Chapter 18: The Kiss
Glen's POV
I slowly wake up and saw that grandma was already gone and the book was lying on the nightstand.
I slowly get up and stretch my hands up in the air, to the left side then to the right and end it with a deep
sigh.
"Damn that feels so good" I mumble still half asleep then I suddenly yawn.
I then look at the book and reach for the it and bring it near me. I opened it and I trace my grandma's
writings.
"Even though it looks old. It's still the best stories I've ever heard" I mumble while looking at the words.
(By the way if I didn't tell you that she wrote this one then I'm telling you now. That's why I can't find it in
any library but maybe I might find it out at the new school)
I stand up and went to my drawer. I opened my secret compartment then place the book inside that
grandma gave me along with the rest of the important things that I own.
(I always keep my secret belongings here so don't tell anyone because I'll find you and dispose-- joke I
will just throw you in the river)
I closed the drawer and prepared for the day.
I went to the bathroom that is connected to my room. I prepare the bathtub and took a bath then did my
rituals.
After I finished my rituals I changed into my clean clothes. I just chose a simple one like a white shirt
and a black jogging pants then end it with a rubber shoe.
"OH SNAP That reminds me.... where going to get our uniform this Monday" I thought while looking at
myself in the mirror for the final touch.
"Would the uniform look good on me" I mumble while looking myself on the whole size mirror I made
my parents bought.
(Well I need this mirror to make sure at least I am properly groomed... Who wouldn't-- right? Even novelbin
thought were not that attractive still let’s make ourselves one) I chuckle at my thoughts before taking a
final glance at myself on the mirror.
When I think I'm already done I open my door just as the time my brother closed his door.
I look at him in surprise and I was really shocked. I scan at him up and down and then look at his face.
"What" he snaps making me look away at him.
"Nothing it's just that... wait" I said while still analyzing the situation before taking it in.
"Something's wrong" I mumble in confusion before I look at him again in disbelief.
"Why are you keep on looking at me" he complained and I ignored him.
"Something is really not right" I mumble again then I sigh.
"MOM WHAT DID YOU GIVE TO ACE HIS ALREADY DRESSED IN CLOTHES" I shouted making my
brother scoff and frown at me.
"NOTHING I DIDN'T GIVE HIM ANYTHING" mom shouted at me.
"Nope she definitely did something and I need to find it out" I ranted while assessing my brother.
"THEN YOU SHOULD DO THAT OFTEN SO THAT WE WON'T BE LATE" I shouted and think of what
did she do.
"Did the food last night affected him? Or the--"
"JUST GO DOWN AND EAT ALREADY. I'M GETTING ANNOYED HERE ALREADY. TALKING AND
RANTING AND SHOUTING" my brother said hitting my head making me groan and chuckle nervously.
"Well who would think that you will be early and already dressed" I said teasingly while massaging me
head.
He then headlock me and tried to dragged me to the kitchen.
"HEY DON'T TOUCH MY HAIR" I shouted at him when he ruffles my hair making me groan and get
angry.
He just chuckled and continued to ruffle my hair while I complain my annoyance.
I hit his side and he immediately let go of me and groan in pain while glaring at me.
"WHAT WAS THAT FOR" he shouted and I just fix my hair again and look at him groaning in pain.
(Serves you right) I thought while grinning at him.
"I said don't do that to my hair" I said in annoyance and he glared at me.
(I really didn't expect this. His already dressed and prepared just like me. And I'm surprised that he
already chose clothes moreover just a simple one. I guess he followed my advice) I thought while
looking at him.
I immediately went downstairs when I saw Ace charging towards me.
"DAMN YOU COME HERE AND I'LL FIX THAT HAIR OF YOURS" he shouted making me run for my
life.
"SHIT" I cursed as I run down the stairs and he followed me also trying to catch me.
I run to the living room and went behind the couches to try and escape him. He followed suite and we
played catch the thief.
He is the police and I'm the thief. We run around the house until dad stopped us.
"Time to eat already or you'll be late" dad snicker when he appeared in the living room.
