Chapter 23 Ms. Garcia, Mr. Evans Is Looking for You

When Kevin heard Amelia could help him get the project, his interest was immediately piqued.

The bidding for the new project would start next month, and his father said that if he could get this

project, he would hand over the position of heir to him.

However, his competitor was the Collins Group from the capital, one of the top companies in the

country. It would be difficult for him to defeat them in their professional field, so he wanted to please

James and win this project.

But dealing with James obviously was far more difficult than he initially thought.

Confused, he asked Amelia, “Since you have something on James, why didn’t you blackmail him into

being with you?”.

“Who said I didn’t? I’ve threatened him before. I said I wanted to be his girlfriend, but he refused,” she

replied.

Kevin narrowed his eyes at her and said, “If he refused you then, what makes you think he’ll agree to

anything now.”

“If he doesn’t agree this time, I’ll just send the video to Ms. Moore,” Amelia said firmly.

Kevin raised his eyebrows slightly and said, “You proposed this because you don’t want to sleep with

me. Didn’t you?”

“Yes,” she said plainly. Amelia was eerily calm as she continued. “I’ve told you before that I can’t be

physically intimate with someone I don’t love. Naturally I’ll take the initiative if I love someone, just like

with Mr. Evans. But even if you want me now, I can’t sleep with you. All I can do is help you with this

project.”

Kevin thought she would spill the truth only after being exposed. He did not expect her to admit it so

freely and directly. It made him look at her differently.

A few days ago, Amelia subtly impressed and persuaded him with her cleverness, and today she

earned a bit of his admiration as well.

Kevin thought that Amelia had no interest in money or power, so it was a surprise that the guy she liked novelbin

was the heir of the Evans Group.

No wonder she didn’t have eyes for him. She was interested in someone far more powerful.

Intelligence, ambition, tactics, negotiation. The small woman in his arms was formidable in all aspects.

Maybe if he left it to her, she could help him get the west city project, but…

Kevin grabbed Amelia’s chin and asked her to look back at him. “If you mess it up, I’ll let my friends

violate your best friend.”

He knew that Eva was a weak spot for Amelia. As long as he used Eva to threaten her, she would

always obey him.
