Chapter 17

Chapter 17 It was a plan

Tyson who also saw that hurriedly made his way to help her but before he could get there, Jason scooped her in his arms.

It was then that he noticed that she was shot at her arm.

"Hey, Elle, look at me, don't close your eyes.." He told her but Elle couldn't hold it in again. Her eyes went shut immediately.

Jason felt his heart leap in fear. A feeling he had not experienced in years. He was very much concerned about her.

As he approached the car, Tyson hurriedly ran to him.

"I'll take of it.." Tyson said and Jason looked at him.

"What are you doing, Tyson?" James' voice was heard from behind.

"She took a bullet for me and now you are stopping him from taking her to the hospital!" James yelled at him.

Jason opened the door and dropped her in. He immediately went to the other side, entered the car and then drove off.

Later.

"She will be fine governor, we've succeeded in removing the bullet in her arm. She will be fine.." The doctor says and James nodded.

"Thanks a lot.." He said.

He opened the door and walked into the room. Meanwhile Jason stood outside, and watched her sleep peacefully.

"Thankfully, she's not hurt.."

"But why did she take the bullet for my dad?" He wondered and then he walked away.

James stood staring at her and for that moment, he was extremely grateful to her for what she did. She saved his life.

Elle's eyes fluttered open and she looked around almost immediately.

"Where am I?" She tried sitting up but then she felt a sharp pain in her arm and she groaned but still sat up.

"Be careful, your wounds haven't healed yet.."

"What happened?" She asked innocently and James sighed.

"Thank you for saving my life. I really do appreciate it!" James said and Elle nodded. She laid back on the bed.

'I'm just happy that you didn't get hurt, governor.." Elle replied.

"Your phone has been ringing for a while. It's your mum…"

"I'll leave you to it.." James said. Tyson walked in with a bouquet of flowers.

"I'll just talk to Elle.." He told his dad.

Elle forced out a smile when she saw him.

"Hey.." She called.

Tyson smiled and dropped the bouquet on the table nearby.

"How are you feeling now?" He asked and took her hand, caressing it gently.

Elle scrunched her face in disgust but quickly replaced it with another smile.

"I'm fine.."

"You shouldn't have done that.." Tyson scolded her.

"Done what?"

"It's better that the governor was safe. I'm glad that I was able to save him at least.." Elle muttered.

"Thank you.." He whispered and she smiled.

"I'll take you on a date when you get better.." He added.

"I would love to.." She said,

He stood up.

"I'll leave you to talk with your mum.." Tyson said and walked out.

Elle smiled when he was out of sight. She picked up her phone and dialed Mamita's number.

Lady red answered the call immediately.

"Elle, what happened? I just saw it on the news now! Are you okay? Why would you even take a bullet for that evil man? You should have let him die!" Lady red said and Elle sighed.

"Mamita, if I had wanted to kill him. I would have done so immediately when I came. I want them to feel the pain I felt when they murdered my parents!" She mumbled with clenched fists. Lady red sighed.

"I know, I just wanted you to be safe.."

"Mamita, I'm fine. I promised you and Kiera that I would take care of myself, right? And besides, I didn't intend on killing myself?" She mumbled again and a smirk appeared at the corner of her lips.

"What do you mean by that?"

"It was all my plan all along, Mamita.." She smiled more widely.

FLASHBACK.

Elle and Damien sat in the living room, planning their next move against the Madison's.

"We have to do something. I've succeeded in gaining Tyson's trust and I'm sure it won't be long until he falls for me but then the problem is James. We can't have him suspecting us. I need to gain his trust and also that of Lauren's. It would be easy for me to slowly kill them from the inside.." Elle said.

"So, what's the plan?" Damien asked.

"Actually, I didn't think of this before but this will be the best plan I have. I gain both Lauren and James' trust with this.." Elle smirked.

"And?"

"You know what if I take a bullet for James?" Elle asked and Damien stood up immediately.

"What the hell are you saying? You want to endanger your life because of them? Have you forgotten that your daughter needs you? What would I say to Mamita?" Damien asked angrily and Elle sighed.

