Chapter 20

Xavier's POV

I woke up again to my nightmare. For the third time today. I checked the time and it was 7:13am. I

sighed and quickly went to shower.

When I went down everyone was having their breakfast. "Come on Xavier. Join us for breakfast."

Miguel invited me. I shook my head.

"I am going for a run." I said grumpily. "We will be living in 1 hour, Alpha." Nathan said as I nodded my

head. I went to the woods and took of my clothes and hid them.

I ran and ran until I crossed Miguel's land. I couldn't care. I just wanted to run and let out my frustration.

I stopped at a river side looking up at the sky.

Suddenly the wind hit my snout. I caught a scent that I couldn't believe. Scent of rose and vanilla.

Amelia's scent. It can't be. Without even realising I started following that scent.

I have never ran this fast in my life. I ran as fast my legs could bring. The smell just got stronger and

stronger. I couldn't let the scent go.

I stopped at a clearing. That is when I saw her. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. How is it possible?

She was picking flowers wearing a floral dress.

She had a grey hoodie that was full length. She lifted her head and gasped as she saw me. "You

scared me Wolfie." she said chuckling.

It was the same voice. "You look new. How did you get here?" she said slowly coming towards me. She

slowly put her hand out. I smelled her hand and it was her scent.

She started patting me. "You look huge. Bigger than any wolf I have ever seen anywhere near here." novelbin

she said making me confused.

How could she not recognise my wolf? Is this really my Amelia? I used my snout to push away her hair

and looked at her neck.

My mark was there. It was her. Then why doesn't she recognise me? Without waiting for a moment I

shifted. I shifted in front of her.

When she saw me shift, she let out a scream. I didn't understand why she was scared. "Amelia?" I

whispered softly.

"H-How do you know my name?" she asked in confusion. When she saw me naked, she quickly threw

her grey hoodie at me.

I used that to cover myself. When I turn back to her, I was confused. "I-Its me Xavier little one." I said

smiling softly.

"GRANNY!" She screamed and started running away. I stood there confused. Why was she running

away from me? I quickly started going after her, yelling her name.

She went inside a small cabin and closed the door. I started knocking the door. "Amelia open the door."

I pleaded her.

Soon an old looking lady open the door. I peeked inside and saw her hiding behind a wall. "Who are

you?" the old lady asked.

I looked at her and saw she had a concern look. I smelt she was a werewolf. "I am the Alpha King." I

said giving off my Alpha King aura.

She quickly submitted. "May I come in. Please?" I asked her. She quickly let me in. I started walking

towards Amelia but she just took a few steps away.

I looked at her hurt. The Amelia I knew, would never back away from me. She held love in eyes. Not

fear. There was a pang of pain in my heart.

The old lady went in and came back with some clothes and passed it to me. I grabbed them and went

into a room changed and came outside.

"Alpha King, would you like to sit down." the old lady offered. I slowly sat down in the couch. "Dear,

could you bring us tea?"

"My name is Doris Alpha King what made you come here?" she asked quizzically. "That's my mate." I

whispered "What happened to her? Why wouldn't she recognise me?" I asked scared.

"I don't know Alpha King. I am so sorry." she said giving me a sad smile.

"6 Months ago I found her nearby a river. She was so bruised up and had lost so much blood. I quickly

took her in and helped her recover."

"When she woke up, she couldn't remember who she is. She couldn't remember anything. All she

knows is that her name is Amelia." she explained.

"Does she know about us? Our Kind?" I asked her worried. She nodded her head. "Not much. Just a

few information." she stated.

"Why did she get scared when I shift?" I asked her confused. "She has never seen anyone shift

before." she said making me understand.

That is when Amelia came in carrying in a tea tray. She placed it in front of us and stood behind Doris.

Doris made her seat beside her.

"Dear remember the times I told you about my kind?" Amelia slowly nodded her head. "This is Our

Alpha King. Xavier Knight." she said with a small smile.

Amelia slowly nodded her head. "He is also your mate. Who have marked you." Doris said pointing

Amelia's mark. Her eyes went wide when she heard this.

"No, It can't be." she said shaking her head. "Does that mean I am one of you." she asked confused.

"No. You are human. But you did have werewolves instincts since your family is werewolves." I said

softly smiling at her.

She scrunched her nose and bit her lips in confusion. She looked cute and hot at the same time. "I

have a family?" she asked surprised. I nodded my head.

"C-Can I see them?" she asked timidly. I smiled at her. "Of course. If you come with me, you can see

them." I said to her with assurance.

Her eyes went wide. "Hey its ok. I will never do any harm to you I promise." I promised. I will never hurt

her again. This is my second chance with her.

I have so many questions. But they are going to wait. I have my mate with me right now and I am not

going to ruin that. I looked at Doris for help.

"You can trust him dear. I assure you that." she helped me. Amelia nodded her head. "W-Why don't I

remember anything?" she asked me.

"I don't know that either, little one." I said honestly. I have no idea what happened or how she is alive or

she lost her memories. I wished I had answers to give her.

She nodded her head. She went inside to take some stuff. "Thank you so much for saving her. I am

always indebted to you. You are always invited to the palace."

She smiled softly at me. "Anything for my Alpha King. Please take care of her. I may know her for a

little time, but I have become quite fond of her."

I chuckled at that. "She has that effect." I said smiling. I waited for her to come back. Once she came

back she said bye to Doris and promised to visit her.

We bid our goodbye to her and left. When we reached at the end of the clearing I realised how far we

are from Miguel's pack house.

"Its quite far to the pack house." I stated. "Oh" she stated as she stumble on her toes. "Do you want to

climb onto my wolf once I shift?" I asked as she thought for awhile before slowly nodding her head.

"Er, do you want to like turn around?" I asked not wanting to startle her. "Oh right sorry." she said

turning around as I saw her cheeks turn red.

I chuckled and stripped out of clothes before shifting . Once I shifted, I used my snout to signal. She

turn around as she smiled at my wolf.

After such a long time, my wolf was happy. He grinned at her. I realized I was too big for her to climb

hence I bend down for her to climb. Once she hop on top of me, I barked signaling her we are leaving.