"Your slow Ace. You can't even catch me" I snicker and tease Ace while we were both panting but Ace
is more tired than I am.
He is panting like his already going to fall down so he went to sit down on the couch and catch his
breath.
"Dad did you have him when you were having an exercise cause damn, he sure can run" Ace snorted
making me look at dad and I was frozen.
He looked uncomfortable with the subject and just went away to the kitchen making my eyes wide
open.
(D--on't t--ell me t--hat Ace was-- FUCKING RIGHT) I screamed on my head while looking at dad in
shock.
I look at Ace and he was also wearing the same expression as me.
(WHAT THE FUDGE.....) I cursed in my mind while he also looked like he's cursing too in his mind.
"I KNEW IT... DAD" my brother shouted making me just laugh in realization.
"I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT" my father shouted at the dinning.
"DAD YOU SHOULD HAVE DONE IT WHEN I WAS-- YOU KNOW SO THAT I COULD ALSO RUN
LIKE HIM" he shouted making me laugh even more.
"Damn I knew it something was really fishy and now I know why" he said looking damn shocked
making me just laugh.
"Now you know" I teased and he look at me in annoyance before looking away.
"I need to know how so that I can make my kids run like you" he said and I nearly choked. I look at him
in wide eyes as I see him looking like his about to confront dad.
"Wait is this guy serious" I mumble in disbelief and he looked at me seriously.
We look at each other and then run to the dinning where my father is hiding.
He was sitting on the other end of the table while reading the newspaper and a glass of water beside
him.
Food was already on the table and I think mom is still on the kitchen.
Ace went to approach him and I just sit on one of the chairs and look at them.
"Dad tell me the truth" Ace said interrogating dad when we entered the kitchen and I was eyeing them
in amusement.
He was trying to ignore Ace since you can see that he was uncomfortable and acting awkward making
Ace to pester him even more.
"Come on dad. I want also my kids to run like him" he snorted and I saw dad choked on the glass of
water he was drinking making it spill on the table.
He eyed Ace and then ignored h and try to wipe the spilled water on the table.
(Now we already have something to blackmail or tease dad) I chuckle and saw them both having an
eyeball contest.
(Thought I still have a feeling that it might be used against me someday) I thought while looking at
them.
"What are boys shouting about" Mom said suddenly coming out of the kitchen with my little sister on
her side.
I turn to look at her and stand up to get the food that she was holding.
"I'll help you with that mom" I said and take the pot and placed it on the table.
"Oh were just.......hs..jdknmvhhdhk"
"Oh were just having some bonding" Dad said stopping whatever Ace is saying so I turn around and
saw my father holding Ace while covering his mouth.
Dad looked at me and give me an eye. I got the idea and give him a smile and look at mom.
"Where just having fun" I said making mom nod her head and I just shake my head.
"Now release him and will eat" mom said and Dad did but he whispered something to Ace before
releasing him.

"I still can't believe that" my brother said making me frown in annoyance while looking at my phone.
(His already been telling that for a millionth time. And I'm starting to get pissed already)
"Ace if you don't shut already you mouth, I will be the one to shut that out" I stated in annoyance
making him keep quiet immediately.
"That's more like it. Peace and quietness" I said and he just shrug and fix his eyes on the road.
"Damn you" he mumbles and I just ignore him.
"By the way we don't have to go to Kaylee. Uncle already dropped her at school" I said to Ace and he
just nods.
"Okay" he simply said and hit the gas making me immediately hold unto the car's seatbelt for support
since I don't want to die.
He suddenly made the car run faster than never before making me get shocked and terrified and nearly
fly out of the car when he suddenly stopped the car and then hit the gas again making me scream at
him.
"YOU BASTARD..... MAKE IT STOP.... AHHHHHH.... DAMN ACE... I REALLY BEAT THE SHIT OUT
OF YOU.... AHHHHH" I screamed and shouted at him. I was so terrified and in horror making me close
my eyes since I can't bear to look at the cars that we nearly bumped.
He was laughing so hard while I continued to scream in fear making Ace stop but he never listened to
me.
