Chloe woke up with a start and quickly pulled the blanket tightly around herself.
“I’ll be out soon!”
Although her foot was a little sore from last night’s fall, it did not affect her walk.
After a quick shower, Chloe appeared in front of Joseph wearing a delicate dress. She tossed her hair and asked, “How’s this outfit? Is it good?”
Joseph’s eyes lit up. He could not help but acknowledge how stunning she looked in the milky white dress that was delicate and not overly ostentatious. Her subtle makeup gave her a vibrant appearance, and her lips-embellished with peach-colored lip gloss -were so plump and supple that they resembled jelly, enticing one to taste them.
However, it was a cheap dress. If his grandfather saw her wearing this, he would think that Joseph was mistreating her. He did not comment on her outfit, but instead pulled her into the dressing room.
“Take it off and pick a different dress.”
Chloe was astonished as she gazed at the wardrobe brimming with a vast collection of expensive women’s clothing. In addition, the drawers next to it were overflowing with a plethora of jewelry and cosmetics.
Though she had not grown up with much pocket money, Chloe had acquired several luxurious possessions during her financially independent college years as well as receiving some high-end gifts from Jake. This exposure had broadened her perspective, but the extent of wealth that now lay before her made her past possessions seem like a mere drop in the ocean.
Just the clothes alone were worth almost a million, not to mention the precious jewelry.
“I was originally going to let you buy some clothes yourself, but because of time constraints and your leg, I had someone buy them and deliver them here. I don’t know what you like, so I just picked some stuff at random.
“Pick a set to wear today. If you don’t like any of these, you can go out and buy some on your own when your leg heals.”
Chloe’s eyes lit up as she looked at him admiringly. “Jojo, you’re so rich! I like you very much!”
Apart from the occasional sarcasm, Joseph was much more generous and gentlemanly
than Jake, who was a scumbag. She could not believe how blind she had been in the past. How could she not notice there was such a fine man in Jake’s family?
“Do you like rich guys?”
“I do. But even if you weren’t rich, I would still like you.”
Joseph was taken aback and felt a sense of pleasure in his heart. He looked

“Which woman in this world doesn’t like hot guys?” she said flatly.

Joseph decided to end the topic. He bent his slender fingers and flicked her forehead. ” Hurry up and change. Stop wasting time.”
From the line of clothes, Chloe chose a fashionable dress that made her look dignified and elegant.
Chloe and Joseph got into the back seat of the Rolls-Royce with the same license plate from before. She noticed that he glanced at her several times and felt delighted.
‘Are my moves working?”
She deliberately adjusted her posture to a flattering position, causing her dress to climb above her knee and revealing her long slender legs with overly fair skin.
Joseph’s lips twitched as he watched every detail of Chloe”s actions.
“Are you cold?” he asked.
Chloe felt a surge of happiness, confirming that her efforts over the past few days had paid off.
‘He actually cares for me!’
Trying to maintain her composure, she replied, “I’m fine. It’s not that cold.”
Joseph nodded and instructed Patrick, “Slow down the car and open the windows. I feel a bit dizzy.”
“Okay, sir.”
All of a sudden, a chilly gust of wind rushed in, and goosebumps popped up all over Chloe’s bare thighs. Her previously joyful expression fell away as she gritted her teeth against the cold.
