right here with you and you have Steven too.”

“What if he doesn’t want a child? I mean we just met an year ago. What if he is not ready to start a

family? What if I am not ready for this? What if I am not a good mother to this little bean?” I rambled.

“Hey you will be just fine. We won’t know what Steven thinks until you tell him right?” I nodded. “So

don’t think about it now. Besides it takes two to clap. If you ask me he will be ecstatic to be a father.

When you will hold the baby in your arms for the first time, you will forget everything and love the

munchkin with all your heart. I know that for sure. And the question about you not being a good mother.

You will be pretty good. You take care of people without any second thoughts and this is your own flesh

and blood, I don’t think the baby can have any better mother.” He finished looking at me smiling and I

was crying like a fool.

“Thanks Aaron. I needed to hear that.” I told him sobering up from my crying fit.

“I am going to be an uncle.” He said grinning at me making me laugh. “So who will be the god father?”

He looked quite serious when he asked that. Uh oh! Alec and Aaron are going to fight pretty bad over

it. I want them both to be the god fathers if that is possible.

“I want Alec and you to be the god father but that isn’t possible right.” I said nervously.

“I call dibs on this one.” He declared.

“Aaron that’s not fair.” I scolded him.

“I don’t care.” He said huffing.

“We will talk about this later. First I need to figure out how to tell Steven.” I said sighing.

I am scared of his reaction to say the least. What if he doesn’t want a child now?

“Don’t over think it just tell him.” Aaron suggested like it’s no big deal.

I was about to snap at him when the front door opened and Steven bounced in. I shut my mouth and

hid my face from him. He pulled me in his arms and kissed me on the lips. He looked at my face

carefully when I didn’t respond. I am a nervous wreck. I fumbled with my fingers and refused to meet

his eyes. My heart is beating like a drum. Aaron sneaked into the bedroom and locked the door behind

him. Traitor.

“Love are you alright?” Steven asked lifting my chin with his fingers.

I nodded biting my lip nervously.

“What is it Amy?” He asked sternly.

I feel like an errant child whenever he talks like that.

“Well… umm… you see…” I started.

“Yes?” He urged.

“Iampregnant.” I said in one breath.

“Love you need to say it slowly. I didn’t understand properly. You are starting to scare me.”

I took a deep breath. Here goes nothing.

“I am pregnant.” I told him looking at my hands.

Pin drop silence. Is he mad at me? Oh my god! What am I going to do? One thing is for sure. I am not

giving up my baby. I looked at him to find him frozen in place with his mouth hanging open. I am

starting to get mad at him now.

“Steven say something.” I snapped.

“I am going to be a father.” He said like he couldn’t believe what he was saying.

I nodded confused at his reaction. Next moment he was squealing like a little girl. He picked me up and

started turning me around in circles. He put me down on my feet and kissed me passionately.

“I am going to be a father.” He said resting his forehead on mine with tears in his eyes. “We are going

to be parents.”

I laughed at his antics.

“You will be round soon and I will enjoy teasing the heck out of you.” He said smirking.

I glared at him and started smacking him.

“Steven what about my college?” I asked stopping a mid smack.

“We will figure it out love. We need to see Cassidy first. I don’t want anything happening to our baby or

the mom.” He said circling his arms around me. “Who will be the god father?”

“I don’t know.” I replied.

“Austin will throw a major tantrum if he is not the god father.” He said kissing my head.

“So will Alec and Aaron. I just hope Ryder doesn’t decide to jump in as well.” I said to him shuddering.

“We will figure that out later. Let’s go to bed. We have a long flight tomorrow.”

I hummed.

“Good night Aaron.” I called out.

“Good night.” He replied from inside the bedroom. “I heard your discussion about the god father

situation. Just a heads up. I am not backing down.”

Steven laughed and pulled me outside of Aaron and mine’s shared apartment into his. I have been

sleeping here a lot lately. Who am I kidding? I sleep here all the time unless Austin stays over which is

not much.

“Good night love.” Steven said spooning me from behind.

“Good night.”

I snuggled closer to him and closed my eyes. That night I dreamed about Steven and I living in a house

surrounded by pleasant greenness. Steven was running around behind a toddler with reddish brown

hair and green eyes, a prefect combination of us.

That Christmas was the best in my life. In August I gave birth to our two beautiful angels. Yup! Twins.

Benjamin and Ethan. They are just perfect. We decided to name Austin as the twins god father. Thank

the heaven that Ryder didn’t decide to want to be a god father at that moment or it would have been a

war but after he saw the kids he was quite mad and now wants to be a god father as well. Aaron quite

graciously told me that I need to push three more children out of my vagina. Aaron, Alec and Ryder are

quite firm on wanting god children.

Ethan turned out to be a vampire and according to Leo he can sense the shifter blood in Benjamin.

That was quite a surprise but we can live with that. The most shock came with Arabella. As soon as I

saw her I knew she was my heir. Mom was right. It is about soul when it comes to the spirit walker, not

blood. When she is old enough, I will start training her.

Here I am sitting in the garden of our house on the hill near Greycoast with my five year old twins

running around with their father chasing them. My three year old daughter, Valentina is painting well…

her clothes and my one and a half year old, Elizabeth is watching her brothers and father run around.

“Come on guys. Lets get inside. It looks like it is going to rain.” I called.

My boys came running towards me. Steven picked the little munchkins off before they could jump on

me.

“What did I tell you about jumping on mummy?” Steven asked in a very tern voice.

“Not to.” Ethan and Benjamin mumbled looking down.

“And what were you about to do?”

“We were going to jump on mummy.” Benjamin said looking very sad.

“But we want to hug her too.” Ethan complained. “Why does only Elliott get to be with her? He is taking

our mommy away from us.”

Benjamin nodded making Steven sigh. Yup! I am pregnant. Again. Our little baby Elliott is due in a

month. As I am quite round by now, Steven instructed the kids to be careful but the boys just won’t

stop.

“Ethan, Ben, Elli is not taking me away from you.” I explained taking them in my arms as best as I

could. Steven was still supporting most of their weight. “He is so tiny now that he gets hurt easily just

like when Val and Beth were inside my stomach. You remember that don’t you?” They nodded. “You

don’t want baby Elli to get hurt do you?”

“No mommy.” They said in unison.

“That’s what daddy is telling you pumpkins. You can hug me but you just have to be careful. That’s all

daddy and mommy are asking from you.”

They nodded as I hugged them close.

“Like this mommy.” My little angel Valentina chimed circling her arms gently around me.

I nodded at her smiling. Elizabeth came running towards us and copied his sister grinning at me. This is

my world now. My babies, my pack and my mate, all in one place. I couldn’t ask for anything more.
