Chapter 19: His Lying
Glen's POV
I was in trance when suddenly someone slapped my back and I groan in pain and glare at the person.
"Why are you looking so troubled, did something happen?" I hear her say and I blushed remembering
what just happened a while ago.
"N--nothing it's....... just... that I--" I stutter making her eye me.
(Shit Glen think of something) I scolded myself while looking away.
"I was just thinking that Ace was early and yeah.... you know what, he was already dressed when I got
out my room. Do you think he ate something?" I asked trying to change the subject and it worked.
"Maybe he just had a good day" she said and I sigh in relief.
"Thank goodness she bought it" I mumble while she looks away.
I immediately went near her with a happy face.
"Come on and let's go to class" I said and she nods at me.
"Yeah I was just going to meet you at the parking lot but I saw you here looking troubled " she said
making me nod my head.
"Then shall we go to class" Kaylee said and we went to class and followed the group of students who
are trying to survive high school.

When we were walking towards our class I was still troubled about that kiss.
(Sorry to tell but I'll be honest if you’re asking if it was my first. It wasn’t my first and sorry to tell you that
thought. It is a secret if you will ask me who was my first and more details)
We both turn on the other hallway and saw students in groups and suddenly hear faint whispers when
we pass by.
I slowly glance at the group and I caught them looking at us. They suddenly look away or if not with
each other and try to talk and continue what they are doing though some still look at me too.
"Hey isn't that the one who fought with Tobios" novelbin
"Yup he was really something"
"What was his power"
"Is he a weapon wielder or what"
"His sword was different that the others"
"Did he really fight him maybe it's somebody else"
I could hear them even though they whisper it anyone could still hear them because they are loud. I
then look away and sigh before looking straight and just ignore the whispers.
"Famous are we" Kaylee suddenly tease and I chuckle at her.
"Yup no like you who is a loser" I comeback and I saw her frown so I just ignored her and walk faster
since honestly, I can't stand the stares and the attention that the other students are giving me.
(Maybe I shouldn't have done that. Now everybody will look at me and I'll be a target of strong students
and I'll... ahahahahh)
I complain while scolding myself.
"Hey wait for me" Kaylee shouted and keep up with me.
Suddenly someone stand in front us making I and Kaylee stop and halt in tracks.
I look at the group of students eyeing us. What made me uncomfortable and annoyed was... They just
fucking eyed us from head to toe...that's fucking rude.
I ignored them and give them the way so I went to the side and pull Kaylee with me who is at my back.
I waited for them to walk but I they never did and so I tried to walk on the other side but suddenly they
blocked it making crunch my face in annoyance.
(Are they already starting. Fuck I shouldn't have fought that bastard if I knew this would happen)
I look at them and they were smirking. A group of girls with a pointed hat on their head.
(Casters I guess, what do they want?)
"Excuse me" I said calmly when they really don't want to move or either move since we gave them a
way.
"If I don't what would you do" she said challenging me.
"Glen they're one of the top students in my class" Kaylee whispered to me making me look at her.
She wears a nervous face and she nods making me look at them again.
"What do you want?" I just said to them.
(So what if they are the top students? I don't care all I want is to get to class)
They all become serious and look at me ready to fight. I just stare at them and look around.
(If we're going to fight here. It's kind of a bit risky since if they are the top students then I guess they are
good) I look at them and sigh.
(We're out numbered. Five against two. Even if they are girls, they have magic considering they are top
students in all Casters, I guess)
"We just want to get to class, that's all" I said calmly while looking at them in a friendly manner.
"There is no need to fight we are outnumbered and we don't want to cause any trouble here" I honestly
said and I look at them and they slowly relax and look me.
"We also didn't come here to cause any trouble" the one wearing glasses said while moving forward.
(I think that she is their leader since she screams like it) I thought while looking at her cautiously.
"We just want to know if it was you who fought the elemental like they say" she said making me eye
her.
I sigh (Can't they just let it go. It was just a simple duel and it's nothing important)
I look at Kaylee giving her the help-me-look but she just looks at me too and give me a it's-your-fault-
so-deal-with-it-look.
"Come on everyone is waiting. I think that they also want to know if it is really you" she said.
(What do you mean everyone?)
She just looks at my back so I turn around and stares of students are at me making me feel
uncomfortable immediately.
