Chapter 23: Last One's a Loser

Glen's POV

I immediately ran away like I was being chased by a monster and didn't waste any seconds and look

for my friends.

(You never know maybe he'll just appear in front of me and say gotcha... where do you think you’re

going)

I run along the hallway and try to hid myself in case he will follow me.

I didn't look back and just run and run so I don't know if his still back there or his following me.

I then turn to the hallway and I immediately spot them walking towards the cafeteria so I run and catch

up with them.

"Hey guys wait for me" I shouted while running towards them.

They both stop and turn around and look at me and by the time I got to them they were looking at me

confused.

I was panting so hard and they both stare at me making me annoyed at them.

(Really this is what you’re going to show me after I ran for my life, come one) I groan in my mind while

staring at them in disbelief.

"Oh don't give me that look when I just practically ran away from the person who wants to kill me, have

some sympathy people" I said to them and they both look surprised before starting to laugh like mad

people.

"You really like to joke around" Ema said making me look at her.

"If you wanted joke, he can't give you that because he can only give you sarcastic remarks as a joke"

Kaylee said making me gasp.

"Hey I'm not like that beside I'm really telling the truth" I defended while I show him a hurt face.

"You're not like that you say" she said while facing me.

"So what do you call when you started a joke that made all of us back then nearly killed each other"

she said challenging making me flash a silly smile.

"Maybe I went a little bit far back then" I said with a guilty expression.

"A little bit" she said glaring at me making me sigh in defeat.

"Okay, I went a way too far, now are you happy" I said in defeat making her nod her head.

"That right feel guilty since I nearly got hurt back then" she said making me chuckle at the last part.

"You dare chuckle do you think having me fall on the chair laughable huh" she snorted making me

laugh more.

Back then when our family members had a family camp. Therefore, all of my cousins are there.

We decided to play games and it fall on making friendly jokes. The jokes were friendly at first but then

when it came to me their joke kind of a bit too hurtful.

My brother tried to stop them but they made fun of him too.

(Lesson learned not to play friendly jokes with cousins but everything was flipped and I got my turn to

joke around)

So I got pissed and decided to make fun of their secrets. Secrets that I have found out months and

years ago and that they hide it to the rest of us.

This Secrets were practically never to be told but because I got pissed and I used it as a joke to get

them a taste of their own medicine.

Little did I know the jokes I made nearly started a world war since there secrets was, kind of... kind of

all about them hating each other’s flaws.

I smirked when the tables have turned. And that very moment, they started fighting with each other and

I was just watching them not doing anything.

To tell the truth I didn't felt guilty but rather I was happy and satisfied. They started calling each other

names and started physical fights that turned into punching, kicking and shoving each other.

And still I was just sitting there watching them and I was chuckling until it turned out as a laugh, I was

laughing so hard while looking at them. It's all their fault trying to mess with me and my brother.

My brother was trying to stop them all from fighting while Kaylee was also there watching. She was

sitting on the chair scared of what is going to happen next, until one of my cousins kicked her chair and

the chair fall backwards.

I still remember looking at it in slow motion as she screamed and falls down on the ground. Everyone

stopped their fighting and immediately rushed to look at her since she started crying so loud that it novelbin

alerted everyone.

My brother Ace was the first one to approach her trying to calm her down but failed.

Everyone was nervous and shaking since she started crying louder and louder. Everyone tried to

comfort her except for me who was just looking at them.

I was still mad that time so I didn't try to help her but when my brother came next to me and told me to

comfort her, I snapped back and calm down and obliged since I was her favorite cousin to begin with.

I comforted her and told her if she won't stop crying, I will not be friends with her and just like that she

stopped.

Then suddenly the adults came looking worried and angry. Her mother carried her and I ran to my

mother too.

At the end we all got scolded except for me and Kaylee since she told them everything.

(Another lesson learned. And that moment my cousins learned never to mess with me and we never

played that game ever again until now because I think that they all know not to mess with me or else I'll

tell them all the secrets that they keep)

(So do you have a secret you can share it to me-- nah.... you can have it)

"I could say that's one of my favorites... I mean the best memories of my childhood" I said in laughter.

"You still remember their faces when they got scolded. It was priceless" I trailed making her laugh too.

We both started laughing and then suddenly someone cleared their throat making us stop and look at

the person. It was Ema who was looking at us in a confused manner.

"Hello guys I'm kind of a bit lost here mind sharing what it was so that I can laugh too" she sarcastically

said making us give her an apologetic expression.

"Oh sorry about that, we went to have a trip on our past and we suddenly got stuck about it" Kaylee

said making Ema crunch her face in confusion.

(Now behold the out of the world joker Kaylee has awoken and ready to unleash unknown disaster to

the world)

I kind of noticed the confusion in Ema's face so I tried explaining it to her.

"She means we kind of travel back in time" I said making her to get even more confused the she is

already.

(I still can't believe she can't still get it. I mean it was so understandable. Ace got it back it took him a

day to realize what does it mean since we didn't tell him the meaning)

"If you two won't just talk to me like a normal person we are then I won't ever talk to you again" she

said sulking making Kaylee spoke immediately.

"Okay okay. I mean to tell was, we were just thinking about our past life" she said making me smile and

I give her an amused look.

"Nice one" I mumble and chuckle at her.

And I guess Ema had already enough of it since she suddenly turned around and started moving

towards the cafeteria.

"You shouldn't have said that to her and just said the magic word" I said to Kaylee making her snort

and she started running to Ema trying to talk to her.

I catch up with them and talked to Ema. I saw her still pouting and sulking when I got to them.

"Hey don't get mad we're just messing with you and there were no hard feelings involved" I said to her

making her look at me then to Kaylee.

"Now I can finally understand how and why can your jokes start a war" she said with an amused look

making all of us bursted laughing like mad persons in the hallway.

We all suddenly look at each other and run to the cafeteria while still laughing.

"Chase you to the cafeteria" Kaylee challenged and I just nod at her.

"Last one is a sucker" I shouted and dash of leaving them behind.

"Damn you run too fast slow down" Kaylee shouted while catching up with me.

"Hey wait for me. I wasn't ready when you said to run" I hear Ema shouted and I just laugh.

"Last one's a loser" I shouted and run faster.

(I am sure glad I have them on my side)
