Chapter 8 Egocentric Prince

"Mummy.." The voice came again and Elle snapped at her reverie. She immediately picked up the phone and hung up the call.

Elle sighed and faced him. He was also staring at her in an odd way. Elle almost smiled, he was looking more handsome and he had that cold look on his face. Elle decided to break the silence.

"You bumped into me first, shouldn't you be saying sorry?" Elle asked with an expressionless look.

"And you should be always careful when walking, watch where you are going, Miss" Jason stated coldly and walked out.

Elle scoffed immediately.

"What the hell!"

She turned to him immediately.

"You really think you are special, huh. Egocentric prince. Your looks are just deceiving you.." Elle yelled at him immediately and turned to leave but suddenly she felt someone grab her forearm and she gasped.

It was Jason. He was glaring at her.

"You should never call me that again, Miss.." He added and then took her palm and then placed something inside it. He looked at her one last time and he walked away.

Elle scoffed. She didn't even bother to check what he placed in her palm.

"Whatever! I have the right to call what I want. Egocentric prince.." She said again and Jason paused. He closed his eyes but then he decided to ignore her. He opened his eyes and walked away.

His assistant immediately ran to him.

"Who's she, Jacob?" He suddenly asked and Jacob paused.

"S..sir.."

"I want to know who she is and why the hell she called an egocentric prince?!" He snapped at Jacob.

"I .."

"Boss, I think she's the CEO of LYELLE'S CORP!" Jacob said and he paused. He scoffed and resumed walking.

"Find out everything about her.." Jason stated and walked away while Jacob stood still wondering.

"Why does he want me to find out about her? Is he interested in her?" He asked himself.

"But come to think of it, she's the only one who dared to speak rudely to boss, the only one I know off. Boss must be so pissed right now.." Jacob added and chuckled.

Elle opened the car's door and entered it. What he actually placed in her hands was her car keys, maybe it fell when her phone fell also.

Elle sighed and closed her eyes when she remembered our their hands touched.

"Gosh! Snap out of it!" She scolded herself and turned on the ignition of her car. Her phone rang again and she smiled when she saw who was calling. She answered the call immediately and started driving

off.

"Princess.."

"I'm angry with you, mum. You hung up on me.."

Elle sighed.

"I'm sorry Kiera, something just came up.."

"Why? Did you meet someone special?" Kiera asked and Elle smiled.

"You are really a nut case princess.." Elle said.

"I miss you mum. When are you coming back?" Kiera asked.

"I'll be home soon, sweetheart and I missed you very much.." Elle smiled.

"Hope you are not giving Mamita problems?" Elle asked.

"She is. You know our your daughter is Elle, sometimes she doesn't want to take her pills.." Lady red's voice was heard.

"Oh! Really! Granny.." Keira's voice was full of disbelief and Elle chuckled.

"And how about I tell mum that you ve been eating excess cakes and sweets.." Kiera said and Elle laughed.

"Elle, please come back home soon and save me from your troublesome daughter, it's just a day and yet.."

"I'm sorry, Mamita. You just have to bear with Kiera.."

"Kiera, you must take your pills regularly. What if you have another attack again?" Elle scolded.

"I have my inhaler here.." Kiera laughed and Elle shook her head.

"That's not enough. You have to be always careful, sweetheart.."

"Yes mum.."

"Mamita, you should also stop taking sweets. You know it's not good for your health.."

"Fine, baby. I'll do that. Just take care okay.." Lady red said.

"I love you.."

"Don't forget to greet my hero for me. Tell him I love him also. Bye mum.." Kiera said and hung up the call.

FLASHBACK.

SEVEN YEARS AGO.

Asanel sat on the chair staring into space, her hands were caressing her stomach. Her baby's heartbeat was still not heard but she strongly believes that her baby is alive.

Lady red walks towards her.

"Asanel.." She called and she looked at her.

"Do you want to go for a scan? We can figure out if your baby is still in there or not.." Lady red said.

"I know, my baby is not gone. I really believe it but yes, I want to go for a checkup..." Asanel said with a smile.

Few hours later.

"So we did a scan and we found out that your baby is still there. We also heard its heartbeat today, though it's not that strong.. "

"Since you went through a lot of stress, your baby's in danger.." The doctor said and tears fell off her eyes.

"But my baby can still survive it, right?" Asanel asked.

"Yes, we will help you.." the doctor said and she smiled.

Elle smiled but then her smiles faded when she remembered Jason.

FLASHBACK.

"Mummy, when are you going to be back?" Kiera pouted and Elle kissed her hair.

"I'll be back pretty soon. I'm just going to stay there for a few months and come back to you.." Elle said and Kiera smiled.

"I love you mum.."

"I love my princess too.." Elle said and kissed her forehead.

"I need to get something from my room, I'll be right back, mummy.." Kiera said and ran out.

Lady red sighed and looked at Elle.

"Elle, now that you are going back. You are going to face Jason again. Will you tell him about his daughter?"

"His Daughter? She's my daughter, not anybody else. Mamita, I'm just going there to take my revenge and when I'm done, I'm coming back to stay with my daughter. Jason doesn't need to be part of us!" Elle said adamantly.

"But one day, Kiera will ask for her dad. What would you say about that and from what you told me, if Jason was aware that you got pregnant. He would take responsibility. Elle, you can deprive him of his child. She's his blood.." Lady red said and Elle stood up angrily.

"Mamita, please. You were the one who taught me this "Love is always a weakness to the rule of vengeance..". I'm doing that now. Please Mamita, don't pester me anymore.." Elle said. Lady red sighed and nodded then she hugged her.

"It's fine. I won't bother you about that.."

FLASHBACK ENDS.

Elle sighed.

"I'm sorry Jason. But I'll never tell you about your child. It's best you don't know.." Elle said and continue driving.