(To tell the truth I hate getting stares from people that I don't know. It makes me uncomfortable and
conscious of myself)
I sigh (I need to stop this and I mean now that I have the chance or it will be a problem)
I tried to open my mouth but someone spoke ruining my concentration and my build up energy.
"Yup his the one I fought" I immediately look at the person.
He was there leaning on the wall with his friends behind him. He was looking at me intently while I look
away and blushed a little bit.
And like usual Antonette was glaring at me and Kaylee making Kaylee frown at her.
"What's her problem anyway? Every time that we meet, she's always glaring" I hear Kaylee complain
and I look at her.
She was gritting her teeth while looking at the group who just interrupted us. I then look at the group of
girls and they were looking at them in surprised.
"His lying" I said making them look at me again.
(If he thinks that he'll ruin this opportunity to scape this situation then thinks again. Even though I want
to rub in on my brothers face that I was the one who fought with this person. I am still worried and more
troubled if the whole school will try to whisper about me moreover, I will attract attention of other
students just like what is happening today)
"What do you mean?" The girl asked me and I look at her.
"It wasn't me who fought him" I said making them look at me in confusion.
"But he said that it was you" she said in confusion and look at me.
I look a Tobios and he was coming near me making me step back and flinch since he was eyeing me
dangerously moreover, he was a little bit on fire. And when I say on fire, I was not talking figuratively
but rather literally.
"Who are you calling a liar" he said making me gulp and I also saw the others students including the
group in front of me get scared and feel worried.
(Shit I think I made him mad)
(You think?) my conscience scolds making me groan.
(Fine it I made him mad. Are you happy) I argued to myself.
"Oh liar.... uhm..." I stutter shaking my head in nervousness while looking away.
I saw other students already going away, some are still here chatting while some are just watching at
us.
(Damn think of something, anything to scape this situation. Oh that...)
I just smile at Tobios who is now a meter away me and damn you could feel the heat from him.
I immediately look at Kaylee and blink my eyes signaling her.
(We usually do this back then when we were in the verge of dying and we need to scape)
She gets it and I look at Tobios and he was looking at me confused then he realizes something.
"You’re not going to run away this time" he said and immediately he was in front of me.
He tried to grab me but I dodge it and look at Kaylee.
"NOW" I shouted and immediately smoke covered the hallway in an instant.
He tried to grab me again so I immediately fall down on the floor and grab Kaylee's hand and run away
with the smoke as our camouflage.
Coughing students were all we can hear. Then as soon a we turn to the corner an explosion happened
and the smoke suddenly vanished and faded in the air.
We didn't waste time and try to look what happened and just run to the classroom where the teacher is
standing at the door looking at her watch.
(Probably waiting for late students who will be punished if they got in late)
She looked us and looked satisfied. We stop in front her while panting so hard that we bent down and
hold unto our knees for support then I leaned on the wall.
"Are we late Ma'am" Kaylee said in pants since I was already leaning on the wall for support can I can't
speak for the moment.
(Take a deep breath Glen. Don't die on me)
"Not yet but what happened to both of you" she said in a worry tone.
"Oh, nothing ma'am we just want to run since we are going to be late" this time I was the one to spoke
still between pants.
"Okay then go inside your safe this time since you're a minute before the time" she said making us
cheer and laugh at each other.
"Well thank you ma'am" we both say and entered the room.
When we entered the room, our classmates were looking at us in confusion making us just smile at
them.
"I've been loo-What hell happened to you two" I hear Ema said when we saw here coming near us.
We both look at each other and laugh. She just looked at us weirdly and curiously.
"Nothing we were just trying to have an exercise and run along the hallway" I said and she just nods
before we went to take our sit.
"Okay I save you some " she said pointing at the back.
"Okay" we both cheered before suddenly the teacher spoke outside making us turn around and look at
the door.
(This teacher really hates late students by the way. That is why we run like mad people a while ago.
She gives them a lesson before making the walk in.)
We both immediately went at the back near Ema who is still lost. And our classmates are just looking at
the people who just came in.
All of us look at the group who just came in and they were all looking at us.
Both I and Kaylee flinch and got nervous. And like on cue the whole class glance at us and we just fake
that we didn't notice them looking and went to fix our bag just like usually do.
I can tell someone is glaring at me but I didn't care at all.
(If glares can be turn into daggers. I might already be dead today. Thank goodness no one has that
power or else were all gonna die)
"So tell me what really happened out there" I hear Ema looking at us.
We both look at each other than to her who is eyeing us curiously.
