Chapter 17 One Should Follow the Rules Amelia’s expression froze. Paul was wearing a suit, so he could take off his jacket and still have a whit e shirt on, but if Amelia took off a piece of clothing, she would be left with nothing on. She lifted her gaze to the crowd, everyone’s eyes were on her expectantly, and she felt like an animal being scrutinized by a group of powerful and wealthy young people. Even Kevin stared at her, waiting for her to take off her dress.

Amelia knew that complying with their demand would mean sacrificing her dignity, but resisting would only make it harder for her to leave this private room. She felt trapped and helpless, her fists clenched with frustration. But she was about to di e in a few months, why would she still hold onto her dignity and reputation?
