"I'm sorry Tyson but Jason already accepted it. We finalised it yesterday. Jason is the new CEO of the company!

It came like a bomb to Tyson.

"Wh.. what?" Tyson stuttered and clenched his fists. For the very first time, his ego was badly bruised and right now! It dawned on him that he had actually been a fool all the years past. He only loved partying and womanising but never thought of his future.

He was extremely lazy but this was a wake up call to him that his brother Jason had been stealing everything from him.

His father's love, the riches. Practically everything and all he wanted to do at that moment was to punch Jason for stealing such a golden opportunity from him. He had always done so, but now, he wouldn't give room for that anymore. Not at all.."

He would fight for his right like his mum had told him, it would be blood fight between both brothers for the throne because he's never ready to give up soon, not in any way.

"It's fine, Dad.." He smiled.

"I'm willing to be his assistant.." Tyson said.

"Huh?"

"Never. It's impossible. You will be the second runner of the company. You are going to fill in for Jason when he's not around or has urgent meetings in which he can't attend.."

Elle sat in the car and fixed her hair properly. The car's door opened and she came out of it with smiles. She was indeed beautiful to behold. She walked in.

When she got to the board room, she met no one there apart from someone sitting on a swivel chair, he was backing her so she couldn't see his face.

"Hello.." She greeted and he turned to face her. Elle's jaws dropped when she saw him.

He was looking more handsome.

"Does he get handsome daily?" She asked herself.

"What are you staring at? Sit.." Jason's cold voice interrupted her thoughts.

"Fine.." Elle said and took another seat beside him.

"First of all, why are you here? As far as I know you are not related to the company in any way.." Elle said with a light smile and Jason scoffed.

"First of all, your sly smile does not fool me and to answer your question, this is still my dad's company and I have the right to be here, rude psycho.." Jason said and Elle's eyes widened.

"Did you just call me a rude psycho?" Elle scoffed and Jason smirked.

"That's a beautifully endowed name given to you by name. You should be happy now. I rarely give presents to anyone.." Jason told her and then opened the bottle of water, then he took a sip from it.

"I don't your endowed name, Foolish maniac

"I don't accept such nicknames from people, especially people like you!" Jason glared at her and she returned the glare.

"Well, as far as I'm concerned, I have the ribr to say anything I want and I want to call you by this sweet name "Foolish maniac.." Elle smirked and Jason clenched his fists.

He was losing to her. He was losing to her again but he shouldn't lose to her, he could only lose to someone and that's his first love. Anytime they argue, he always loses to her.

"I won't appreciate you calling me that, Psycho.."

"And you should stop calling me that, Maniac.."

Jason chuckled dryly.

"I hate arguing with ladies like you, so full of themselves.."

"And me also. I dislike wasting my time on egocentric princes like you. You always have an ego to keep.." Elle spat out.

"You should stop arguing with me. Cause you are going to lose, Michael.." The words fell from her mouth freely and she gasped when she realised what she had said.

Even Jason's eyes were glued on her.

"Michael".

It was the name his late mum gave to him. She always called him Michael even if his dad and the others call him "Jason". His mum never called him that till she died.

And no one except his dad knew of that name, he only told one person that was close to his heart then. Asanel.

It was not even in his biography so how come this lady knew it.

"What did you just say?" Jason Adler and Elle gulped hard.

She knew she was in for trouble. She folded her lips and cracked her brain thinking of what to say. What excuse she could quickly make up!

"I.. I meant.."

Gosh! How would she explain herself now?

"Did you just call me Michael? How do you know that cause I never told anyone about it. Are you stalking me?" Jason rushed his questions and Elle sighed.

"I'm in a deep mess. Who would save me now?" She thought.

"I should just stop meeting Jason or my cover will ge blown up!" She thought again.

"I'm asking you for the last time? How do you know that name?" Jason asked again and Elle looked at him. He was looking so serious right now.

She was about to say when the door swung open and James, Tyson and some other people stepped in.

Elle breathed out in relief.

"Sorry for keeping you waiting…" James said and Elle stood up with a smile.

"Dad, you should keep to your time, you told me to be here by eight.."

"I'm really sorry, son.." James interrupted Jason.

"I only have 20 minutes more to go, you should hurry.." Jason stated and sat down. Tyson smiled and walked towards Elle. He pecked her cheek and then flashed her another smile before he walked to his seat.

Elle sat and the meeting commenced. As they discussed, Elle couldn't help but steal glances at Jason. She was getting afraid, if he had figured out some things.."

Meanwhile Jason was lost in thoughts. He remembered when he told Asanel that name. For the first time ever, he shed tears in front of someone. He missed his mum so badly. She was there to comfort and told him to smile always and anytime they argued.

She would always say that to tease him.

"You should just stop arguing with me because we all know you are going to lose, Michael.."

"You never an arguement against me, right Michael?"

Jason sighed again.

He had stopped thinking about her regularly and tried really moving on but recently, it's like there's something bringing him back to the past!"

The meeting was already over and the contract was signed already. They were all ready to leave but they were surprised when they all met bunch of reporters outside.

"We hear something very interesting, Danielle Browns, a popular model and CEO of one of the top companies here in New Zealand is partnering with the governor?"

"How true is it?" One of the reporters asked.

"Well, it's true that we are now partners and it's not only business wise. We are going to improve the city more.." That's a promise.

One of the reporters sighted Jason as he was about to leave and immediately asked him.

"Mr Madison, What are the plans regarding your wedding with Giselle.." He asked and Jason sighed.

He hated all this with passion. In the midst of all this, suddenly Elle saw that a red light on James' forehead. Her eyes widened and she gasped.

He was being targeted.

"No!" She yelled and pushed him off and then a gunshot was heard. Everywhere scattered immediately as everyone scampered for safety.

Jason's eyes widened when he saw Elle bleeding profusely. She was shot!

Tyson who also saw that hurriedly made his way to help her but before he could get there, Jason scooped her in his arms.
