Chapter 29: Lectured
Glen's POV
"So tell me a good reason for causing another unauthorized match at the battle ground" Sir Tanner said
in anger making me flinch at his cold and dangerous tone.
(We are basically being lectured and shouted now because of what we did a while ago. It was really
our fault so that is why I'm sweating in nervousness here. But I think this guy doesn't care because he
was just sitting while looking bored making me want to punch his face)
"He really pisses me of" I mumble while gritting my teeth in annoyance.
Sir Tanner growled making me immediately shut my mouth and look at him who is now fuming in anger.
(Damn... I don't want to make it any worse since they might call my parents and I'm totally screwed)
I panicked in my mind while thinking of the scenarios that will come if they really find out.
So I immediately just kept quiet and look down on my hands trying not to stir more trouble for me than I
am already.
(Being scolded in the school is one of the things that I almost hate but making my parents come to
school is far more embarrassing for me to take. And it's more dangerous since I don't know what mom
will do to me) I shiver in fear while thinking of that. novelbin
"That gave me goosebumps" I mumble while taking a deep breath.
I was caught up in my thoughts that I nearly forgot about Kaylee.
I then glace at Kaylee who is at my side and saw her fidgeting. She was also looking down at his hands
and playing it.
(She usually does that when she's nervous)
So to try and cheer him up. I nudge her shoulders and she slowly look up to me. I give her a reassuring
smile that everything will be alright and just relax.
She looked at me again before taking a deep breath and look at Sir who is talking to us.
Nobody dared to talk and so way I. Let them talk first-- though the truth is I'm just really nervous now
since we are in a different environment and I still don't know what these teachers can do to us.
I look at the other two. Antonette was also nervous like us. (She should be because how come we are
only feeling nervous here. WE NEED TO SHARE IT... you know)
But one thing ticks me off, I glace at my side and saw that fucker Tobios was still just looking bored at
the other side and doesn't care.
(Here we are fidgeting with nervousness like we're going to a death battle zone while there he is
looking smugly and bored can't he even be a little bit sympathetic)
And just like that my nervousness vanished and now changed into irritation and frustration.
"Damn just because he’s the son of the headmaster no need to act like that he literally like telling us
that you're screwed but I'm not" I mumble in gritted teeth while glaring at him.
(Arggggg.... the privilege ones are really lucky-- they just get whatever they want and run away like
nothing had ever happen in the first place) I sigh in annoyance and disappointment to this kind of
difference-- or maybe discrimination, I don't know.
"BLAG" suddenly Sir Tanner decided to use force to get all of our attention since some especially that
idiot who looks like he doesn't care what is happening here.
He slammed his fist unto the table making the three of us jump in surprise while the other one just
looks at him in boredom and annoyance.
"Aren’t you going to talk and tell me what I want to know" he said with an angry expression making me
gulp for a moment and get thrilled with the situation.
But still I kept my mouth shut and same with the rest thought the other one looks-- nothing.
I tried to realized what had happen and think if we could escape this but I realize something making me
sigh.
(We really have a fault in that battle too. And I hate to admit it, I was too dumb accepting that challenge
only to protect my pride and made Kaylee join me. I guess there is really no choice but to talk)
I sigh again and look at Kaylee and she was really nervous because she was fidgeting. (This seems
kind of familiar. Where did I saw her like this?)
"Lee why are you shacking" I asked when we were at the principal's office waiting for her to come.
We did cause a ruckus at school but not it's not all our fault yet they all blame the two of us for
everything. This was the first time we got to the principal's office.
"This wasn't our fault we were just protecting ourselves" she said ignoring my question a while ago.
I hold her hand to make her stop playing with it nonstop since it's already turning red.
"Hey... hey look at me" I said but she didn't look so I force her to look at me.
I grab her face and move it away from her hands for her to look at me.
I got sad when she looked at my eyes. She was teary-eyed and now starting to sob.
"Hey everything's going to be fine. I promise" I reassured and she ease down but still sobbing though.
I scratch her back to comfort her as we wait for the principal to come.
I look at Kaylee intently and she was already shacking. I grab her hands and she immediately look at
me.
She was looking confused so I smile at her implying that everything’s going to be okay.
I look at Sir Tanner and he still was looking angry.
"Sir Kaylee is out of this matter. I just forced and dragged her into this mess. Uhm.... could you please
let her go" I said standing up making them all look at me.
