BEING A SUSPECT

I was about to scream when the person closed a hand over my mouth, I couldn't even scream.

I became afraid, not of anything but I thought that maybe the Queen finally found out who I am, even before my plans had been carried out.

I was about to turn, but the person immediately brought forward his left hand and tried choking me.

My survival instinct immediately took in, I brought my leg forward and slightly bent it, making sure the person at my back doesn't know what I was about doing.

I placed my hands strongly at the edge of the bed, to get a strong grip, summoning all the strength in me, I brought my right leg backward and licked whoever it was at the groin. novelbin

I knew it was a male figure, concerning the shape and strength of the person's hand, and the person had a masculine hand.

I heard a loud growl, " ouchhhhhh", that confirmed it, it was a man. I turned immediately, but seemed like the man saw it coming.

He quickly brought his leg in front of mine, which made me to loose balance, and with a loud thud I fell on the floor.

I felt so devastated, "does it mean that few months not being in practice, is what is making me weak?", I thought.

I was still laying on the floor, telling myself that I am trying to let the person feel like I am weak.

The room was slightly dark, so I couldn't see the face of the person, I could only see the person's shadow.

While the man or guy, whosoever was congratulating himself over his victory.

Without warning, I launched myself on him.

This is another way to get an upper hand on your opponent, one tip for fighting.

I took my palms forward, and landed a punch on the person's face, I punched him thrice on the face.

Through the little light, I was able to make out the direction of the person's nose.

I was ready to give him a life mark that would ruin his face forever.

I brought my hand down and punched him on the face like quadruple times.

He was trying to roll me over, so he could be at the top, but I didn't buldge, I took an upper hand.

He yanked my hair, so hard that the bun, I had tried so much to put my hair to, loosed freely and roughly.

He kept yanking at my hair, at that moment I felt like the roots of my hair was about to come off with my hair.

I raised my hands and landed a heavy and thunderstorms smack hard on his face.

The person yelped loudly, which came out as a growl.

He tried rolling me over again, I did like I was about to stand and fell on his stomach.

"My,my this would hurt as hell", I thought. I could remember vividly, those times when Mr krennon was teaching me how to fight.

He did this most of the time, I don't feel like I am numb to the pain.

Even though I had been in the training for more than a year, I knew if this procedure happens again, I won't be able to survive, if he should bounce on my stomach like I did to him.

I suddenly remembered there was a bottle of champagne on the table.

It was the one that the Queen and her son had drank the other day.

I launched towards the table immediately, I was about to take the bottle, when the lights immediately went on.

My eyes had grown accustomed to the darkness, so it was hard taking the rays of the light.

It was the Queen, she just came out from the bathroom, I guess she didn't hear what happened while she was in the bathroom.

If she had heard the noise, she would have been out of the bathroom before now.

"It seems like the bathroom is sound proof", I thought.

I immediately bowed, taking in the presence of the Queen, "Go-goo-good D-Day, my Qu-queen", I stuttered.

"What's happening here, and why is my son on the floor", she thundered.

That was when I recognized the person that actually came in was the prince, Madok.

"Goddd!!!, What have I done", I thought. I just jeopardized everything. The champagne bottle I wanted to use to smash the unknown person who later turns to be the prince slipped from my hand.

It came crashing on the floor.

Immediately I looked on the floor, I noticed it was him, and he was bruised badly, I saw the mess I made on the floor.

"A nice job done", I thought, as I accredited myself.

I decided to cover up on the situation, "My Queen, he's actually on the floor, mhhhhm,mmmhh,", I was fumbling for words.

"Mmmmh what", she asked.

"My Queen, what happened actually, is that, when I entered the room, I was dressing the bed, for your night sleep, whennn", I was interrupted by him immediately.

"Hey mum, there's nothing to worry about actually, it's just that I was coming to check up on you, you were long gone, so I thought I should come check up on you", he said.

I couldn't even look up at him, so many thoughts were running in my head, I wasn't expecting it to be him.

I thought maybe it was someone that had planned on taking down the Queen.

It's not like I care, but, I don't want anyone to take the glory of taking down Amancia Zadir, from me.

That's why I fought with all the strength in me, to make sure it doesn't happen.

"You're sure nothing's wrong", she asked me, facing to look at my direction.

"No my Queen, actually there's nothing wrong, I was only dressing your bed, let me Quickly get something to take care of the mess I did here.

She just kept looking at me, and eyed me badly, and came walking towards my direction.

"You better hurry up with that, what's wrong with you.

You have been acting so clumsy, anyway you are naturally naive and clumsy", she snickered.

I immediately bowed before running towards the door to get what I would use to clean up the broken galsses on the floor.

Once I was out, I was about going to the storeroom, when the prince called me back.

"Aamina, wait there", I stopped immediately.

Immediately I was close, he dragged my hand and held it, he gripped it tightly and roughly.

He thinks maybe, it's hurting me, I don't even feel hurt by his tight and rough grip on me.

The next thing he said, came as a shock to me, I had been expecting this, but I didn't know, he would notice it.

"How can a mere maid, be as strong as that, like someone that studied Kung Fu all her life?", He questioned.

"E-er-er-eeerm My Prince, it's just a survival instinct i learnt from my Dad", I stuttered.

While waiting for his answer, I prayed and hoped he bought my answers.

"Shut the fuck up, do you think I haven't been watching your movements", he thundered.

I was shocked to the brim, but I decided to keep an unreadable facial expression.

I knew if I kept a shocked face, even though he was just assuming my movements, he's going to conclude, that really I have a mission here.

"My prince, I am so sorry, but I don't understand what you are saying, you are accusing me of what I know nothing of.

I only came to dress the bed on which your mother, the Queen would sleep in.

I saw her when she came in, she was looking so tired and worn out, I guessed that once she's done bathing she's gonna go to bed.

I was dressing the bed when you came in, I was thinking it was someone who is against the Queen.

I thought it was a murderer, that's why I fought you like that.

I am so sorry my prince, if I had known it was you, I wouldn't have fought you off that way", I said meekly.

I was angry inside because of how I brought myself so low to talk to this Son of a bastard.

"I don't give a damn of what you said, but what I know for sure is that, you're going to take care of these bruises on my face.

Once you're done with cleaning the Queen's room, don't hesitate to come to mine", he ordered.

I hoped it wasn't what I was thinking, but nevertheless I will still go to see him, just to erase those suspicions of him.

"What are you thinking off, us it about what I told you?, I hope not, and I don't want to wait for you", he said.

"Yes my prince", I replied. His grip on my hand lessened immediately before he pulled of his hands totally.

I looked up to see a smirk on his face, and he quickly threw it off.

He turned his back and headed to his room, or wherever.

I sighed immediately, I was happy that at least I had cleared his doubt on me