"That's the problem, Dam. You use your heart too much and that becomes your weakness. I know all what you are saying is true and I'm not planning on getting myself killed, alright?"

"We can just stage that James was almost assinated but I took the bullet for him. It's just a plan. You can just shoot me in the arm, leg or anywhere that's not so vital!" Elle said and rolled her eyes.

"I'm certainly not in with you. I'm not going along with this stupid plan of yours!" Damien said adamantly.

"Oh really, I'm the boss here and I'm ordering you to do so. I promise I won't get hurt so badly.." Elle said and Damien sighed.

"Fine…"

"But once it gets too dangerous, I'm going to back out.." He warned and Elle nodded.

"Fine, it's fine with me.." She added.

"And one more thing, Mamita must not find out.." She said and he sighed and just sat on the chair without saying anything.

END OF FLASHBACK.

"it was all a plan and I'm fine now.." Elle said.

"I love that you are smart but you must not do anything like this again, or I'll ask you to forfeit your mission.." Lady red warned.

"Fine, Mamita.." Elle smiled.

"How's Kiera.."

"She's doing fine.." Lady red answered.

"Please don't let her know about what happened!"

"Okay.." She said and hung up.

Elle smirked.

"This is my first step to gain your trust James. I swear that I'll destroy you and your wife very soon, especially through your son.." Her eyes were reddened in rage.

Her phone rang again and she sighed when she saw it was Damien calling.

She answered the call immediately.

"Danielle, are you fine?" He asked immediately she answered the call.

"I am and would you stop fidgeting like a child.." She scoffed.

"Everything is working according to plan. I've managed to gain James trust and for Tyson, he's getting more whipped with me. When I make him fall head over heels for me, I'm going to dupe him.." She said and laughed. novelbin

"Just be careful.." He said and she nodded.

"Is anyone still in the hospital? I'm coming to pick you up!"

"It's fine, Dam. I'll come home on my own.."

"No, I'll come to pick you.." He insisted.

"Fine then, I think they all left, be fast.." Elle added and hung up the call.

Meanwhile, outside, Jason was in his car contemplating whether to go in and check up on her or not.

He was actually on the way to his office but then he couldn't help but get worried about her, he turned back in the middle of the road and he's at the hospital right now.

He just saw his father and Tyson leave not long ago.

"Gosh! Why am I even here?" He asked himself.

He sighed and then brought out a picture. A light smile escaped his lips as he stared at it. It was the picture of young Asanel smiling like she had no problem in the hall. His expression softened as he stared at the picture.

He actually took the picture when they went to the beach.

"Asanel.." He muttered and he caressed the picture.

"I miss you.." He said.

"Most times, I feel you are around again and she.." He paused.

"She's doing something to me. But I promised never to be shaken. I will only love you. You will forever remain special and no one will replace you in my heart.." He said and then kissed the picture.

He dropped the picture and then opened the car's door. He came out of it and then wore his sunglasses, then he walked into the hospital.

Soon he was at the door. He stood still and then knocked on the door.

"Come in.." Her soft voice came and he gently opened the door and then walked in.

Elle who had been staring at the pictures of her daughter, sat up, frozen by his sudden appearance.

Her phone almost fell from her hand but she grabbed it tightly.

"Hi.." He said and Elle smiled awkwardly.

"You are here.." She muttered and he nodded.

"How are you feeling now?" He asked.

"I'm fine.." She smiled and tried sweeping her hair forward but it was bulging. It was then it occurred to her that some strand of her was stuck in her zipper.

She struggled with it for some seconds while Jason just watched her.

Suddenly he blurted out the words he never thought he could say to someone! Ever!

"Can I help you with it?"

Elle looked up and gulped hard but she nodded anyways.

He walked towards her back and then gently unzip her dress a little and then arranged her back. Elle suddenly turned which their faces to be very close to each other.

Elle's heartbeat quickened and her breath hitched as he stared at her but then the door suddenly opened revealing someone.

Giselle eyes widened when she saw them in that position and she charged towards Elle Elle immediately.

"How dare you try to seduce my fiancee?"