"No-" I immediately stopped Kaylee from talking and just stare at her making her stop and then look
down at the ground.
"Is he telling the truth Ms. Kaylee?" Sir Tanner questioned making her give a forced nod.
(I'm sorry but I can't look at you getting punished for my selfish acts)
"Sir she was not forced and she fought at her own will" Antonette bicker making me snap and look at
her dangerously.
She was taken aback by my sudden glaring. When I already know that she won't talk again I look at
Tobios and he was staring at me, surprise is evident in his eyes but it vanished immediately.
I look at Sir Tanner seriously and spoke.
"Sir could you spare Kaylee and just let her go since it was my fault in the first place dragging her into
the fight" He look at me first but I still keep my ground and never back down with my word.
He then sighs and looked convince so she let her go.
"Okay then Ms. Kaylee you can go now" he said while looking at Kaylee.
Antonette was about to protest but I look at her and she pipped down.
Kaylee stands up while her head is looking down when she walked to the door. I didn't turn around and
just look at Sir Tanner.
(I know she's upset and gloomy now but I don't want to see that face back then)
Once she was out of the door Sir Tanner spoke making all of us look at him.
"So now tell me what really happened" he said in a calmer tone making me look at him in confusion.
(He was about to shout a while ago and now he immediately calmed his tone)
I thought before I look at the two and they look like they really don't want to talk at all.
So I tried to speak and tell them that it was all our fault (Since of course I won't just tell that I was the
only one that is at fault here because all of us had. I accepted the challenge that get me to this point
and that's my wrong decision but they were the one who started it) but Tobios suddenly spoke making
us look at him.
"It was just a friendly match" he smugly said making me surprised.
(I thought he won't speak the whole time and can't he blame it on me, making me the bad one here. I'm
confused)
"A friendly game eh" he said making me look at him.
(He's buying it....ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME) I mentally scream while looking at him in disbelief.
Sir Tanner sighed and sit down on his chair while he played with his hands in a thinking manner like he
was trying to analyze the situation.
I look at Tobios and I was surprised because he was looking at me. He then immediately looks away
when I look at him making me get confused.
(What was that? Why is he looking at me-- wait don't tell me he is going to do something) I just shake
my head and look at my hands before making myself in alert in case something might happen.
I glance at the chair where Kaylee was sitting a while ago and guilt flashed to my system making me
look defeated and disappointed at myself.
(I think I need to apologize to her after this. I kind of hurt her feelings with that stare that I gave her
maybe she taught that I was glaring at her) I sigh and look at the window while trying to calm myself
and thinking if she is fine outside.
Suddenly Sir Tanner clap his hands making me got startled and snap back. I immediately look at him in
a flash.
He was already smiling and calm not like a while ago that he was blazing and looking ready to devour
something in his grasp.
(I guess now I know why Ace is kind of nervous whenever he meets this person) I kind of smile and
immediately hide it since I don't want them to misinterpret it.
(I don't want him to understand it the other way around-- but wait why is he amused and not angry now.
Did Tobios do something with his status?)
I looked confused and at the same time I feel like something is not right.
"Okay then I'll let this slide and let you go but if you do this again without proper authorization, I'll
punish all of you" the last words were a bit threatening I say.
"Thank you Sir" I immediately said in disbelief. (I can't believe he'll let this slide just like that. I really
think Tobios did something that's why Sir is just letting this slide)
(Well I don't care as long us I will get away too from this situation then I won't question it)
We all said stand up and said goodbye to Sir and went out immediately but before we got out Tobios
pissed him off telling him that he needs to get laid to lessen his temper.
Sir Tanner raged and nearly sent him flying out of the window making me stare it shock.
"YOU FUCKER" Tobios shouted while standing at the window frame and I was just frozen still while
looking at them.
"He nearly throws him out of the window" I mumble in shock and this girl near me is also share the
same expression as me.
"Well that was fun" I said and then Sir looked-- I mean glared at us.
"Want to join him--"
"Nope I'm already walking away" I immediately said turning around I went out of the room and but I
stopped when I saw Antonette who looked scared and she immediately drink a potion and she turned
into a bird and fly away out of the room.
"Damn caster who can just escape easily" I mumble to myself while I look for her as she flies away and
Tobios was shouting at Sir Tanner who just look at him annoyed.