"ARE YOU TRYING TO KILL US" I shouted in horror when we already parked at school.
I was still gripping on the seatbelt while panting so hard like my heart is about to jump out of my body. I
was trembling and horrified while looking at the windshield of the car.
He just keeps on laughing while getting out of the car.
"You should have seen your face back there. It's priceless" he snickers when he was outside the car
looking at me.
"Get out already or else you’re going to be late" he teased and I slowly get out of the car still
processing what had just happened.
"I nearly died" I mumble in fear while looking at the ground until I slowly calmed myself and glared at
my brother.
I slammed the door shut for my revenge and I saw him stop laughing and look at me.
"HEY, don't--"
"Oh so it's ridiculous then when we are really ABOUT TO HIT THOSE CARS AND NEARLY DIE" I said
cutting him off then shouted before I charge at him which caught him off guard.
(Come here and I'll rip that smile out of your face) I thought in anger while going near him.
But he was able to dodge me and then lock the car before turning around and dash away escaping me.
"BYE" he screamed while still laughing making me shout in frustration.
"COWARD" I shouted too in anger.
(That idiot. Making fun of me. I'll make him really pay for what he did. I'll make him beg and grovel on
the ground-- nah the first one is enough)
I slowly calmed down and took a deep sigh before turning around only to suddenly bump with a wall or
I should say a person.
(Ouch that hurts thank goodness I didn't fall down) I said while rubbing my head in pain.
"Oh sorry man" I stated apologetically while trying to look at the person but when I saw him I froze.
"Watch were you’re going" the person coldly stated and then looked at me.
I then slowly turn around and try to make a run for it but fate has other plans.
He grabbed me and slam me on the car that it next to me making me groan.
(Ouch.... that hurts... can't he be gentle) I thought while looking at him.
But when I look at his eyes I immediately gulp and think that I met death.
(I forgot I still have a sin to him) he was glaring at me like a predator who is about to eat his prey.
(Wait... your thinking of nasty thoughts.... I'm not talking about that you know.... I'm going to get hurt
here while you’re thinking of that... that hurts you know)
He walks slowly to me and I immediately step back.
"Uhm... what are you doing" I said and step back when he forwarded again.
(Shit I'm screwed. Kaylee is not around) I look around to see if a teacher would pass by and help me
here but I saw none.
"You are nothing without your friend" he said and chuckle making me frown at him.
"Look I don't want fight" I said raising my hand in surrender trying to avoid any casualties here.
(I can fight him but in a situation like this his more capable because one move and he'll just use his
powers and burn me alive) I gulp thinking of that and shiver in fear.
(I still want to live. I don't want to die young not like others who doesn't like to die virgin) I tried to joke to
try and calm my shaking body only to find out that it didn't helped.
"What if I tell you I want one" he pushed me making me slam on the car again.
"Come on show me again that sword that you have" he said making me frown.
"Sorry but I don't have it" I lied. He then eyed me and then move his head closer to my face.
I can feel his breath and again just like the other time I got amazed of the color of his eye.
We both suddenly trapped in a staring contest. I was looking at his eyes and suddenly I didn't know
what came into my mind and I suddenly kissed him.
I close my eyes and feel my lips crashing to his lips. I suddenly realized what I did and blushed then I
immediately back away and saw him staring at me in shock.
(Shit.... what the heck am I doing. Did I just fucking kiss him) I slowly look away and waited for a punch
or anything but it never came so I look at him and he was frozen. I think that he was caught off guard
and still in shock.
(I guess this is my chance already to escape him) I thought while looking at him.
I suddenly feel awkward so I immediately push him and run for my life.
(Why did I even do that. ARE FUCKING CRAZY ALREADY GLEN) I look back and saw no one is
following me.
I then slowly touch my lips and the feeling of his kiss was still on my lips and I blushed again and shake
my head.
"No... no.... why are you getting flustered" I scolded myself before I realize something and went wide
eyes.
"W-- wait he might think that I like him" I mutter getting flustered before stopping on my tracks and look
back.
