Chapter 8 Escape From Danger However, Kevin did not care about her feelings and tore off her pajamas. When his calloused hand touched her lower back, she screamed in fear. “Kevin!” The deafening scream stopped Kevin’s probing hand. But he only paused for a moment before pulling at her clothes again. Amelia regretted that she didn’t bring a baseball bat to beat him to death. “Kevin, if you dare to r ape me tonight, I promise you’ll see me in court tomorrow!” Kevin’s hand paused again, but then he sneered, as if he had heard a great joke. “I’m not even worried about the cops. You think I’d be afraid of seeing you in court?” Amelia clenched her fists, “I know your family is powerful, but I have my way. If you use your connections to fix me, I swear I’ll make your scandal public!!”

“Sure, go ahead. It’s been a while since I made headlines anyway,” Kevin raised an eyebrow and smirked. Kevin was clearly not threatened at all. Amelia suddenly felt a strong sense of powerlessness. If she fought with him head-on, it would be like throwing an egg against a rock.

Amelia softened her voice, “Mr. Harris, I didn’t mean to threaten you with anything. “No.” Kevin refused curtly, “I can’t wait for that long.” But Amelia sensed that there was still room for negotiation, “Two months, then?” Kevin touched her cheek when he saw Amelia’s eyes suddenly lit up, “Three days.” He would like to do her right now, but she was right. It would not feel so great if he forced her. It might be exciting in a way, but if he wanted to do it with her in more ways…he would have to put in some effort.
